Attaturk writes:

You know it’s true at certain points Lincoln’s popularity was not high, but that was certainly NOT the case in say November 1864 when he defeated George McClellan (the David Petraeus of his time). This was documented in one of those, what do you call ‘em? … oh yeah, historical facts…
************

Just to be clear. Lincoln died in the early hours of April 15, 1865. Lincoln’s assassination came in the month following his second inauguration as president which occurred on March 4 and less than a week after Lee’s Appomattox Court House surrender which occurred on April 9. At the time of Lincoln’s passing, the Union was in the midst of a great celebration and the sixteenth president’s popularity was at its all-time height.

He was ASSASSINATED. And it wasn’t NEAR the end of his term.

Where do they find these morons, and why are they on my television?

well to be fair he does have the entire Fox Network fooled.

I refuse to give those creeps that much credit; they know they are lying, and probably brag to each other about it.

I watched part of this documentary too last night. We’re running out of oil? Hardly. The question should actually be, “How much oil can we steal from the Arabs?”

Dave of the Jungle, who is a long time commenter on AMERICAblog, always asks the question: Why did God put the oil under the Arabs?

Maybe to test America’s Christians? Could be. ;-)

“We talked a lot about President Lincoln. And there’s going to be a lot of people out there who watch this hour and say, is he trying to equate himself with Lincoln? ” And Perhaps wonder if Bush is Sociopath who
“Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.”
( My bold) Extremely Convincing well to be fair he does have the entire Fox Network fooled.

“* Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature
Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others. “
Do Nancy and Harry have no friends that recognize these symptoms?

What I disagree with here is the source of the demonization, I saw most of the early demonization coming from the Clinton side. And as far as this election goes, with the Clinton’s press for the suit in Nevada against Culinary, and with all the caucus “irregularities” there on the Clinton side, I basically said no to the old style Dem politics.
