At least some of the major candidates have significant endorsements from state leaders. GOP Congressmen Jim McCrery, Richard Baker and Rodney Alexander have all endorsed Mitt Romney.

Congressman Charles Boustany and U.S. Senator David Vitter are supporting Rudy Giuliani, while former New Orleans Councilman Bryan Wagner and former Governor Buddy Roemer are backing John McCain.

Mike Huckabee’s state campaign is being organized by party activist and fundraiser Sally Nungesser of Baton Rouge.

Fred Thompson is backed by GOP activist Ross Little of Lafayette and former Elections Commissioner Suzanne Haik Terrell. Governor elect Jindal has not made an endorsement in the presidential race.

BSRH, I posted a link to that newspaper article-from the Sarasota paper, I think – that picked up the NYT “Mr. Nasty” story from a yesterday or 2 days ago. Didja see it? I think you asked specifically for that. He had an event down here a few weeks ago and there’s just no buzz. He’s got a lot of support, still. But things aren’t trending well. Everywhere he goes people ask him why his poll numbers are going into the shitter. He’s a jerk. he’’s been spending $$ to run TV ads all over for a few weeks now.
there’s alot of TV markets here. That was alot of $$. Ya know what? Nobody was really paying attention. Now Willard & McCain are running their ads. Tey were smart enough to wait. Rudy pissed way his money.

Article te other day down here about how the Repugs are all over Flori-duh and totally ignoring Hispanic voters. Remember when Mel martinez was made chairman of RNC? All that talk of bringhing Hiospanic voters into the fold? Didn’t happen. That party is in shit shape. I wish our people would just realize that.

Agree with you, BT. Some threads way back, I suggested that those with relations in FL to report on what they are hearing at the pool or the publix supermarket. Even true Blues must know some Republicans.
