Thanks - I am not used to this new interface and don’t like the fact that you can’t edit after the fact. The last paragraph was not in my letter and I meant to italicize the whole thing.

It’s really sad since Mikulski is supposed to be one of the “good Dems” we’re trying to get more of. Perhaps Verizon put a little present into her stocking recently or she can’t wait to get to Davos.

What is the point of having a political party when the party does not have a policy line on issues, let alone anything resembling party discipline for its members? I mean don’t they all behave as self important independents?

I think they put it out already. When I first looked out and saw it, there was dark black smoke which appeared to be billowing out of the attic vents. Now, all I see is a relatively inocuous cloud of white smoke. Thank goodness for a good fire dept.

Sounds awfully socialist to me.

Good thing we don’t run our hospitals like that.

This is my optimistic (in wishful tin hat mode) take on it: The Dems are doing this so that when we get a Dem for president, she/he will use their “capital” to restore and make right all the wrongs of the Bush Admin.

It’s worth the read for anyone. It lays out the 4th Amend. issues and addresses the issues of Unitary Executive (inherent Presidential Authority)language, AJ and DOJ powers and “balance of Powers” (or lack there of) language.
