You and me too! Of all the potential Republicans running, he scares the daylights out of me. Think of a Jim Baker in Billy Graham clothing with the charisma to charm the socks off the evangelicals and the gullible. Beyond that, he has no comprehension of foreign, or fiscal policy.

Personally I think, make that hope, that the Repub party will somehow put an end to his run, one how or another. I don’t think they want to be saddled with this fanatic.

As for SC, they have always been the renegade people of the South. Think Strom Thurman. They voted for him well past his senile years without regard to his ability to be effective, just because they …..? Got me beat. Some South Carolinians can be downright contrary.

BTW we should get together sometime…maybe with Mary. I just got back from a half year in Asia but live in Sacramento. Heard there was a FDL meet-up in my absence.

That’d be great. And actually I’m in Citrus Heights (who knows where that is right? unless you’re from here). But tomorrow I’m coming down for the rally.

I guess the meetup was in the Bay Area, but Nefarious Leslie is the local coordinator for Drinking Liberally (which I’ve missed attending for too long) and the local chapter of the ACLU has started a monthly meetup which I think is also the second Thursday of the month — I don’t have the info right now but can get it for you (I’m on the board so I should know this, but we just began it last month)

Huh? WTF? Earth to Kos: Edwards was speaking for me, for my brothers in the Carpenter’s Union, for the Steelworkers, for all the working people of the nation. He was specifically not distorting what Obama said. He was taking that saccharine and essentially pointless pandering to the Reaganites and making a non-trivial statement of our struggle to take back our country from the forces of malevolence and mendacity who have stolen it from us.
