How can he possibly be acceptable in any government position with that kind of hate for people?

Lets shut down military bases around the world. … Lets cancel StarWars. Lets cancel all that next generation weaponry in development. …
Just think of all that money going to healthcare!

There are a lot of big changes we could and probably should make. Maybe Jane will create a thread where we can discuss some really monumental changes we’d like to see happen.

Think what would happen to the banking industry and to the financial markets if a person could use something like a bank card (check card) without having to have their money “stored” in a bank account. Are we far from that already? Are we prepared for the effects of such a thing?

What if somebody actually did come up with a safe way to dispose of nuclear waste, so we might be able to use nuclear power safely? Could we adapt psychologically to that possibility?

What if we actually did get the ultra-super-high-speed high bandwidth internet we’ve already paid for? What would we use it to do? Would the WGA strike end quickly as everybody would rush to get shows on the Net?

What if we invested a modicum of resources into developing a really really great battery system, so we could all use electric cars? How would “Detroit” adapt? How would the oil industry adapt?

Could the federal government really force the housing industry to build greener more energy-efficient houses? What resources would become more in demand and would this really create new green-collar jobs?

Will we ever really develop distance learning so people everywhere can get the best education via the Net?

Will the Net ever be made safe enough for financial transactions?

The possibilities are already around to be considered and the consequences of delaying the adaptation of some of these is stupendously expensive and stupid.

Who has the best health care plans/views, Obama, Edwards or Clinton?

Yes.

I prefer Edwards/Clinton as they cover everybody with a mandate. Obama doesn’t. They’re all preferable to the pugs.

After all, you just go to an emergency room.

Which, as all pampered and incurious presidents know, are absolutely free and provide full, complete, and a final cure for whatever ailment brought them in in the first place.

John Edwards refers to the difficulty of going to an emergency room for radiation treatment for a cancer. But, have you ever tried the ER for a toothache? It’s seriously not funny.
