This interview was awesome! In spite of the political issues surrounding the writers strike, I posted it on my own site because I felt like it had significant educational value. It was obvious that the cuts were due to Goldbrick’s inability to explain his position on anything. At the end, Stewart just leans back in his chair imitating frustrated boredom. Sheer genius. Highly recommended.

Agreed, but let’s don’t blame it on too much Star Trek watching. If only our society were as progressive as the Federation of Star Trek.

i agree to a certain extent that, but i question why the “center” is the goal… the center brought us bill clinton and the possibility of hillary. it leads to the amorphousness of obama. plus there are NO republicans anywhere close to the “center”… so what is the center except a form of republican lite?

in terms of policy direction, every new initiative that has become standard for the candidates come from left of center. and the longer that edwards keeps the tension on the left, the better- hopefully all the way to the white house.

With this new filing, the White House has admitted that although it has long known about the missing emails, it did nothing to recover them, or discover how and why they went missing in the first place. The missing emails are important historical records that belong not to the Bush administration, but to the American people. As a result, the public deserves a full accounting and hopefully, now that the matter is before a federal court, we will get one.

I heard last night on the news (on Olbermann, I think) that the DOJ claims that the tapes are reused to record newer information over the old, as is the “industry standard,” whatever that means.

In this morning’s WaPo, Novakula’s trying his best to restart the Clinton-Obama pie fight:

“Before Tuesday night’s Democratic debate in Las Vegas, both campaigns declared an end to the “race debate” over whether Martin Luther King Jr. or Lyndon B. Johnson was more responsible for civil rights legislation. But the fight really was about the Clintons resenting an obstacle on their return to the White House. A prominent Democrat who saw the former president this week described him as “furious, outraged, angry and utterly dismissive of Obama.”

Sorry, no linky to the undead.

youtube available? RG’s delusionary state cannot get enough exposure
For example.
The NYT wrote today/yesterday of the concern about his poor results of his backers in the NY/NJ/CT region that his strategy of ignoring early primaries was faulty.
Poor NYT has forgotten one week later that he did not ignore NH, in fact out spent others on ad buys and to take into consideration the fact that voters do have preferences and may have heard a few bad things about him.
