Lipinski isn’t just a guy handed a Congressional seat, he’s a supposed Democrat with an incredibly reactionary record. His ACLU rating–one of the lowest Democrats outside of the South/border states. He has zeros from NARAL and Planned Parenthood.
So no family planning at all. Dandy. He and Costello were the only Illinois Democrats to get zeros–the rest? 100s. When the chance was there to vote for contraceptive use by those receiving money in other nations, he voted against it and he voted against funding Planned Parenthood under Title X–contraceptive funding.
From the Family Research Council–71 percent approval. To get that? He voted to remove the power of the Courts to review cases involving the Pledge of Allegiance. He voted against embryonic stem cell research. He voted to not allow those who win federal civil liberties cases related to religious cases to receive court fees. IOW, if you sued to protect your civil liberties and won in a religious liberties case, you could not be compensated for the costs incurred to enforce your rights.He’s from a heavily Latino District–his rating from the the leading anti-immigrant group–60%. And that’s down from 71 percent and higher previously.

I suppose Clusterfuck is tryin to lower oil prices- cause the recession they are helping to cause makes him look bad. He’s the fucker who said while runnin fer prez that all he’d have ta do is call up the Ay-rabs- and tell em ta drop the prices.
Of course, Clusterfuck might have a better chance at lowering prices if he was tryin ta raise em and vice versa…He’s not very handy.

I got a phone call earlier today from the DCCC. I told them to tell Rahm to stuff it and hung up.
I don’t believe it for a second. $100/bbl oil is making all of his bestest buddies incredibly rich. Why? Because with the price at $100, that’s what U.S. companies can sell their domestically-produced oil at – at incredible margins/profits. If anything, all he’s trying to push is – “hey, it’s all good – keep that production low, awright? And then, in, oh say October 2008, you’re gonna free it up again, right?”
“Good seein’ ya again – oh, almost forgot, I brought 30-some billion dollars in arms for ya. Thanks, y’all.”
it’s a joke, all they have to do to lower prices is open the friggin spiget on the friggin Iraqi oil fields
here’s the solution to the oil problem;
1) open the approved refineries the oil companies closed in America
2) open the refineries that they closed down in Iraq
3) MAKE IT ILLEGAL TO SELL AMERICAN OIL OVERSEAS, it must be sold domestically

I can’t see any reason to have anyone in a dem debate except for the top three. No one else has a chance and just gets in the way of learning something about those who are actually in contention.

Rahm, Harold, and the rest of the DLC crowd need to become republicans, which is what they really are, and leave the Party to real Democrats. Alternatively, we progressives must break away and utilize our political capital, yes, I said it, elsewhere. We cannot continue to be taken for granted and manipulated by these people any longer.
