Now I see the brilliance of Commander Guy and Field Marshal Petraeus, who have suddenly switched sides from the formerly weak but now strong 72% Shiia majority to the formerly strong but now weak 10% Sunni Arab minority, who have been doing most of the murdering of U.S. soldiers in Iraq since 2003. A very clever strategy indeed. And we can see its success in the reduced fatality rate. Hmmmmmm.</p> Ah ha. Kurds were about 15%, Turkmen, and other minorities about 10% and Shi’a in the South predominanty were about 60% of the population. </p> <p>With the blatant ethnic cleansing that we are engaged in about 2-2.5 million Sunni Arab Iraqis have been forced in to exile. The net result is that today the Sunni Arabs have been reduced to less than 10% of the overall population inside Iraq. The Sunni middle class including Ba’athist technocrats and intelligentsia are largely going steadily broke in Amman and Damascus. </p> <p>The net result of the ethnic cleansing has been to increase the Shi’a majority from 60% of the population pre-invasion to about 72% of the populaton today.
