Back in the summer I saw Obama following Edwards lead and I saw Hillary fighting back for a while and then stopping. She didn’t want to fight. Now, after the entry of racism into the discussion and her near destruction after Iowa it appears Hill wants to fight to the death.

But, it appears to me they’re both just jumpin’ around like marionettes on strings and somebody else is pulling the strings.

Neither looks presidential.

I still think that Obama is (now more than ever) strongly favored to win the nomination. You have no idea how many people honestly believe the Clintons are racists. I just hate that the Obama campaign keeps pushing this story; it’s horrible.

Hillary is lying.

Ain’t it true! Kucinich be gone and mostly forgotten. And many here are quite willing to vote for whomever the dems ‘choose’ by way of a process which is so flawed, unfair, and undemocratic that it may only be termed ‘pathetic’.

Congressional dems will not fight for what is right and the people will not fight for their rights.

But everyone hopes against hope that everything will work out right.

And they are quite correct, all of the ‘leading’ candidates will do what is ‘right’ and there will be more war and more death and more despair.

After about another decade the public will tire of the ‘right’ thing but then, what will be left?

During the Presidential campaign, when Bush started off on the theme of saying that Kerry and Edwards both voted for the IAUF and the supplementals Edwards pressed Kerry not to retract their IAUF vote. “Don’t fall for the trap…we’ll be labelled as flip-floppers”. Profiles In Courage!

And although Edwards keeps saying that Hillary hasn’t retracted her vote, she has. in almost the exact fashion that Edwards has, in fact. Just as Edwards did so by blaming the Bush Administration officials who “lied” to the Intelligence Committee (Edwards didn’t actually bother to read the more detailed NIE), Hillary has made this same claim. Both say that they trusted Bush not to invade unless the inspectors were booted out…actually Edwards doesn’t even say that. He was certain that Saddam was a bad man and had WMD’s. Hillary at least says that Bush reneged on his promise. Thus for Edwards the IAUF was indeed an authorization for war, whatever happened to the inspection process.

Edwards says “I’ll have to live with my vote, so will everyone else” but he really thinks that he should get a BYE for it. He has, after all, apologized for it. And he got there before Hillary did. ASFAIK Edwards didn’t retract his position until 2006 (or perhaps very late 2005).

Obama said he opposed the war, but in 2004 he said he wouldn’t know how he would have voted as he wasn’t a Senator in 2002, and Senators have access to all sorts of Super-Secret info. He now says that his 2004 retranchement was because he didn’t want to hurt the Kerry-Edwards ticket by taking a contrary stance. Another Profile In Courage!

None of these stooges ever came out to any political protests, put their bodies in line to go to jail, were willing to use their wonderful aura or ability to craft a speech to rally opposition to the war. They all cowered from being associated with Cindy Sheehan, Code Pink, Grannies Against the War. Heck there were Republicans out giving speeches at anti-War protests…Pete McCloskey gave several. Edwards, Obama, Clinton…not so much.

But almost everyone in this “Progressive” community acts as if Kucinich doesn’t exist – while decrying the idea that the mainstream media will make our choice for us. They have made the choice – a Republican or a DINO/Republican lite.
