I don’t think her money is separable from his money, and Bill has been raking it in from speaking fees. Hillary also got a million dollars from the sale of her book.

Hillary’s enemies turn her into a sympathetic figure. Her candidacy should be opposed, but not for the wrong reasons. There are plenty of right reasons not to support Clinton for President.

The other day she told a crowd “fired up” “ready to go ” she suddenly says ” this is personal with me” she is now taking on the establishment and wants change. She changes with the weather. Check out her campaign finance report. She loves big oil and big pharma. Has done pretty goood for a public servant
who shows between 5-25 million just in her Citi bank accountalone . She mishandled health care her only asignment in her husbands infamous administration, was W”’s handmaiden for war. Offerred carte blanche in Iran by again siding with W and Lieberman. Triangulation she would try strangulation to be President.

Obviously we are embroiled in an election cycle that will determine the future direction that this country will take.The sides are drawn and will not deviate from their entrenched position. Obama realizes this and to accomplish
his goals he must mobilize a movement of Democrats, Republicans ,and independents that it is so powerful that it will be able to sever the strangle hold which special interests has on our government. Obama needs us to make that possible.

If all three of them pledged to join the filibuster (couldn’t they let Edwards speak, at least from the floor?), they couldn’t argue that they were missing opportunities on the hustings while there opponents weren’t. They might even get some FREE news coverage. So how likely is that? I didn’t think so either.

Oh dear cinnamonape - just did a quick google of Fortress Investment Group and visited their web site. Then phoned a trusted friend and stock broker and asked what he knew about FIG. I learned that it is a respected hedge fund and designed to protect wealth assets from volatile markets. Here is a linky to wikipedias site explaining how hedge funds operate.

This kind of financial stuff is way out of my league but then the very rich - and I assume the Edwards are at least in the rich, if not very rich, category have every right to work with and protect their assets.

Am just saying that if John Edwards did have any taint of scandal or egregious greed in his past surely his rivals would have likely dug it up long before now and spun it and all that awful crap.

I’m an Edwards fan, but if Obama could demonstrate his magic power to inspire Repubs to work with him by getting just ONE Republican senator to join him for just ONE day in joining Dodd’s filibuster, I’ll quit my job and volunteer for him full-time until November.

It would be a feat that put an end to questions about the post-partisan love-fest hope plan.
