I am pretty convinced that Lawrence O’Donnell’s tirade against Edwards (on Huffington) as a white southern man who would stand in the way of a black man was a Clinton hit piece - and an effective one. O’Donnell is a long time Hillary supporter and DCC man. The remark was intended to get southern (and other?) white men (and women) up in arms against Obama as a Johnie-come-lately and worse. You need to put this in the context of the Cuomo racist comments, and some of what Bill said in NH. Plus, the Clinton folks seem to be willing to do lots behind the scenes against the interests of the Dem party more generally. Why did she decide to go against the party in Michigan?
