Santana performing Soul Sacrifice at Woodstock, 1969.
Carlos!!!
hey suzanne!
hey neuro
hey tex
Hey, I saw Santana in Denver in like, 1965.
Going to say Hi and then good night….
Suzanne! wonderful to see ya supplying the pups with so much good music on a regular basis. Miss stopping by the lake, life is like that, busy, not busy, busy.
g’nite katymine
thanks ndfg
Carlos!!! Yeah Baby!!!
“Recalculating” as my GPS says, rather I saw them in 1967. They were great.
Woodstock and Santana…!
sleep well katymine
I was old enough to want to go to Woodstock but not old enough (or under the right circumstances) to go.
I read about it in Life Magazine.
Hips moving. Shaking. Quaking. Lovin. Santana!!!
Good night all. I need my beauty sleep.
nite mary
kickass job!
night mary. congrats on the job.
g’nite mary mcc
good night mary – and good 99′ing.
think about the SF gig….you could clean up
(and have the cleaning done for you…)
i was on the wrong coast
and i had the bad luck to come down with the mumps instead of going to altamont.
Too young, but wishing to go.
*rubbing tushkie* OUCH that hiccup forking hurt
speed bump… finally landed.
Hey, Newtonusr
I thought I was old enough to go to Woodstock, but my parents thought otherwise. When a couple of us grabbed an empty station wagon to head there from Cape Cod, we didn’t even get as far as the Canal before the State Troopers stopped us.
Hi Christine! How’s Ohio tonight?
I’m still mad at Ned. Anybody wanna fight?
About what? I am pissed at him as well. What the h*** is going on?
Did your parents notify the cops to stop you? Or were you just looking too much like DFH?
Teddy, it being Ned, makes me want to sit and think. But not too long.
Here’s one I always liked
Neuro, me too.
I even knew a girl a year older who went with her older brother.

Woodstock was my coming home and getting out of the Army after two years in Germany, what home coming! I stayed two days but boy what a show. I see the video was from the movie I When I saw the movie it was like I was back there!
Hey NT,
Pretty warm, rainy, and dirty. Our building project will continue for years.
EPUd
Hey Margot!
How about all this weird weather here?
By the way one suddenly have problems getting to the site a bit ago? I got database error and then timed out for 5- 10 minuets.
some great utubes of clips from that movie
site was down for a bit
Look who he’s got with him in this one
I know that, but thanks anyway. It’s the big picture I am trying to figure out.
Anyhow, I just decided I’m too tired to fight or even chat. I walked all four dogs again tonight and I have to get my beauty sleep so that I can have a nice taco lunch with Aunt Betsy tomorrow. I’ll let you know if we solve all the world’s problems.
with los lonely boys
I don’t know, I was not happy to hear Ned had endorsed Obamomentum, but I am not too upset about it. Perhaps he felt that realistically the race had narrowed down to two and that Barack is the more progressive of the two. But how he forgives Obamomentum for supporting Joe Lie (and fails to reward Edwards for his support in the Senate race) is hard to understand. I wonder whether he gave John the courtesy of a phone call. Also, he could have had the decency to wait until after South Carolina.
I should try and see if it is out on DVD, it would be worth $$ just for the memories.
Hi Chris!
Well, it’s feeling less like spring, which is good. That made me really nervous.
Now I’ve got a really wet dirty dog to dry off several times a day!
yes
g’nite gnome and have a nice taco lunch with tex
nahant, if not too personal, how did it go today with the doc (and feel free to tell me to mind my own business)
But like I said, I am not too upset. I would most likely end up voting for Barack on Feb. 5 if Edwards is out by then. Still, it was not a classy thing that Ned did.
I will also issue the disclaimer that I have not read Ned’s Kos diary. Not sure I want to.
I loved the snow last week, and now all gone. We had wicked rain tonight. And our cat, Elvis, hates that.
49 and foggy here. damp damp damp all around me
Well they are making me go to AAA meetings. Pisses me off but what the hell if I want a cure for liver cancer gotta go with the program. I haven’t had a beer since August. On the 24th I get arthroscopic surgery and chemo ablation. That should only entail a couple of days in the hosipital. I am in good shape and liver functions are normal so it should be no sweat. Thanks for asking.
Hows Token? I loved his pictures reminds me of Tucker when he was a puppy his coat has lightened up alto. He looked alot like Token.
I voted by mail today for Obama. Bite me, purists :)
never knew stanford demanded ya change car insurance (extra a there – laughing)
token has a wet belly thing going on unless i put a shirt on him before we got outside. today, he is being a manly mandog and going commando. he is currently sleeping in his bed on his chair (next to mine)
Good luck!
sounds like Tucker. Right now he is at the top of the stairs waiting for moma to come to bed.
That wet belly thing I can relate to. does token try and avoid doing his duty when the rain is coming down and he makes you come with him to the back of the house where I trained him to do it. I swaer he just won’t go unless you go with him.
Edwards may have a very low probability of winning the nomination, but he may be decisive as to who gets the nomination. I’m very unhappy with both Obama and Clinton, though I have a mild preference for Obama at this point. But I’d like to leverage my vote by increasing Edwards credibility as kingmaker.
Thanks I have a large rooting peanut gallery for me.
nahant,
my dog is sort of a beagle/dachsund mix and she tries to avoid getting her tummy wet. Unless she smells something and then she’s rooting through the garden like a blur!
token is a wuss at times, nahant. on friday when we got 9 inches of rain, i opened the front door, he saw the rainfall and backed away from the door. i picked him up, carried him out in the downpour and once his feet hit the ground, he was fine.
i guess 9″ of rain is intimidating for a little guy weiging 9 lbs and is longer than he is tall.
Three of our five household cats are in the room at the moment. My own cat is sitting on my printer. The other two are eating. It has gotten a bit tricky because one of them got sick and has to eat a special kind of food (which is more expensive). The others, for whatever reason, want to eat his food even though they have their own. One in particular always seems to get to it (and she has a weight problem so we are trying to limit her intake anyway). We are constantly having to keep track of who is in which room and whether there is food there, and if so who is supposed to be eating it.
agreed
He better stay in the race we are going to be voting for him, we will be sitting down and going over the ballot this weekend. But I am not sure about the ballot initiatives, guess I will have to do some home work. Our ballet doesn’t have any one contesting no one else. I was expecting at least ballot for congressman. Maybe we will be doing that in June at the normal primary time??
we have prez primary on 2/5 and then a regular one in june?
Tucker just loves to go after squirrels and cats, in fact when I want to take him out for his business he waits until I tell him to get the kitty and make kitty noises a few times.
It would be very interesting if absentee ballots got counted and the count announced on a daily basis as the ballots came in possibly months ahead of primary day. In that case, I might vote very early and very differently to give a minor candidate an early boost, in hopes of promoting him/her to be a major candidate.
I am just guessing as only the prez one is on our ballots. I checked today the ballot and was puzzled by it.
token is buddies with all the neighborhood cats. he walks up to them and touches noses with them when we are on our walks. he was heavily influenced by bailey (so named for her propensity for taking foot bail) when he was still a puppy.
Thats my plan, we only got the ballots on Monday or Tuesday this week.
isn’t there law prohibiting the release of vote counts until after the polling places close on election day?
Well it was a trying day and I am hitting the hay going to hit the hay. Good all you pups and remember don’t have any of these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAnayUpbJYs
Talk at ya tomorrow!!
Propositions 94, 95, 96, 97. Fortunately, someone I almost always agree with analyzes them in detail. So, I simply call him.
Right. I was simply saying that it might be interesting if there weren’t such a law. It would certainly change my strategy.
You can check online after you send to make sure they got it so I imagine they are counting as they come in. But do they release it is a good ????
Nitey night.
sleep well, nahant.
wigwam, i got robocalled on one of them props today by the r’s. i ignored it as i let my answering machine deal wtih it and can’t remember which prop they were bitching about but i figure if the r’s are against it… its gotta be worth voting for.
good night, all
g’nite neuro
Re:
Ned was a Republican wasn’t he? As Grover Norquist infamously quipped, “bipartisanship is date rape”, especially among party switching losers. [Wayne Morse excepted. He’s one of my heroes.] :)
So what about this “bipartisanship” nonsense? The Trotskyists seem to see right through this rapine of the proletariat, as it was staged at Mike Bloomberg’s debutante affair in Oklahoma this week:
“The demand, made in the name of the American people, for an end to what Nunn called “rampant partisanship” is as brazen as it is absurd. What is an election about—if it is anything more than an empty ritual—if not the airing of political differences and the advancement of competing programs?”
It’s time for both sides to fight the class war, don’t you think? Since 1980 in the class war, the elites have been drubbing the surrender monkeys.
i’m gonna head to bed myself. token’s dry now and it is safe to allow him in bed. wet dog is so not my favorite smell
EPUd = ?
I experienced the problem as well.
g’nite everybody.
nite suzanne
nite teddy
Re:
California absentee?
EPU is when you leave a comment on the last thread and you want people to know about it.
I have some questions for The Lurking Mod.
Will he answer them?
Good Evening, Margot. How may I be of help?
Just click on the EPUd, and it should take you back to my late comment downstairs. (For reasons I don’t understand, it appeared that everyone had left there, but I couldn’t get find any new page.)
EPU is a commenter here, now immortalized.
Hi, TLM.
If you’re busy, don’t worry about it.
OK, I have this mental image of you as Lurch on the Addams Family.
Are you over 6 feet tall?
Thanks, then let me guess “Extending Past Uplink”?

Now that I’ve stopped laughing, more like Uncle Fester.
Gulp, I think I’ve polished off (last comment) about a dozen threads in the last week. Sounds like I’m the new Evil… oh, never mind.

Shit
lol
I remember you saying, “You rang?” in the past to someone who asked a few questions, which is why I got that image.
Uncle Fester? Oh now, I doubt that.
Also, a couple of years ago, Tee Shirts saying “I got EPU’d at FDL” were a hot item in the fashion world: http://futuredv.blogspot.com/2…..pu-on.html
Oh no.
Nite to all.
You seem unpleased. But I’m not sure I understand why. I’m speculating that you are a Clintonista who fears losing Clyburn to Obamamania? Is that it?
Yep. And who knows yet what it’s about…
nite margot. i’m out of here, too.
Re:
My Goodwill Store didn’t carry that item.
An Edwardian who wants the election to be about qualifications and positions.

Yikes, an extremist!
Yeah. Some days, I don’t wear socks.
Ok. nite all.
G’nite, newtonuser. And, I’m signing off for the night too. So G’nite, everyone.

Oh, you must be one of those high toned do-gooders that we like to call goo-goos, Good Government types. Won’t you people ever grow up? (wink)
