Whoever wins the New Hampshire primary will win the nomination! Whoever loses should just concede and go home! /snark
So, with that in mind, it looks like it’s officially McCain on the Republican side; Huckabee is so totally yesterday’s news, and Mitt says he’s happy with his two silvers. Rudy’s in a dogfight with Ron Paul for fourth place, and Fred Thompson appears to be trailing the write-ins for sixth.
And on the Democratic side, it looks like Hillary may have rallied to recover from the crushination in Iowa, and Edwards is a distant third.

Huckabee: “it’s Elvis’ birthday”
There you have it, his domestic priority.
Hiya Eli!
Can I copy and paste your post and turn it in for school tomorrow???
j/k!
We need a pool on what time Thompson calls it quits.
I so want Thompson to go away.
Folks downstairs are still debating the authencity of Hillary’s tears…I think the fatigue was real.
Hi guys!
wow – three-part harmony at the top of the comments!
w00t.
Just like the stooges.
Thompson has to be awake to quit doesn’t he? Course maybe the trophy wife’s keepin him awake kickin hell out of him.
If he just could have figured out a way to get Elvis’s endorsement…
Where’s Chuck Norris?
“I wanna be First Lady I wanna be First Lady I wanna be First Lady!”
Huck will never set foot in NH again.
I’m very interested to see how another ignored candidate does by the end of hte evening (paul) in this state of independent voters…
I’m disappointed with Edwards showing… Eli, ya didn’t mention Mitt’s gold in Wyoming, and his probable victory in Michigan, similarly, Hill is banking on MI… ;-)
Probably on his way back after personally carrying all of Huckabee’s voters to the polls.
The media pushes the candidates forward and the people of a few key states get to pick the best corporate, republican-lite candidate that the punditocracy labels as progressive.
Freddie’s havin a long talk with a tall scotch and soda.
Or falls asleep. For falling asleep, I have 1980.
He’s kicking Hollywood Fred’s ass.
The Wyoming primary is not part of the Official Narrative of how the nominee is determined. Only Iowa and New Hampshire are the Magical Success Places.
And don’t mind me. This Californian just has a case of primary envy.
Typo in the title: shouldn’t it have three exclamation points, not just one?
Do you think the fact that she is currently winning by any chance may have something to do with the press (and probably the campaign itself) lowering expectations all day? We’ve been told since very early this morning that it’s likely Hillary will lose this race, when she was winning just a few weeks ago. This may be proof of a sympathy vote.
Bush is talking about taxes again yet somehow he fails to mention that debt spending on war is a tax that needs to be paid later on with interest.
Larry Kudlow is forgetting that it was Milton Friedman who said that. Kudlow is calling for more Federal Reserve rate cuts to raise the market.
Doesn’t he know that Fed Cuts lower the value of the dollar?

Malloy is on!
This is gonna be good. Awwwwrrrrggghhh!
I need a big dose of outrage.
I think Obama still wins. But if he does not take Nashua it is all over.
Still pulling for Edwards to get 20% but that is not likely.
Most interesting thing going into Iowa and coming out of NH will be what does Obama and Edwards do in the end-game (I imagine post Feb 5th but mabye sooner or maybe all the way)…do they prevent eachother from winning where either dropping out (or maybe only Edwards dropping out). Etc.
I gotta ask again, though — has anyone ever heard a network “call” third place before? Both ABC and NBC have done this tonight for Edwards.
Isn’t it past his bedtime already?
I so love an underdog to shake things up.
MSNBC looks really petty. They were all but calling it for Obama before the polls, but now that she is in the lead in the early returns, they are really stingy about discussing whether she might win.
Really stingy
He smells great though, doesn’t he?
Wow, the mainstream media got it right this time just like they did in Iowa. How do they do it?
If he loses I wonder how long the trophy will stay? Same goes for poor Rudy.

Sorry, I was in a hurry, I didn’t have time to add more.
I simply don’t think she’s that good of an actress, especially without a script?!! Nah!
dude, That’s so Joe Scarborough!!! Wow!!!
A numerical comment–
Jane mentioned in an earlier post the independents numbers (4/10 for Dems, 3/10 for GOP); that makes it sound almost even, but really the right way to look at it is this: since Dem turnout is about 50% more than GOP, independents are going 65-35 for Dems. (This is the the right way to look at it, because this is the way it comes into the calculations for general elections.)
“Folks downstairs are still debating the authencity of Hillary’s tears…I think the fatigue was real.”
It seemed utterly genuine to me. Unfortunately, what followed may also have been utterly genuine, i.e. when she switched to trash talk. Frankly, she was more genuine during the “tears” segment. I just wanted to know what it was that she “saw” that she was so upset about.

WOO! Paul is only a few hundred from Rudy.
As expected its dead Fred, giving up SS and Medicare for Iraq war spending is a great platform.
Situations can happen between now and next November. We think.
I’m not sure if it is exactly a “sympathy vote”… just talked to VeryOldMother and she is PISSED at the way they have been talking about Clinton – pissed! I tell ya’!
Perhaps it may be an anger vote – but I don’t think it is sympathy…
Thanks Siun. I really appreciate your NH insights here and on the last thread.
Tom Brokaw talking about moral values and McCain.
Didn’t McCain adulter his first wife with the current Mrs McCain?
Brokaw just said Rudy’s doing poorly because Iraq’s going so well and no-one’s afraid of Teh Scary Terrists.
Yes, and it looks like Dems are about 2 to 1 over Repubs.
Make that two key states – the media pushes the corporate-sponsored candidate forward (like NASCAR without the stickers) and people from two key states get to pick the republican-lite candidate whom the media will call a progressive.

McCain looks really happy
Hi Bob in HI
I can relate to fatigue and low blood sugar leading to a shaky voice and maybe some tearing up. It coulda been real. I frankly don’t care and think it’s getting too mcuh coverage
oh, jeez, Old Lord McCain is speaking to Teh Privileged Ones now….
I can’t provide specific examples but yeah, I seem to recall them doing similar on some of the primaries and such in ‘00 and ‘04. Even back in ‘92 as far as that goes although there was no where near the extent of coverage as there is today.
Not saw – felt. She was among women who understood what it was like and she felt that and was touched by it. We used to call it the sisterhood until Paris Hilton and her ilk took over. Blegh
Wow – these old white guys must really want to go to bed. McCain’s up now. Hey, a short speech, and he’s still in bed by 10:00.
Tell me something, how can you declare yourself a winner with 30% of the votes counted?
Now McCain is the “comeback kid.” Creep.
Yep. Just like Rudy did with Judy while still married to Donna.
Sounds like somebody needs to tell Brokaw to STFU.
Exactly….they trashed Clinton because she cried just reminded losts of us women about the double standard. I absolutely sure it was authentic. She was tired, she’s been dealing with crap for 15 years at least and just imagine how it feels to work so hard and be kicked in the teeth over and over, and then finally to be authentic when asked by a sympathetic person how are you doing?
Still almost no results from the western towns … these are more likely to go Edwards or Obama and went Dean last time.
Republican Vermin Supreme is at 9 votes. In the Democratic column candidate O. Savior has 8 votes.
Hey, let’s all chant “Mac is back! Mac is back”, okay?
McLiebermann is going to tell the truth. Hmmm.
McCain hasn’t committed adultery since his dick fell off- he’s a moral giant.
right about the time he notices an open shuffle-board court
McCain “this wonderful state we trust and love”.
Same thing he says about Meet the Press, I bet.
Can’t believe McCain is reading his victory speech.
Nothing like winning an election to reinvigorate an old warmonger like McCain. Seriously, he’s never looked or sounded better this cycle. The media will love this up.

GAWD – McCain has barely looked up from his script. He’s reading it like a 7 year old.
I was so happy when it looked like his campaign was dead last year. He’s *still* the Republican who scares me the most, just because the media loves him so much, and loves to push the “straight-talking maverick” narrative.
Has he thanked Rape Gurney Joe yet?

Goodnight to each and everyone of you.
me and lahoma
He does look mighty spunky tonight… a week ago, I pretty much thought he was at death’s door…
apparently winning does a body good…
It seemed that way to me too, Bob. In fact, I almost teared up. (Gotta mute McCain) It was the words, the this country is so fucked up, we HAVE to get it righted. And then this slamming of her for losing her composure. She didn’t fucking cry, she lost her composure, she choked up. Like Rachel Maddow said, Mitt cried 3 times on 3 different occasions – why wasn’t that news? Of course, she was talking with Pat Buchanan * the blond asshole – Chris Matthews.
At least he *can* read unlike Chimp.
Who wrote this shit? It doesn’t really sound like McCain….
So if McCain got elected he would be older than Ronald Reagan when he became President. Should be an interesting sell, an angry old warmonger. Did I mention how old McCain is? If not, well he’s old.
g’night, OKK… ‘night Lahoma…
So – 35% reporting and Willard is still within 5,000 votes. I guess it just goes to show that there is never a need to wait for actual results. Republicans somehow just *know* how elections are gonna come out…
Oh fuck, I’m going back to work! Gawd help m.
He is so old, if he is elected it matters so much who is his VP. Please God not Lieberman.
I’m wondering if the media’s obvious glee at Hillary’s setbacks, and the rampant sexism of the coverage, led a lot of last-minute deciders to choose her.
I say that as someone who prefers both Edwards and Obama to Hillary.
Thanks Siun for the results. What website are you getting these from?

I wonder if Ron Paul will be the next unexpected winner?

John salutes you all.
McCain certainly is a maverick although he had one of the most conservative voting records in the last Congress. And he’s a straightshooter too. You wouldn’t catch him running against Bush and then embracing him and his war. You wouldn’t see him try to sell himself as a Christian conservative. You wouldn’t find him toughening up his position on immigration. No, you wouldn’t. That’s what makes him a maverick. Oh wait . . .
Thanks Siun!
Will McCain ever shut up?
Yes PLEASE shut up!!! And, all those flags, spare me!
will the crowd ever shut up?
Speaking of Lord Of The Rings, I’m also reminded of how the last movie in the trilogy seemed to end about four or five times, but just kept going…
Strangest victory speech ever. It’s putting viewers to sleep. What were his advisers thinking?
Siun, thanks SO MUCH for your insight on these results.
I grade you ACCURATE, unlike a few of our fellow Digg readers.

No matter how you slice it or dice it, McCain has 23,000 votes and Hillary has 35,000 and Obama has 32,000. That should give McCain pause.
after super tuesday
That’s just how I felt today.
I dislike where Hillary stands on so many issues, but the treatmetn she has recieved this week from the media, really really offended me.
I wasn’t too thrilled with the media all but ignoring Edwards either. Instead of trying to shape the news, I wish they would just report it.
Maybe McCain is trying to demonstrate his impressive staying-awake skills for those who think he’s too old.
I’m hoping someone will run it thru some plagerism software tomorrow. He clearly did not write it himself.

McCain has had seven years to get his talking points down and learn a stump speech. He can’t even remember an entire sentence without consulting his notes. My wife, who is in Toastmasters, says there’s no way he can get elected if he can’t even learn a speech.

I’m telling you, it isn’t “sympathy”, it is pure undulterated fury… I’m guessing a whole lot of old women, who recognize the patent unfairness for exactly what it is, were standing there on swollen ankles and with terrible sore knees to exact a little justice…

I am thinking that Obama is holding his own re the pollster’s predictions. Hillary is siphoning votes from Edwards, who blew it big time when he piled on her for tearing up. I have been an Edwards supporter for some time, and even I was nauseated at his behavior. It may have been a fatal error. Sad to say…
No, it sounds like he doesn’t know how to read a children’s story to a kindergarten class. They’d never put up with this kind of storyteller.
Maybe that explains the raucus crowd.

And clubbing baby seals just to avoid all the violence back here?
thinking of that earlier. Since 2000, many of us feel that we can no longer put any faith in “elections”
Nashua half reported ~ with Hillary at 49% Obama 28% and Edwards at 16%. Looks like Hillary is taking the central cities by a wide margin and Obama the ones on the SE border. Obama is doing well outside the cities though. Edwards seems to be a non-factor in this primary, though. Below 20% everywhere.
Edwards really needs to do well in South Carolina, but the polls there don’t look very good for him, oddly. Is there some dislike of “Northerners” (i.e. North Carolinians) in S. Carolina, or sumpthin’?
It sounds like he’s trying to read a child to sleep.
Mornin Joe hammerin John for reading the speech. Ok, as a Vietnam Vet I am offended at the way these MSM are treating John. Making fun of him’ laughing at him after all these years of putting up with all this crap. Why, even though I disagree with everything he says I may vote for him.
I think the criticism of Edwards about what Hillary did is overblown.
getting tighter, gonna be a squeaker judging by the exit poll data.
Is it possible that McCain is on something?

Nashua starting in and Clinton way up.
Only hope for Obama is that his supporters voted later and perhaps that they had to use some of the photocopied ballots that are taking longer to count.

lol, WMUR is showing McCain’s previous speech…

Not sure if those were final numbers, but the discrepancy in the Dem/Rep counts this time are noticeable.
heh…
Hillary is doing better there than anywhere else, counter to expectations.
A podium??
Johnny B. Goode.
oh jeez Noron.
Now I hope these fucking pundits who were talking about her withdrawing, etc., will shut up!
Nora odonnell….. yuck.
Actually, Edwards is polling right where he was expected to. He never had the money or the organization in NH to move the vote. His position is somewhat like Huckabee’s. Neither had the time or resources to capitalize on their showings in Iowa.
Chuck Berry not Johnny Winter.
And btw, regardless of whether it is Clinton or Obama who ends up getting the most votes in NH, they both will get 2 delegates.
Remember (as much as the MSM wants you to forget), it is all about the delegates!
Noron.
She’s lovely.
Sorry, I just don’t buy this. What a bunch of hooey. What did Edwards say? That it was a tough job and you need to be tough? Oooh, harsh. And yeah, in alternate universe, I can see how that would be construed as sexist.
Edwards has not had a full 17% of the vote all night. His percentage has been rounded up. He’s been floating between 16.65% and 16.85%.
Noron sez late deciders split for O/C
But the old man in the mountain in NH fell down …
good lord that was a weird time
He really should’ve kept his mouth shut about it–instead, he came off sounding like the likes of Tweety; which he is not. He came off sounding spiteful and mean-spirited.
I really wanted him to do much better in NH. He is the only Dem (other than Kucinich) talking about what is really wrong with this country…and what to do about it.
they split the delegates?
MSNBC exit poll suggesting that those who made up their minds in last three days split evenly between Obama/Clinton– 38% each
No, actually, I like seals. I tend to be friends with most animals I come across. How about you?

Since ‘72, the Dems have divided the delegates awarded in each state proportional to the per cent of votes the candidates receive assuming at least 15% (I believe that is the threshold).

I got a rule about animals – about their fur. This is it: never wear the fur of an animal more beautiful than you.
That lets out most of us from wearing anything, but maybe, what? A sick rat?
Gotta a great laugh.
Makes sense with the exit poll data someone linked to – she did well with women and with seniors.
Dang, I’m amidst a Spring Cleaning, and ya just had to sneak that in, eh?
Shut up Tweety. Jeez.
Careful, you never know which firepup hates which newsperson.
Shall I ‘fix’ my NH quarters I have saved, then? :)
matthews wants to be mccain’s best friend
I wouldn’t want to be the guy (and I betcha it’s a guy) counting the money coming into the McCain campaign tomorrow.
Really, it’s all about media narratives, and I must thank the blogosphere for attending me to this aspect: up/down, sell newspapers, get eyeballs on yer channel.
Tweety on McCain: “He found a new strength, he has a special kind of courage.”
I have been a consistent Edwards supporter, and I will say that when I read of his “tough” remarks re Hillary (I mean come on, has anyone every implied that Hillary is not tough????), I wondered what I would do if I were a New Hampshire voter. It felt like a punch in the gut, I was so disappointed in him.
On TV earlier someone said that Huckabee is now leading nationally among the Rethugs. If this happens there will be a McCain-Huckabee bloodbath in the MSM
Maybe not with his baby but fer damn sure with his Babe.
I mean it.
I love her.
Tweety at least can be decent to someone. As long as they are Republican
Completely agree with you Teddy – MSM is piling on by spinning Edwards a loser and Hill’s campaign operatives no doubt encouraging negativity, real or imagined to smear Edwards. Simply disgusting same old same old.
Tweety is admitting that McCain used a canned speech.
He admits that Hillary may have surprised him. He is very upset. Poor Tweets.
all agree – McCain *looks* mahvelous.
just wonderin’ – is he friends with Barry Bonds?
Well maybe at last after tonight, our bloggers will cease to acknowledge the egregious Chris “I guarantee” Bowers as an authority on anything other than his own hubris.
If by “best friend” you mean like in Brokeback Mountain, yup.
Clinton takes Londonderry – I am calling it for Clinton. 40 – 37 Obama.
Mitt also took the town.
Londonderry used to be all Bush and R signs. All of them disappeared in 2006. But anyway that an Manchester and Nashua going to Clinton.
Only chance if Obama gets the late ballots by the ones photocopied and hand counted. Not sure who is winning the mail in ballots that they were opening throught the day – to likely the end.
This reminds me of the question to W C Fields:
Q. How do you like children?
A. Parboiled.
Politco.com has hillary at 39.08% vs Obama at 36.49%
Now Barnicle making fun of John! This is just typical of the treatment of old veterans!
Seems like a lot of trophy wives with the repugs
Just like the polls which decided that Obama was going to win NH by a landslide… (and eat shit Frank Luntz).
What Chris Mathews gave up his crush on Aqua Velva Man Fred. Run John Run I here the Tweety is a stalker!
But isn’t it odd when the guy can’t even get his name in the paper, even after placing second in Iowa on a shoestring, that this comment gets broadcasted and amplified and then vilified? Bit odd?
Ugh. I can’t *stand* Heidi Klum. I don’t even find her attractive, and she’s incredibly irritating.
I thought you would be offended if i said that.
McCain looks like he has a combover.
Clinton first on the NH ballot (in alpha).
Oooh! For a second I thought you were Punaise! BTW Seal’s baby is quite the dish.
Yes! I won!
And he didn’t protest very much when the push poll in SC in 2000 suggested his adopted daughter was a product of an illicit affair. So hungry for power that he was willing to let the slander of his wife and child slide, and later made sweet, creepy, kissy face with the beneficiary of that push poll. pathetic.
Glass houses, dude…
I mean it.
I love her.
Everything I say tonight is snark!
How do you LISTEN to matthews and not throw stuff at the TV?
Fuck you Tweety.
Get the shot ready for “cry” as he turns to sympathy.
Chris Matthews really does have this thing about Hillary and I get sick of it. I’ve been sick of him for the last 15 years anyway.
Is he still married to the same wife?
Same as my buddy sees on a blog.
On politico.
I am excited that this contest is not over. I’m kind of hoping Hillary pulls this off, even if it’s a slim lead, so that we can see and hear more from Obama on the defensive. The hope stuff is great but I want to hear more about policy and see him do more than victory speeches. And I hope Clinton takes the chance to impress us in a new way.
I’m bummed about Edwards. I feel like he’s really floundering in message and tone and it’s not doing him favors. If it’s going to be the 2 person race everyone has been saying it will be — let’s hear more from these 2 people, a LOT more, before declaring a winner.
And I have to say I’m intrigued by the Rep. results and will be watching them with just as much interest.
Leave egregious out of it.
NUTRIA.
I don’t disagree with that. But he should’ve known better. He really should have. There are a lot of things that I can think to criticize Hillary over, but her tough-factor is not one of them.
Londonderry is a conservative town … and that’s where you’re seeing the Clinton big wins …
Hancock, Peterborough on the other hand are 54% and 47% Obama
Edwards does not change anywhere it seems
He is watching CNN that has better graphics.
Funny watching Anderson fiddle with that hologram graphic that did not work on Iowa night – show the graphic fool.
Go Edwards!
Shocked. Shocked, I tell you.
This is why I’d never consider McCain. Oh, yeah, and Keating Five….
John is talking about issues and people who hurt and are in trouble. Why would he give much credence to a choke-up by Hil
Scarborough: It’s all Gloria Steinem’s fault!
Fred Thompson is still behind th Dem write-ins.
My head exploded. Scarborough just said, “Gloria Steinem is right”
That’s the end of history, folks.
Yeahhh….I was thinking the same thing – no matter what the odds I’m the winner.
Yah stand up for your kids ya jerk do not stand with the people who pick on your kids.
Well, physically I find her quite attractive. But letting the vestigial sexism peek out, I ain’t all that interested in listening to her.
Edwards just isn’t that good a campaigner. I’m not sure what it is that’s missing, but he couldn’t get traction last time, either – not even in the South IIRC.
How could he not. You’re one of the smartest guys I know.
Had to wiki that guy. He’s safe. Those whiskers are cute.
newish post…
Chrome off a bumper hitch ring a bell?
Pundits are so stupid. Finally this guy smartens up for the most part:
- recession IS coming
- war is still on
but I do not think a fear thing. However its not that they put in a fear argument. I do not think however that Clitons (bill and hillary) injected these doubts at the last moment.
Its just one small state primary. Oh and it has great data not that any pundit is smart enough to look all the data even over the course of one election cycle not to mention spewing stuff on election night (so they stick to brainless stuff and take no risk, or a pre-set sript (or are a hack)),
Ron Paul on cnn
ding ding ding
Yes, but the wife he is married to now is the woman he cheated on his first wife with. I can’t recall the exact number but I think he has somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 or 7 kids, combining the first and second families. The current wife is R. I. C. H.
They don’t call him ‘Tweety’ anymore over at C&L it’s ‘Chrissie’ for rather obvious reasons. So….
Maybe he’s not married…to a woman….
Any more.
I think you’ll see him come out of the closet this year. Be much healthier for the fat, stupid fuck.
Until they dig holes in drainage canals and levees and cause them to fail. They were a major problem in Louisiana for a while. The sherriff of Jefferson Parish used to send his deputies out on shooting expeditions to reduce the populations. I believe there was also a rabies issue.
Hard to be a ‘good’ campaigner when you are outspent 6 to 1 and the corporatist media ‘disappears’ you.
The only reason Obama is in this race is to stop Edwards. Without him in the race what does it look like?
You got it. When I was in NH this weekend, you could see the money pouring off the Clinton and Obama campaigns. The Edwards campaign office didn’t even have the little wire stands to put their lawn signs around. There literally were not any Edwards signs around, while I saw hundreds of HUGE 8 by 10 Clinton and Obama signs.
One thing the polls are showing is that he isn’t trusted and that might just be him or it could be the eternal label attached to a trial lawyer.
On many issues he tracks more closely with Hillary than with Obama. Obama appears to appeal more to Repubs and Independents than to traditional Dems.
So, considering the difference in Hillary’s and John’s numbers I’d say the biggest thing is name recognition and the trust factor. Edwards tends to overcome the trust issue with a lot of personal contact. But, in a national campaign that’s simply impossible to do.
Also, curiously (in my mind), Hillary is right up there with Edwards on leadership. That, despite the fact Edwards has led on everything during this campaign. I’d guess the issues debate didn’t hurt Hillary so much as it gave the public the feeling she was in there fighting, even though she failed she was trying to lead. Meanwhile, Edwards ‘leadership’ so far is considered good, but more words and less certain than Hillary’s real efforts. So, I guess you could say her ‘experience’ does pay off in a roundabout way.
To my mind one of the big disappointments, or maybe it just isn’t captured well by the polls, is that Edwards Progressivism and vision aren’t translating to anything positive. Without the ‘trust’ it doesn’t seem to matter. Of course, ‘trust’ is just a word and might again relate more to name/face recognition than anything else. Even Obama can’t quite compete with Clinton, though he’s not too far behind, on that score. Her decades in the public eye is money well spent.
Edwards would likely pick up a lot more of the vote to the right of Hillary — votes Obama is taking at the moment. They really are dividing up a vote, though it’s not exactly a Progressive vote. It’s just seen in the polls as more Republicans and Independents and a little less traditional Dems. Of course, I’m certain Obama thinks Edwards is just a pain in his neck and is taking votes from him.
I think of him as more to the left, but apparently the public thinks the opposite.
This produces a curious situation: if Hillary wins then there’s going to be a large contingent just to her right, but willing to vote Dem and no candidate they’ll really want to vote for. They would be more likely to go for a Bloomberg or a Giuliani I’d guess.
If Obama were to get the nomination, then there would be a fairly large contingent to his left which would be a little hesitant to go with him. They might, but there’s no guarantee and a lot of us have been really pissed at being blackmailed into always having to vote for a conservative Dem instead of getting someone more representative of our own views. Personally, I’d prefer Hillary over Obama, despite her corporate problems and her triangulation. I see that as less offensive as what might be lurking around Obama.
If Edwards can still somehow manage to maneuver Hillary out, then there’s no guarantee those people would switch to him. In fact, it might backfire and shift them to Biden or out of the game altogether.
Edwards needs the votes Obama has tied up. Simple as that. Hillary needs a few more votes to lock it up and I see no natural way for her to get them. It’s a deadlock as far as the eye can see (unless there’s some scandal or dramatic development).
