vote early, vote often
Mama’s for Obama.
Oh, yeah…and Edwards is still at exactly 17%..no matter how many people vote. Can someone explain that to me?
John McCain. Bring it on!
And the Democratice votes look like double of that for the Repugs.
this is bukk=kakkky
the big losers tonight at the pundit “class”…
HAHAHAHAHA!
seriously laughing my ass off….
bull kakkky
HRC? Noooooooooooooooooooo…..please, let that be just “early” returns. Wish Edwards was getting a bit more mo’.
The western part of the state which was Dean country last time is not reporting yet … Keene only has results for half its districts and it’s 41% Obama to 30% Clinton and 16% Edwards
Looking at the polls Edwards seems in many places to be 15 – 20, however the different towns are usually 40 – 30/20 with Clinton and Obama flipping who wins the different towns.
His percentage is rounded up to 17%. he’s been floating between 16.7 and 16.85% all night.
edwards!!!!
LS – I don’t think I’ve seen Clinton or Obama change more than 1% the entire time… it just seems to be the way the numbers are falling…
also no results yet from major college towns
would it be fair to assume that the smallest precincts have reported first?
anybody know who’s reported, and who is still outstanding? What are the demographics? – Bueller?
Still pulling for anyone but HRC to take this one, which I guess means I’m pinning my hopes on Obama tonight.
Damn with these pundits I am changing my drinking keyword to “ummm”.
http://www.politico.com/nhprim…..popup.html
From LS great site.
No urban reporting.
Some places ran out of Dem ballots and had to copy and hand count.
Okay :)
The main thing for me is to kick the present NeoPukes and future Pukes outta here….forever….
Because he’s got about 17% of the vote in those precincts that have been counted. Actually you can see the changes on that MSNBC chart by clicking on the map.
We will see what happens on super Tuesday. We like Edwards.
And Matthews is now promoting Clinton/Obama.
This is a big win for the democratic party.
A big win to me if Edwards gets 20% and Clinton loses (2nd place I mean).
so far, it’s mostly small towns … CNN keeps saying Manchester has gone to Clinton but only half the precints there have reported as well … this is very early for NH so far.
ya know – Romney is still w/in about 2,500 votes….
“major college towns” is a fairly relative term for NH.
It seems that New Hampshirites, maybe the women anyway, didn’t respond to the Hillary bashing because she showed emotion. I think that women paid attention to the disparity between her showing emotion and the way the press disregarded Mitt Romney crying at least 3 times and it reminded them of the truth of women trying to crash the glass ceiling and the double standard.
Fascinating that both NBC and ABC have “called third place” for Edwards, something I’ve never heard of before. I guess that means they don’t have to talk about JRE any more tonight.
Non election news. Check out the National Security Archives web site. A DC Judge today ordered the White House to account for those five million missing emails.
tell me about it … 12 years in NH here …
but Durham, Dartmouth, etc no results yet
LS
If you pull samples from a barrel of 4% beer- every sample will be 4%.
Foghorn Leghorn is at 1.5%.
As for MSNBC convo on VP taking appart the other party candidate… Edwards can get that done this time. Especially with a far stronger ticket and an actual message (even with a weak ass congress) – 8 years of hell and all hopefully having passed.
hi mr teddy!
CHEERS!
By bye Mitt the Shit.
MA and NH will thank you for running out of town on a rail.
Good work making fun of MA when you were her Govener. Loser.
for folks who know NH towns, results by town are found here
refreshes every five minutes
My own totals of the Politico vote counts:
Dem voters: 50,544
Rep voters: 29,162
Does Dartmouth count?
Marcy’s got a great post and fascinating comments next door.
Mitt: “Two silvers (Iowa and New Hampshire) and a gold (Wyoming) — now on to Michigan (his home state).
hiya Miss SK
No MSNBC in this shitty hotel. Damn. CNN and Faux only. I want my Olbermann!
marcy has more upstairs, see emptywheel
And to discuss it further, try Emptywheel’s cove here at The Lake:
It’s More than Just WHETHER the E-Mails Are On the Back-Ups
“People” = The Punditocracy
hey – there’s Judd Gregg. He’s got a house that I have to walk past to get to the beach from my parents’ place in Sarasota.
I have found that dumping the day’s cigarette butts over his fence at the end of a day at the beach is immensely satisfying…
Portsmouth went for Obama, Manchester only half results in going for CLinton, Keene almost all counted, Obama, Nashua no results at all
Washington is broken. So is Mitt, apparently.
Didn’t congress ask for this 4 months ago? WTF.
We heard Republicans say everything and anything…but they haven’t.
Mitt is the candidate of change – now on the the state where his daddy was Govener for 3 terms and watching the autos die a painful death. Good work insider.
Olberman is having a bad week anyway. CNN can be tough to watch though. Check out the radio you might be able to do some multi-media.
Romney’s wife looks as if she’s about ta puke
I had about 3 years total between two different times but my sister has lived up there for over thirty-five years.
Probably the closest thing to it.
Is the Mitter leading in Michigan?
Mitt’s giving quite (yawn) a speech…
Looks like “The Crying Game” might have worked.
Digby highlights the real news:
link
I loved it for about 3 years … I am definitely meant for urban life though
23% reporting:
Clinton , Hillary Dem 24,661 40%
Obama , Barack Dem 20,973 34%
Edwards , John Dem 10,325 17%
Richardson , Bill Dem 2,698 4%
Kucinich , Dennis Dem 1,783 3%
If Clinton wins, does anyone remember so many polls being so far off? I can understand one or two, but every single poll I saw for the last two days Obama up from 7% to 14%.
I hope Black Box Voting has people there.
Yes, the tears are washing away hope.
Hanover, NH… I lived nearby in Enfield…
She sure does. A natural blonde. Romney concedes.
We in this home have been been voting the straight Demo ticket since 1968. And we have to say that Obama and HRC are the worst Democratic presidential candidates to have come down the pike in our political lifetime.
Given where the results are coming from, I think this is way too soon …
none of the “urban” areas are reporting and those that are (Portsmouth, Keene) are blowouts for Obama … hard to read what will happen.
GOP is pushing McCain as their ‘Most Electable’ . Why can’t Democrats do the same and push harder for Edwards?
Whoops.
Mitt says the crappy economy is Hillary’s fault. Or Obama’s. Either one will do.
Im listening here
http://bravenewfilms.org/election
Wow, surprised really to see the Hillary surge.
Only surprised because all I have been hearing from the pundits is that these are the “last throes” of her campaign.
Worse than Dukakis, come on.
Maybe Ohio was a freak.
It’s the fault of the Clenis. Everybody know that… Everything is.
Her phony crying gig brought her the sympathy vote she was after.
Worse than Dukakis?
Wow, that Ann Lewis is quite the Clinton cheerleader!
Hell, even if Hillary wins, there might be a silver lining. Mrs. Greenspan’s head could possibly explode on live national teevee…
Dukakis???
Rochester went for Hillary but most of the other cities havent come in.
Manchester showing 50% and Hillary ahead
Jane: “Good to know.”
Glad you’re finally out of the closet. :o)
Raven, yup
Mark Blumenthal, aka The Mystery Pollster, is a good site for all things polling — summaries and links to specific polls, as well as critiques and questions. It’s long on math and professional number crunchers, but also long on explaining the math, too.
As you might guess, this is kind of like Christmas over there — lots of links to play in.
Poor Andrea Mitchell. She worked so hard to undermine Hillary’s campaign. All for naught.
for the men in the room here, I do not think Hillary was “putting on the tears”…
JMHO…
I have to write three paragraphs on tonight’s primary for my history class. Do you think I need to wait until all the votes are in?
Ohio counted bodies, NH is counting bits on solid-state storage devices recorded by touchscreen voting machines running unverified software. If the result is extremely unexpected, well, you do the math.
What you said.
If that was phony, she has a Hollywood career far more lucrative than President.
I agree.
So, ALL women feel the way you do?
Gravinich surges over 3%!!!
Rally hat never fails…
I absolutely think her crying was real. In fact, she didn’t cry, she merely teared up. Mitt Romney cried, John Boehner cried, George Senior cried.
I think it reminded people of the double standard still held. And maybe women decided to go ahead and vote for Hillary because that made them mad.
I want numbers on total votes cast for Democrats and Republicans if New Hampshire follows Iowa where our top three people had more votes than the Huckabee the GOP leader had well we are so in the cheese!
So then the Independent,Youth Dems and Repubs all prefer Hillary to Obama??
Bullshit. How many blow jobs did bill have endure -or give -for all that?
Neither do I.
Cassie – wait, it’s too soon for sure.
The areas that are likely for Obama are not reporting yet …
CNN is doing the best job of explaining that – in between idiotic comments.
Fucking Huckabee is a good speaker. Damn
Hey, Dunkin’s off the radar. Whatup?
I think I would, just to have it sound “finished.” You can write about the process/candidates/coverage now, but tie it up with the bow of the final results. At least, that’s what I would have done back before they invented dirt!!
I agree.
Her hubby was a master at crankin up the tears but not her huh?
It was a concern to me when they started to run out of ballots as there is always it seems fraud in NH (Republican fraud). I do not think the Dems in NH would go in for fraud.
NH is well known for people crossing the asile only to muddy the waters of the other party. There is no doubt that some Undecided would come across the asile and vote for Clinton – but this number would very likely be small. Would be interesting to know. However they would at the same time be hesitant to risk is since if Clinton wins and they voted for her they would never forget it.
She also has a good ground game and supporters with time to do their thing (Obama has the young kids and they seem to have a good ground game as well).
Dukakis was swiftboated by Willie Horton. We voted for Dukakis. At least he was not a triangulator in our view. Perhaps I should have said least principled Democratic candidates (campaign financing, etc.), (Hillary and Obama).
Heh, Huckster is addressing his theocons… ;-)
see, i am here and watching tv because i HAVE to for school! how cool is that?!?!
I wouldn’t expect so, but from the comments I’ve heard today, I would say it has overwhelming how many men have accused Senator Clinton of “faking it”…
I just find that very interesting… and incorrect.
Hold on – Her tearing up is making votes for her ,or the pundit’s reactions to her tearing is making votes for her?
26% reporting:
Clinton , Hillary Dem 25,859 40%
Obama , Barack Dem 22,476 34%
Edwards , John Dem 10,892 17%
Richardson , Bill Dem 2,918 4%
Kucinich , Dennis Dem 1,826 3%
Not true, several urban areas in the Southeast have reported and these have pretty much split, with the edge for Clinton (Portsmouth the exception). The rural areas have, surprisingly, tended toward Obama.
Sadly even there Edwards isn’t making much of an impression.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I…..on_map.png
Huckabee lost the blonde behind him- that’s what losin does fer ya.
A donut hole?
Is that Huck’s wife in green behind him?
I saw her this morning during a Huck interview, and she was chewing the entire time…
It wasn’t exactly Willie who did it but I know what you mean.
No, she had to act more like a man than a man. I think in private life it’s been reported that she is much emotional than she can afford to allow herself in private.
It’s just what I think.
new thread…
Dunkin’s a hole alrighty.
Maybe.
MSNBC is also reporting that nearly half of the Democrats voting in New Hampshire are independents (43%) and that 38% of the Republicans are independent.
-
Most people that follow things are undecided so they can do what they want when it comes election time. People not supporting McCain, Ron Paul, or to some degree Huckabee I doubt were super motivated to vote in the Republican primary (and Mitt has some level of support as well so I guess he should have been on that list, but many fiscal conservatives would not be thrilled with Mitt).
Huckster’s wife, not Chucky’s hottie wife. He’s lost my vote.
that’s fine, but I think you are mistaken.
There is no relationship between being a man and crying.
I would much rather have Dukakis for president that HRC or Obama. Of course the argument could perhaps be presented that Dukakis didn’t play dirty enough to be president. I suppose.
With a little help from the suckers who sad it showed she was weak. Oh and those that said she was “crying”, when it was only her voice breaking.
This is disgusting.
“Urban” areas of NH:
Nashua – 0 results as of now
Manchester – 9/12 precincts reporting, 45%Clinton, 31% Obama
Concord – 6/10 precints, 38% Obama, 36% Clinton
Portsmouth – 5/5, 42% Obama, 35% Clinton
Hanover – 0 results
Keene – 5/6, 41% Obama, 30% Clinton
YeeOUCH!
I sat out ‘88 because of Dukakis!
FunnyD
in EPU-land…
Paragraph one on the history and importance of the race for the candidates. Para two on the turnout differences – Dems vs. Repugs (there is a big story there, BTW). Last paragraph on the results. Start on the Repugs and hold off on the Democrats. You may have to plug in some late participation numbers and results early AM tomorrow. But you’ll get the body written and it will be unlikely to change too much for all but the two top Democrats.
The way I look at the numbers you just provided it seems that SOME of the urban areas HAVE reported results. Not NONE. And some went for Clinton, others went for Barack.
Nah. Lots of things to write about that don’t involved the results.
As an Edwards supporter, I don’t think she faked her emotion, but some people faked intelligence when they called Edwards a sexist for his utterly non-sexist comments.
And they’re also faking intelligence by trying to shove a candidate down our throats whom is, demonstrably, nothing but a republican lite.
One more time, if she were a man named “Smith”, her support for making flag-burning a crime, by itself, would have had her supporters scrambling to find an opponent to give money to.
For us, she’s a political trainwreck, waiting to happen.
How does that differ from what they normally do?
Much….
They say it doesn’t matter who votes, it only matters who counts the votes. And in New Hampshire, one vendor counts 81% of the votes.
Black Box Voting has the sausage factory report.
Re:
Raven, are you cynical enough to suggest that Hillary staged her mist-ification? Me, too.
I understand that this is common in Hollywood, too.
Re:
I’m hoping you can clarify something for me. It’s my understanding that Independents can vote in either party’s race, but that a registered Republican cannot vote in the Democratic race and vice versa. Is this correct?
good golly is that frank luntz a caution. hillary to do better than expected, he thinks, as he and the rest of us look at the tally. frank is a regular clairvoyant! there is no doubt.
Ah say, ah SAY son. Put my beer DOWN boy n leave me alone! Ah sweah that boy ain’t right in the head. *G*
Go Johnny E, n let’s wait and see what Super Tuesday n THE GREAT STATE OF CA has to say about this primary bushit!!!!
The PAC’s will TRY and buy the best Shil Or Bama thay can, we know that. Hell, what am I saying, they already HAVE bought Shil and Obama.
Ms. Hamsher, care to comment, refute, deny? Maybe come to a true progressive enlightenment and stop pretending the beltway elite really WANT you Hollywood types to join their tea party?
Along the way thru this primary season though, the american people just MIGHT be pissed off enough to rally to the REAL change agent among the three, and not fall for the tears of the clown or the speeches of the siren’s.
Go Johnny Go!
*G*
Perhaps, if you’ve never had or given one. But this thread is SO not about blowjobs, so, please, don’t drag it down any lower than Shilary already is doing. Thanks. It’s not obscene unless you make it so. So don’t be making it, ok?
Hey Ed: given the GOP results, it doesn’t look good for Iran!
That’s only 65% for Dems, right?
So, since when has Shrub and his party been up to 35%?
Ya know, even if we’re ahead they could be cheating to keep our win smaller than it should be.
