I hear you.

I think more people ought to go into these elections like they are buying a car instead of like they are going to Church. These candidates ought to be seen as car salesmen, not preachers. I think the voters and Americans are better to see them in this light. I want details, figures and timelines, not messages of hope, fairytales, and optimism.

Yes, Barack, we want change. But please don’t short-change us progressives.

I’m afraid the curmudgeon in me already sees that Barack Obama will most certainly shortchange those of us who want “the progressive agenda”.

Universal health care? Off the table.

Instant withdrawal from Iraq? Off the table.

Hands off on Iran and Pakistan? All options are on the table.

Relief for bankrupts? That chicken has flown the coop.

Nope, Obama he be berry good for da corpawations, da. For da peepul? Not so much.

Well it’s like a recipe. Mix and match the best and most inspiring ideas to expand your message.

The thing is, those candidates better mean it. Obama won big with the whole ‘change’ slogan. You know, the slogan that MSM has been pruning for months, and putting in the minds of millions. Hillary ‘Experience’ versus Barack ‘Change’. Yeah yeah yeah, I got it…

..So change won. SSuddenly, -everyone- was in the piggy bank. Even Romney and McCain incorporated ‘change’ into their slogans or speeches. Despite the fact that they want more of the same..whatever..

..So the trick is to make sure that Clinton, Romney, and whoever else uses that ‘change’ slogan isn’t trying to short-change the voters.

That’s how I see it. And that goes for Obama as well. Yes, Barack, we want change. But please don’t short-change us progressives.

Time to bring out the tar bucket and chicken feathers for Dr. Luntz?
