This has been botherin’ me. how come after edwards is outspent a gazillion to one, the line was “Edwards must win Iowa.” I thought he finished a credible 2nd. Nope, I’m told. He lost. It’s a 2 person race. Tonight, the first time I saw the msnbc ticker with poll numbers @ the bottom of the scree it only had BO & HRC for the dems but had Willard, McKing and Huck for the Repugs. Huck got in and he’s pollin’ 13%. Edwards got left out and he’s pollin 19-20. Go figger. (They included Edwards later on.) But I just don’t get the “Edwards had to win Iowa” line and the extension of that – that he lost by finishing second and therefore can be ignored. what’s the explanation?

In sonoma county most of the Ron Paul signs are “homemade” and they use that sort “critical mass” model for campaign management

Paul says the guy who raised all the money online is a volunteer and he has never met him. So I think it’s kind of laisse faire rather then corrupt after all he does not believe in government regulation so this may just be their form of civil disobedience.

It would be interesting to see their filings.

So, who’s good at sussing out motivations? As, why would Lieberman want to be Lieberman? What’s he getting out of it at this point? The thing that jumps out at me is that he has become the one person who is spoken about as favored by powerful persons in both parties (here, both Reid and McCain, e.g.). Thus, no matter what party wins what, he has at least a shot at being close to power.

Now, that is a pretty unusual maneuver to have pulled off. I am not sure you can do that without trying. Which brings up the question above: why?

And is it something that you would have come up with on your own? Or would it have been suggested to you by an interest group?

Tallahassee- Faux News -The Florida Department of Motor Vehicles has announce that in conjunction with the Florida Department of Education, it will introduce the state’s 1,937th specialty license plate. Beginning March 1st (or sooner if we stop killin’ convicts), for the reasonable sum of $25, Floridians can now purchase license plates which repalce the familiar words “The Sunshine State” with “Don’t Tase Me Bro’” The Dpartment of State announced that “the StateFlorida is confident that it now offers license plates for everyone – except people who are pro-choice who have to buy the “Choose Life” plates and just put a piece of tape over the word “life” and watch their money go to Jesus Freak yahoos.” All monies raised from the “Don’t Tase Me Bro’” plates will be devoted to implenting the State’s 20th century curriculum which will feature evolution as a scientific fact. I found out yesterday that Timmy’s nickname at school was “Moon Shine Tim” or just plain old “Moonie”. The local news in Sacramento have said that the planned meeting wasn’t going to announce his plans for not running. That it simply was a staff meeting. So I’d wait off on this.

Actually, I’d prefer that he run. But I think Charlie Brown has a good shot despite the possibility that Doolittle won’t. The district is traditionally pretty Republican, but people are tired of the Doolittle “machine” and there is increasing effects from the subprime situation.

This money is being distributed to non-profit organizations that provide adoption services but also distribute biased, anti-abortion information. Although Florida counties are responsible for distributing the funds to organizations, some have delegated this task to religious organizations such as Catholic Charities, a Roman Catholic organization.
