Don’t want to jinx it or anything, but I couldn’t resist posting this video of the Pride of West Virginia Mountaineer Marching Band playing one of my favorites from their repertoire: Simple Gifts, interpreted from the version in Copland’s Appalachian Spring.
Go ‘Eers!
FINAL: 48 to 28
_______________
Earlier today, reader eCAHNomics got in an excellent zinger:
So Jonathan Alter on KO complains that only a couple of thousand votes in Iowa could determine who the next prez is. To which I retort: that’s better than just one vote on SCOTUS.
KA POW! Good one…
So, what’s up with everyone this evening?

A Sports thread at FDL?
Snoopy Dance goin’ on?
Sports? (laughing)
g’evening Christy
Jane’s at a campaign event. Shhhhhhh…don’t tell her… *g*
Mrs. Peterr’s two favorite football teams are (1) Nebraska, and (2) whoever is playing Oklahoma.
Go ‘Eers!
Hi Christy. Evening pups.
Hi Suzanne. Couldn’t help myself. *g*
When the cat’s away, the mice will play… ;-) Plus, it’s your Mountaineers…
I am in for sooo much ribbing now, I can just hear CT and crew rubbing their hands together gleefully.
Which team is Jane campaigning for — Oklahoma or WV?
We’ve had a rough month since the Rodriguez abdication. It was either post the above YouTube or just put up a little graphic of a Snoopy dance. *G* But I’m trying not to celebrate too early…you never know in football, and OU has a good team this year.
If WV holds out they will be the only team with an interim coach to win their bowl game. Given the crappy way their former coach decamped I think it is highly deserved. And no SEC teams lose so it’s all good to me.
I think it means you get to take the night off. Since Christy brought it up, you can probably let her moderate the thread.
Watching the game, thinking about how badly I want to see Edwards as our next President, trying to help BeerfartLiberal stay warm, shouting at “Unity” dipshits. Hi, all!
I picked them yesterday!!! Right here at this blog!!! You guys saw it!! Yesterday morning!!! You saw it. Back me up here somebody.
And, originally, this was just going to be eCAHN’s zinger. It cracked me up.
Heh, ya must have missed Redd’s earlier thread, she was letting us know all about the game… 8-)
I saw it BFL!
Make it good, Tuttle. Gotta last you a whole year. :-)
The hardest part of this is that we started our “be healthier” diet and exercise program today. So I am watching this game without snacks because I’ve already eaten my meals and snacks today, and I’m drinking water.
Why, yes, I am laughing at myself. Why do you ask?
And props to eCAHN for the great zinger!
Oh hell…
Wait, wait, wait. No SEC teams lose? Whaddya mean tonight? Yeah, that’s right? Or are you including yesterday’s too? They could not remove that sod from Tebow’s head, so they’re just leaving it there and saying he’s going through a wild spell and dyed his hair green.
Congrats to the ‘neers.
I always enjoy seeing a good beatdown of the dirt burglars !
Heh, Baseball season is mere months away… My agreement with RBG was until the start of the season… ;-)
New year’s resolutions? Those don’t get enforced til Ash Wednesday, do they?
(it’s hard rememberin’ all that stuff the nuns were trying to teach me…)
Muzzy — Not over yet, OU just scored.
This shoulda been Rutgers, though. Oh well, at least their coach didn’t abandon them.
Yep! Can never start too soon! The Gatorade bath might have to wait a bit…
Did you miss “Take Hawaii and the points”? Or just not rubbin’ my face in it.
Tonight sweetie. Yes, Florida and Arkansas lost. The SEC sent 9 teams of 12 in the conference to bowl games. The record stands at 6-2, with one left to play. More teams than any other conference. Until a playoff is implemented (when, dammit!?) rankings are sort of arbitrary, but they’re all we’ve got.
Do not enumerate your feathered progeny until the process of incubation has been completed.
Christy, my Dad is an OU grad, and has called me twice tonight while watching the game. Each time crunching wildly on something. He said that he is so nervous he has to do something. So he will snack for you.
Crud.
Those freakin land thieves.
I was gonna let that slide, but now that you bring it up…
Ya know, one prediction I made was the Gator Bowl-Texas Tech and Virginia. And my prediction was something like “Who gives a shit?” and that turned out to be a great game. That and the Crapital One Bowl here in frigid Orlando. Throw in a great outdoor hockey game and it was a great sports day yesterday.
Crack the bubbly, Christy!
Whoa, another long Gallop!!!
Devine !!!!!!
wOOt
buh-bye!! 65 yards!
OK, start counting.
Boo yah! We scored AGAIN.
If I recall correctly, I said something here yesterday or the day before about Hawaii getting pounded into poi.
OU fans seem to be as dejected as I was yesterday…
wow – that little guy’s fast!
8-P!!!!!!
what a game! How about them ‘eers!
So, other than helping me cheer on my team, what’s everyone up to this evening? I’m never up for late nite, so what do you guys usually do this time of the evening other than heckle Suzanne?
WV needs to try the Statue of Liberty next. OK totally bites on the Statue of Liberty.
Cake is served.
Christy, this one has no calories at all.
I’m one of te few people, i think, that believes the current system is OK. i like the arguing and all of that. and basketball has a tourney champ but it’s not always the best team. like when Michigan beat Seton Hall….. Don’t even get me thinkng about it………………
now if we could just see the three WV players, Devine, Dingle, and Berry, sitting side-by-side on the bench…
Who slipped an 8th grade JV player on the field? He’s so teensy compared to everyone else! But damn he’s fast!
He is fast, and you ought to see him break tackles and his spin and zag moves. He’s a true freshman, too…
Hi Christy!
I’m used to writing that in the morning. Sorry about the forwarded e-mail, of course you get it all already. But I sent you another one about something else that I need to prepare for this weekend and could use a bit of your wisdom off line.
And I’m usually not up this late either.
An air of doom.
Freddie Thompson’s polical deathwatch has begun.
Where can we send the flowers?
-G
We’d do no such, she wouldn’t allow it… otherwise we’d be hollering “Don’t Tase me, Bro!” *g*
I’m with you, BFL. I don’t see why it is important that there be a completely unambiguous champion with no plausible arguments that it should/could have been someone else.
that’s what i was going to tell christy. that we have snacks. share music. but, i’m aghast, even the snack is football tonight.
anything for those of us that don’t eat footballs?
That you did. i was blinded by hatred of the SEC. The one SEC team i pick? By a rout, no less? The Florida Gators. Glad to be wrong about that Buncha arrogant pricks.
CT tries to get me to handcuff him; BFL tells me to take off my uniform, tex brings zero calorie snacks.
the usual late nite stuff
I call BS. Every single NCAA sport has a championship tourney except Division 1 football. The PAC 10/Rose Bowl people are holding the whole thing hostage. Screw em, a tourney can work, 16 teams, use the bowls as regionals or finals with rotating assignments. Their sorry argument about missing too much class time is bogus.
Heckle Suzanne. Ask for recounts of the protest song contest.
Hey Deb — I got it, right at The Peanut’s bedtime. You going to be around at all tomorrow? If so, let me know and we’ll try and coordinate some time. (If, that is, school isn’t called off yet again tomorrow, which makes calls for me a little tricky since someone else likes to chat on the phone. *g*)
On the other hand, I also made the unsupported claim that the SEC is overrated.
Thanks for the Katrina post earlier. Many thanks.
Oh and this was epu’d. Of course.
http://firedoglake.com/2008/01…..nt-1177986
Not to give any spoilers for the West Coast, but Letterman’s entire show is about the writers’ strike so far. Snoopy dance! *g*
CTuttle —
You’ll just have to wipe your tears away with your beach towel, and then as long as you’ve got it handy, you might as well head to the beach.
Those other folks . . . I don’t think their beaches will be ready for quite some time.
i’ve been watching a lot of youtubes today, looking for ones that might appeal to my almost 8 and 12 year old nephews. last week i made them a website (the header is a collage of pics i took of them having fun on various adventures). there’s a blog and i post fun stuff and they comment on it. this weekend i’m going to show them how to take pics with their new cameras (from auntie for christmas) and post them on the website… if that goes ok, we’ll do video next.
… and christy, i thought of you concern for your peanut and i password protected the site.
anyway, it’s been a fun distraction from the primary silly season. but sadly also a distraction from the things i should be working on… *g*
Hang a half a hunerd on ‘em !
Christy – Yep. Noel Devine was a very highly coveted recruit on a national scale and chose WVU. I don’t follow recruiting and even knew of him. Great for the ‘neers.
thank you redshift for letting us know without a spoiler
heh. Just goes to show that one should never trust a political spokesperson. Karen Henretty (sp?) was on something just this afternoon talking about how everything was just peachy.
My uncle, Russell Crane, was line coach for the Mountaineers from the early 50s to 1964. He’d be proud of this team!
cupcakes for the non-football fans
That’s what the Florida secondary was saying to Henne yesterday. and.. ZAP!I guess it’s a big saying on that campus.
that would be me. thanks, tex
For some strange reason… *g*
aw shucks, that’s downright sweet of you!
Suzanne, click before you thank!
Recording it. I figure it’ll beat the heck out of watching The Scar tomorrow morning…
geez, stale left over ones from halloween. *setting ‘the look’ to stun*
Dammit — what a stupid ass foul.
That is very true. The real reason is that a playoff system would dramatically reduce the economic value of the BCS bowl games (not just the Rose Bowl).
In combination with the conferences that make a huge amount of money off the BCS bowls, the BCS and its constituent bowl entities represent a massive economic coalition that is vehemently against an NCAA playoff. There is no way that these entrenched economic interests will ever give up their monopoly power over the NCAA football post-season to the NCAA, or anyone else.
They will make up all kinds of bullshit reasons why there can’t be a playoff system, but none of that matters. There simply will never be one. Period.
That referee sounds like he’s been gargling glass after breakfast!
I’m in and out. One of my parishioners’ mother died on Mon. and then she got into an accident and totaled her car on the way to the family meeting with the minister in Allentown . . . gotta spend some time with her tomorrow and 2 other meetings. Any time from about 4:30 onward might work for me, don’t know if it’s good for you. Big day tomorrow somewhere in the mid-west, I hear.
Good day, my own personal wrap up.
We got a prosecutor for at least one administrative alleged crime. Haven’t read the previous threads, so I am still hopeful. Probably fooishly so.
Meanwhile, Law and Order , the TV kind comes back without Fred Thompson, allowing Sam Waterstone to finally get a promotion to DA. The airwaves without Thompson, where art leads, may life follow.
As for football in BlueBayState, it’s a bye week for our football players, and a good thing, because it’s windchill -10 tmr. It might as well be Iowa.
Romney is actually running ads in the BlueState, they are as anodine as a Hallmark card. He’s promising a better future. period. Can’t imagine we who know his past would believes anything he promises for the future.
I guess the good thing about being a BlueState is that we get no Huckabee ads.
And on that high note, good nite all.
They are NOT from Halloween! Those are a for basketball season.
THIS is from Halloween.
Geez Louise!
But look at the cash cow that is March Madness. Why not do the same for college football? It can be done, it would be a moneymaker.
That is quite the concentration of misery.
and me, but I have to stop eating the good stuff—5 pounds to take off from the long long holiday overeating season.
sorry, did not realize they were basketballs. thought they were spiders
well, here i was thanking you. wondering what kind of design that was on those cupcakes. now i’m even embarassed. i’m so not football oriented that i didn’t recognize them things as football cupcakes :(
The payoff for Hawai’i with that (non)appearance, amounts to two and a half years of financing that typically funds our program, and the WAC is also grateful for their appearance…
They keep calling fouls like this, I’m never going to get sleep. Jeebus…
That wasn’t unsupported. i agree with that. Oh wait. Guess nobody’s citing me as authority. Beerfart, On College Football
lol! too bad there’s no edit, i could have made believe i knew they were basketballs.
Heh, even the announcers are bitching…
gut wrenching, ain’t it :0)
speaking of sleep, it’s way past time for it.
don’t remember who started this, but since I can’t dive like Cassie,
*poof*
I’m sure it would make money. The question is who it would make money for, and how that money would be allocated.
The BCS bowls and conferences currently have a monopoly on the football postseason that is completely independent of the NCAA. They have absolutely no incentive to give up that monopoly–and the consequent essentially guaranteed massive annual revenues–in favor of something completely untested, and potentially out of their control.
20 points, 5:10, 4th & long… Looks like the ‘eers have it.
g’nite revdeb (i believe it was al the spook who started the poofing)
Yeah, the WAC gets no respect. We have a number of BYU fans in our extended family, and I hear that year in and year out…
mfi
Even if there was one we’d still have virtually the same arguments. Yesterday had 2 great games. It ain’t broke; don’t fuck with it, I say.
MFI, i think
It’s amazing what Hawaii did this year, given their minimal recruiting budget and low recruiting profile. There was simply nothing they could go against a team with so much physical advantage at every single speed/strength position.
Sweetheart, any time. I try to work them in when I have the time to do the subject justice. Hugs to you and everyone else in the same leaky boat.
(i believe it was al the spook who started the poofing)
Wasn’t it markfromireland?
Fred “Tommy” Thompson fizzled out, eh?
Another massive failure from Dame Mary Matalin.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..re=related
No doubt we’ll be seeing the Matalin Magic more and more now all over the Conglomerate Media as a political expert. Think we’ll ever see pundits on TV that are actually correct most of the time, and have proven to attract large audiences quickly? I know where they can find a few around here that fit that bill nicely.
Night, all.
I think Mark from Ireland mastered the hit and run post ending in the puff of smoke.
-G
could be, i was thinking al but it certainly could be mfi.
BYU defected to the Mountain West, two years back, I was disappointed because it was the rivalry of the WAC before Boise State entered the WAC…
Christy, we gotta amke more noise about the B’east. maybe next year. ‘cept for WVa tonight, their teams haven’t done so hot in the bowls. Don’t forget to catch Rutgers in the International bowl on January… somethin. 7th?
g’nite physio
Yeah, yeah, I know. It still bites. Did you see the SI issue a couple weeks ago, had a D-2 team, I think, on the cover. Winning the championship in a playoff. Inside the article pointed out that there were no scandals, no suspensions, no malfeasance by coaches or players. Just a good, clean tournament to decide the winner of the title. Simple.
It wouldn’t surprise me to find that some of the major sponsors and media drivers of the current college football bowl system are the same people with a cash deathgrip on the status quo inside the beltway. It’s not a matter of how much more money could be made, it’s who stands to gain or lose control of it, fans and citizens be damned.
Aloha, Prof!
Fred “Tommy” Thompson fizzled out, eh?
Another massive failure from Dame Mary Matalin.
oooh, i didn’t realize that. So
today wasn’t a total loss after all– Thursday’s off to a very good start. Some of those assholes out in Metairie should take some of these folks in.
Sorry. Wasn’t trying to bring you down. Just thanking Redd and Jane for the post. I happened upon that yesterday and was shocked. This is my town. I haven’t happend upon that area, but it looks rather bleak in the photos.
It is even worse when you take into account the fact that as I understand it the area under the overpass used to be a traditional gathering place on holidays and weekends for the African American community. At least before the interstate was built. This is what I understand from friends in town.
So now the former park like area has been paved to make way for a freeway, which has basically been taken over by the homeless population in the wake of the country’s largest man-made disaster.
My sister lived in Indonesia until recently, not a wealthy country. Their reaction after Katrina was “Your government lets you live like that?”.
Oh, that’s right! I remember that was a big deal when it happened. Totally blanked on that…see why I don’t stay up late? *g*
Why don’t more kids wanna go to Hawaii? i mean, just to go? I hear it’s a nice place. I guess it’s a big drawback that it’s not a BCS school.
Bonk,
I was able to last about 30 seconds watching Cruella DeCarville.
-G
Yeah that’s gonna happen. You know Metry looks down it’s nose at Orleans every chance it gets.
No, that’s not what I meant. It was just a very evocative photo, and I found it touching
They don’t make Republican candidates like Al Haig anymore.
Republican cake anyone?
No, no sports here.
I know. I just couldn’t help using the words asshole and Metairie in the same sentence. I should be ashamed. Or not.
guess that one’s for me – i think i’m the only one here who qualifies tex
Damn. I am gonna miss Owen Schmitt next year — kid is a class act, all the way. *sniffle*
Whoa, the big man is sobbing, with a bloody mouth! Congrats, Christy!
Yep, it’s the TV exposure. That, and Oahu’s really a long ways from anywhere else.
Holdin’ steady at 35 degrees in The City Beautiful. Brrrrrrr.
Not.
That ginormous WV player with a mowhawk is crying on national TV. So cool. But the alarm is set for 5 am, back to school tomorrow. Why they are going to school thursday and friday this week is beyond me, but there it is. Thanks for the football thread, CHS, it was fun! Good night all.
Ha that would be a laugh. Maybe we can send some of them to Al Copeland’s Playboy Mansion of the south. Now that he is newly single again, he is renovating his family home to be cheezier and raunchier than the infamous Playboy mansion.
Maybe we can send them to David and Wendy Vitter’s house. He can consider it pennance for his “serious sin”. Isn’t he part of that compassionate conservatism thing?
Madmom sleep well. We go back next week.
Yeah. Me too. I had to share it.
Frig, we get no respect since half our games are played long after the east coast voters are long since abed… Grrr…
good game. I’m out.
So what time will the results from Iowa start rolling in tomorrow night?
Understand completely. I had to keep a bucket handy and put on the gas mask to make it through.
Thankfully for you, it sounds like you missed the bit at the end where she sez something like, “Republicans are united in that we all want to defeat Liberals and everything they stand for.”
So much for all the “United We Stand” bumper stickers after 9/11.
WooHoo! Go Mountaineers!
Firedog ET has a little post and poll over at dkos this evening.. Far be it from to to suggest anyone go over and poke fun at the fellow..)
Oh. Cool Artwork Mary McCurnin.
KO said he was expecting the first results to be rolling in when he comes on, and said he and tweety will be covering it live til Midnite East coast time…
I gotta get my sorry, bundled-up ass to bed. if I don’t make an appearance tomorrow, send a rescue team to O-Town. The Governor has declared a state of emergency or state of something. state of confusion. serious stuff. an
Thanks!
Well, after that helluva game, I’m not sure we’ll be able to top this one. Damn, that was a good game. Thanks everyone for indulging me while I watched…
Who’d I pick in LSU-OSU ?
Aloha, Sleepy Pups!
thanks. Maybe I’ll sneak in a strategic nap around 5:00.
Night all.
Christy,
Janenyc here (yes, Suzanne and I have been trying to figure out my log in probs under my original screen name).
Have been an ‘Eers fan since the 1972 Peach Bowl in Atlanta against NC State.(God, I’m old!) The WVU fans are some of the nicest people I ‘ve met as a sports fan. Loved watching the game tonight and the way those young men represent the school and the state.
I’m looking at this win (and it was a beat down) as a metaphor for 2008!
Go ‘Eers and Dems!!
It would help if Hawaii got big leads early, rather than coming back from behind so much.
“Big Ten = Loser Conference”. only excveption I made to that was Wisconsin over Tennessee.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Hwy. Rutgers obver Ball State innte International Bowl. Give the points.
okay, i see i am going to be going to bed without any cake tonight.
Oh well I am rooting for LSU of course even though they are rivals with my alma mater Tulane. LSU!!!
We need a clear BCS win, in New Orleans no less. Sweeeet!
Coming back from behind in the big games, that is. Hawaii was pretty good winning big against some of those teams.
Go Mountaineers 2008-2009!
I am thinking about applying for a job as a union organizer. There is a 3 to 6 month training period. I need to find a “real” job and figure it would be better than working at a call center for Verizon. The only thing that worries me about it are the long hours. I have a ton of energy about half the time.
GW, what kind of a cake would you like? I have a huge pantry back here.
Tulane!
Tulane!
Tulane!
Tulane!
Tulane!
Tulane!
My original husband went to Tulane. I meet him when I was a senior at Riverdale. A gazzillion years ago.
Sounds like a great idea!
(I’d settle for a medium amount of energy up to half the time.)
Was wondering where you had been! Hope all is well with you.
Yeah, we do have some awfully nice fans. Really, manners are a big thing here — we still let people into our lane in traffic, throws out-of-staters off entirely. We get a lot of teasing, but it’s usually from folks who have never spent any time here. When they say “almost heaven,” they really mean it.
And, with that, I should get to bed. Something tells me it’s going to be a little busy here tomorrow…night gang!
okay, i’m trying something here:
sleep well christy.
did you get a piece of no-cal football cake?
My future in laws went to riverdale I think. Isn’t that in Metry?
Only three games have they trailed at halftime, typically they had dominated from the first quarter…
Yes. In Metry but when I went there it was only a girls’ school. I graduated in 1967. I am fair to middling old.
My pop was a union organizer in Michigan many years ago. They fired him in retaliation and he won his job back in court. Told them to shove it anyway when it was all done. Good luck if you do it.
how about a lake?
We see that grin!
nite christy
Some other Frederick of Hollywood firepower that failed miserably:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/…..67611.html
Dick Cheney’s daughter, Howard Baker, Macaca Allen, and Mary Matalin all used their expertise to help sink Thompson’s campaign in a few short months. This latest failure in a long string of failures for all these people will surely end their political careers, right?
g’nite christy (and any other leaving pups i missed while helping token save the redwoods)
Aloha, Redd!
Oh. Maybe they didn’t both go there. Maybe just his mom. I remember riverdale. They are in their late 50’s. Never left Metry except to go to MS gulf coast. They don’t like traveling except by car.
Oh well they are the opposite of me but they are nice to me all the same.
try this
a tiny little lake cake just for GW
Talk about a rogues gallery.
-G
Yummmmm. Licky Lips.
Hah! We can only wish… It seems the more wrong you are, the further you progress…
very nice!
Now that’s a cake. At least – I think it’s a cake.
Meh. When one talks out of one’s posterior, you know what that means. ‘Night, all
Send the flowers over to Mary and James.
Oh well. I am turning into a pumpkin. Goodnight all you wonderful people.
Have you read Alinsky’s classic “Rules for Radicals”?
g’nite ploeg
Yea, the only Haig that applies to Repubes nowadaze is The Hague.
Al Hague.
g’nite msanna
Good to see you!
FABULOUS Book!
Hmmm… If you say so… Aloha, Ploeg!
Oh! I just love it. Alligators and a diving board and lots of lovely other animals sunning and swimming in the pool. Realleeee nice. Thank you.
No. But I will. Thanks.
It’s new years in Bushworld.
Look at all the good news!
Chimpocalypse Now.
-G
They don’t bite. I promise. Besides, I have seen you swim in worse!
Mary, that would be a great job! Stir up the pot, girl.
Nighters, Christy.
Stay warm pups.
Night, night.
-G
I have a very good friend here who was my union rep 2 schools ago. He’s now doing AARP advocacy. Also — He and his wife are also willing to house 2-3 pups for Netroots Nation. I have priced it out, and for a pair it is cheaper to stay with my friends and rent a car as a group, or stay somewhere on the bus line.
g’nite gregb
Night Greg B and others I missed.
Well darn too late
OH come on somebody has to be awake!
I’m awake. I’ve got Late Late Nite tonight so I had better be awake :)
Laura Shrub:
“I love the smell of nabobs in the morning!”
natter, natter, natter.
Not too late, just a lot of pups still just logging on.
i’m crashing. see you all for the iowa rodeo. texbetsy, did you know democracy for texas was hosting the returns at scholz’ beer garden tomorrow night?
lets go, mountaineers!
And others finally shaking off the idiocy of the day in front of a bit of fun. And i think i’ll go back to watching some classic Dr Who(5th Doctor–series 20, 1982).
They are all waiting single file at the login line.
Aw come on the game is over and Christy probably can’t sleep because of the results!
Good night, RGB.
Great – good used copies abound in second hand bookshops and I can’t imagine it has ever gone out of print. If you’re keen on becoming an organizer RFR will expedite the process. ;~)
I just now dropped in and have not read the thread. But to eCAHN’s comment I’ve got to say: “You nailed that one.”
Surrendering their manicure kits and gels over 4 ounces…
Lets GO-O-O-o!
MountainEEEEErsss!

Check out Matt Stoller:
(WTF??? Mitt Romney lauds GWB for getting us off oil, and then lamented that oil hit $100 a barrel today and that we buy 60% of our energy and that energy independence is a major challenge.
Truly dizzying intellect, that Romney.) http://www.openleft.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=3024
This is funny. People in Louisiana can be found sporting these one their bumpers.

Gotta love them Repubs!
A word of warning, it’s primarily sports related Wigwam…!
spew
Just how manny sex scandals did they get caught for last year?
The game is over so no sports Suzanne won’t let us discuss sports any way
My candidate for president is Larry Flynt.
I don’t give a shit how much Edwards paid, Romney has presidential hair.
Biden and Richardson may throw their support for Obama?
I don’t get it. And I certainly don’t get Kuchinich going there.
That’s very bad.
latelatenite upstairs :~)
So heard a CNN cut-in earlier on the radio, and they were so over the top about this DOJ investigation into the CIA tape destruction. It was strange considering how many HUGE things they haven’t even covered at all over the last few years. Then I hear Lee Hamilton quoted.
Don’t read him much anymore, but Bartcop.com has a slew of reasons for calling him “whitewash” Hamilton. Hamilton is an old pro at the coverup, and at the whole bi-partisan game.
After YEARS of *crickets* and “move along, nothing to see here” from the BigMedia and politicians, while our Constitution gets shredded and hundreds of thousands of people die based on out in the open lies, this sudden clutching of pearls by Lee Hamilton, Tom Kean, and Conglomerate Media is very, very fishy.
I’m sure some of the legal eagles around here will figure out what’s going on soon enough.
Green Funerals Catch on in the US
from HORN News by NeoNinja
From Celsias: You’ve probably read an infinite amount of articles offering tips on how to “green” your life, but now you have the opportunity to “green” your death. Morbid? Yes. Earth-friendly? You bet. Referred to as “composting at its best” by Cynthia Beal, owner of The Natural Burial Company, eco-friendly burial products have made their way into the […]
