According to me, no matter who is elected they will ask the last previous Dem president for advice. The more they use him, the more they will accomplish. But about Hillary, I think I grant that eight years of being a very politically involved First Lady do count for something in terms of experience. A book I found — “For Love of Politics: Bill and Hillary Clinton”: http://dealstudio.com/searchde.....l_id=75031 tells something, The stories and anecdotes reveal a study in contrasts - Bill’s smoothness to Hillary’s steel, Bill’s talking to Hillary’s planning, Bill’s meandering to Hillary’s focus. Now I really think Hillary has to lay claim to some substantive policy role to prove she actually has some experience.

I would fall over if they answered a question straight much less be surprised they would lie. Please let them retire to a quiet little home so that we could have less of the DLC and the Clinton “machine” THAT is my new year wish.

And QuakerGirl; if you think that pointing out Hillary’s HUGE negatives and her track record, is “working against ourselves”, and if you think that there are a lot of “disillusioned repubs” waiting to vote for her, then may I suggest that you go join her “heavy hitting staff”?

We need those wizards to have ALL of the triangulators on the same payroll. That way, the progressives who, unlike her, have had the courage to name bush’s miserable fuckups for what they are, can keep on hammering her, just like we’ve been doing, in the devout hope that the rest of the party isn’t insane enough to nominate her.

I thought Hillary showed her true self (and Obama for that matter) by avoiding the showdown with Dodd/FISA for the rule of law and that quaint little oath of hers to protect and defend the constitution. Evasive maneuvers are not leadership.

Can we ever forget her “leadership” when she and Obama stood side by side at the back of the Senate and simply waited and waited to vote. Amazing courage standing there, holding up that wall.

Bill seems to have developed some amnesia like Reagan had. Hillary has no golden touch and there’s plenty of ‘record’ (as the top of this story shows) to prove it.

As kiddo says, I would have walked over ground glass and live coals for a Hillary Clinton Presidency — once. Now, not so much. Oh, if she’s the nominee, I’ll do my part to see her elected; the alternative is bound to be much, much worse.

But when her husband talks about her Midas touch for every problem she’s ever picked up, I have to call “foul.” It just ain’t so, and Bill Clinton knows it ain’t so. I just wanted to remind him (and us) about a few problems she’s picked up on behalf of the American people. These are the ones that sprung to mind when I saw his comment — not a one of them is better for Hillary’s having picked it up.

Not a one.

I agree. My business was destroyed by NAFTA (entrenched by Reagan and begun in 1981 with the first industry to bite the dust being the Apparel Industry) and I was ready to kick Bill in the b—s. I’m still pissed. Simply put, I was disappointed in his presidency. I started with high hopes.

Now I have a bigger problem than the Clintons and that’s furthering the Repub/NeoCon agenda. I would rather put all this negative energy into the candidates I support and I feel will indeed make change. Instead, the Repugs have managed to get us to do their negative swift-boating for them. To criticize is one thing, casting aspersion is another.
