What sucks is that we get nothing for the money.

This reminds me of the line from Alice’s Restaurant where Arlo is in jail and the other guys ask him what he got. He said he didn’t get anything, he had to pay to have the dump cleaned up and for court costs.

You’re right, we don’t get anything for the money. We just have to pay it and pay it and pay it. Somebody else (I wonder who) gets the money.

As we speak, the National Guard are depleted, and literally hundreds of the fighter jets that protect the country are grounded. They are borrowing National Guard from other states all over the country, and they are borrowing Canada’s airforce to protect us. That is a bad scenario.

Maybe it means all their attempts to attack Iran and to stir up trouble have failed, so they’re now disarming domestic America and begging for somebody to attack us. After all, it takes two to have a war, even if we have to arm the “enemy”.

Of course, this Pakistan thing might be their latest “product rollout”. Maybe they think they can embroil us in a war over there (betting on Obama?) for ever.

“Endless war for endless profits!” should be the Republican party campaign slogan.

Do you roll out a new product in late December?

So you dutiful Liberals will vote for Hillary, who will commit more slaughter and squander more money in order to appear ‘tough’.

a vote for someone is a vote for their policies.

who could misunderstand the inperialistic bray throughout Clinton’s statement

I will rebuild our power and ensure that the United States is committed to building a world we want, rather than simply defending against a world we fear.

from Foreign Affairs?

Lift,

Do you have a mind link to my brain…. I thought I was looking in the mirror as I read your post. The part on C-span is true. Pull up the December 5th W/J amd listen to the tone of the callers and the obvious nervousness of the host… Callers that day wanted Bush’s head on a platter. It was the day after the NIE report on Iran. The anger crossed the political spectrum. I agree with much you say, not all, however your basic premise is correct and on point. Check out my take on the issue at the link below. I see it as the modern day “East India Tea Co” or Halibuton or Exxon mobile. energy it is all the same. Keep us dependant on the oil dude……………………………

Er…

Up. Ya got that right. And all those vile scum who in the name of ‘conservatism’ would tell you we can’t afford single-payer healthcare, new roads and bridges and schools and Universities and kickstart programs for solar roofing, electric cars and remediation of the toxins we dump into our environment….

They are liars. They are enemies of the nation.

Stevens should go to the slammer for the rest of his foul existence.

Remember Pete Stark, who was disciplined by Bush Dog Pelosi. Stark said Kommander Guy sends troops to “Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President’s amusement.” But this is true. HuffPo has still more examples of inapprpriate amusement when
discussing Iraq and War.

I don’t know who he thinks he is or what he thinks he’s grinning about, but for the Commander in Chief of the United States armed forces to smile and giggle while discussing warfare of any form or magnitude is an insult — not just to the soldiers who followed his orders into battle, but also to basic decency and human morality. From his zany “those WMDs have to be around here somewhere” sketch to his shit-eating grin whilst comparing warfare to wacky-yet-delicious breakfast foods, this extends far beyond the necessary objective distance of a military leader and into the realms of madness.

We could easily use these laws on warproffiters like Haliburtron for actually harming the war effort by wasting money. If we had any Democrats with a spine that is but no Holy Joe would prefer to make people paranoid about opposing the war on terror.
He really does not think that America is full of Al Quieda sleeper cells, he just wants America to be afraid of disagreeing with his war.
