If the Democrats kick Lieberman out of the caucus, and he votes for the other side, then there is no more majority leader Reid. Now, that might not seem too different from now, but, if the Democrats lost control of the Senate, then they would not be in session right now, with pro forma meetings scheduled to prevent recess appointments. You can bet that W would use that instantly to appoint a raft of losers to all sorts of positions, people he could never get through the Senate regardless of how Lieberman votes.

I am very disappointed in Reid for a whole bunch of reasons, but this is one thing he has done that has actually made a difference. It rests on very shaky ground; don’t be too quick to give it up.

Of course, after 2008, the political calculus is likely to be quite different, and Lieberman may find his position to be fairly unpleasant.

With the demises of Guilani and Romney, whom are the rightards left with? Mick-fucking-Huckabee? No-fucking-way!

So, they’re left with the choice between John McCain and Ron Paul. That has to be difficult for a neocon. Very, very difficult. NOT!!

They’ll choose McCain, and by “they” I mean the entire village. And Joe’s their insurance. Yes, they’ll demand Joe. Sorry!

FISA is being destroyed by S. 2248with or without immunity. And the FISA court okayed every warrant out of 20000 but 5 in its history and doesn’t think you have the right to know what any of its rullings were on illegal wiretapping.

I can’t understand why anyone thinks the R’s will nominate anyone but McCain. All the others will self-destruct (hopefully creating a lot of collateral damage). They are like a pack of Claytie Williamses who would be so bad even Republicans would have to vote for a liberal like Anne Richards by default. I don’t care if he can’t raise money, the money will eventually find its way to him as the last guy standing. And all Republicans I know at work think Droopy Dog is great (I know cuz they told me so when I would rant about how much I hated him last year).

I will just have to work twice as hard here in Texas. Since you can’t talk any sense to Republicans, my strategy is not to convert them to liberals, but to try to turn them into Paultards who will wander harmlessly over a cliff into oblivion (OK that’s not entirely harmless, especially to the denizens of oblivion, but still..).

Thanks to Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer if you don’t get to see Joe with McCain you’ll see Joe with Hillary, and I suspect not as VP in either case but as Homeland Security Czar-hole.

And FISA now will seem like heaven compared with what it will be like under Joe Hillary or McCain.

I suggest we all head to Iowa and melt a path for Obama supporters.

I can tolerate neither the sight of that man nor the sound of his smarmy sententious voice.

After your up-close time and yeoman effort on the Joe front, it is impossible to imagine how you must feel about even the merest scintilla of a hint you might have to deal with that slug again.

This needs to die aborning. McC seems senile and desperate, and your worst case scenario is *not* far-fetched. I say attack now!
