Hillary:

“Benedict” Lieberman is just showing his true, rat-like nature, scuttling into the arms of McCain. May the Democrats now throw this treacherous vermin out of its caucus and out of his Homeland Security committee chairmanship and pelt him with foul, rotten fruit (which of course, he would scarf up like the political rodent he has turned out to be).

Newsday says Bill and his partisans on her campaign are trying to sideline Mark Penn.

Of course, one of the stated reasons is supposed to be that he hasn’t let her unload on Obama.

Then again, I doubt they heard about this from someone with Penn’s best interests at heart.

It’s curious they would have to think about this move. But then, they do tend to committeeize every decision over there.

If she wants to win, then how else but to show up the opponents mistakes, flaws, etc. I don’t even think the suggestion about Republicans attacking Obama’s cocaine use was really out of bounds. The magnification of it to include drug dealing wasn’t very nice though.

Frankly, I think there’s enough known about the candidates to decide. It’s just that the early caucus/primary state electorate haven’t necessarily been listening closely. At this point, just reiterating known things can be useful.

BTW, I’d love to hear some of the Repub talking pts. Obama has used. I’ve only heard a couple of his speeches and they’re pretty blase.

I wonder, if Edwards people have considered who he might want as a veep, would they consider Hillary at all? I wouldn’t say the heat of the campaign has been a problem. But, their politics are so different. It doesn’t seem possible from that point of view. Still, uniting the party and getting a practiced campaigner on the ticket would have to be considered. Picking someone like Sebelius or Napolitano (for example) would be a lot riskier, despite any political similarities which might be there. [ Note: I don’t know those governors politics at all. ]

On Lieberman: I think he would’ve endorsed Hillary if she was a shoe-in. But, now that her fortunes have faded it’s clear he had to go with the Republican most likely to keep the war in Iraq going. He seems to be a single-issue guy right now.

1) consolidated ownership of media MUST end and they must be broken up

2) corporate “peoplehood” must be rescinded, a corporation may NOT participate in elections or politics, IF a person wants to participate, they need to disolve their corporation and they need to answer themselves for what they do

no corporate umbrella of protection to anyone who contributes to campaigns
