. Drudgico then wonders if Rudy will have a problem running his campaign if Hillary slips in the polls. Because, you know, the guy who is basically replaying the southern strategy would have a real problem running against Obama.

Sent a pointed email to my HS classmate, whose wife worked for Jean Shaheen. Not holding breath waiting for cogent rationalization of Bill Shaheen’s behavior.
OT but anyone talked about the Fed’s effort to create a pool with other national banks to help bail out investors in the subprime mess? This is in addition to a couple of interest rate cuts. On the other side is Henry Paulson’s plan to help out about 6% of homeowners with bad mortgages. Oh wait, the principal reason for that was to support housing prices so that investors would be protected from another hit on their investments. Never mind.
One probably has to be an asshole to run for pres. All of the current candidates qualify.

So how can you not know? Very simple. Just say do whatever you like just don’t tell me (that way I can say I didn’t know just the way shrub does). There is still an out should a memo expose you DID know; just explaining you are so busy and had so many things on your mind that you didn’t remember (a la Scooter).
What’s the difference between “I forgot” and “I don’t remember”? Remember that and always say “you don’t remember” lest ‘forgot” reveals you did remember at some point. Funny how things work. Jar my memory and I remember. That doesn’t seem to be the case with our elite leaders. Nothing jars their memory.

Excuse me but when did it become awful to tell the truth in an interview. The republicans will obviously use Obama’s youthful drug use against him. I’d be very surpised if they only asked “When was the last time you used them?” and “Did you ever sell drugs?” It may not be fair but that never stopped them before and it won’t this time either.
By the way, Shaheen did not accuse Obama of being a drug dealer. He posited that the above questions might be asked by republicans in ads. You really should not just make it up as you go along.

So Condi is saying that we should not reward NK because we have productive negotiations with them and they are a threat, and that we should not reward Iran because we do not have productive negotiations with them and even though they are less of a threat than we supposed that just goes to show that they still are a major threat.
Sorry for the convoluted prose, but that will happen when you follow Condi’s thought processes too closely.

Depends on what the meaning of corruption is. Have a mental model about what is appropriate. My HS friend was on the side of the right in being prosecuted with Dr. Spock over Vietnam. Now that his brother-in-law is on Hillary’s side, my guess is that he is now on the dark (Hillary) side. Will let everyone know if I hear from him.

I think that Feingold is the only one on the Intelligence Committee though. And he is also on the Judicial Committee. I fact, most of the signatories are.
whitehouse voted for the intelligence committee version. worse yet, he voted against an amendment (in committee) to remove immunity from the intelligence committee fisa bill.

and they promised me no more then 4 tours of duty in Iraq…that was very nice of them but they refused to put that in writing?
they didn’t promise they wouldn’t then send me to Iran though…I’m not sure they won’t once my four tours are up in Iraq…not happy about that but the recruitment guy promised everything was gonna be all good
I also got a signing bonus, 25000 bucks but only if I don’t get wounded or die
I asked if I could use that money to buy some equiptment for my trip and they said only if I bought the equiptment from someone called “abe rahm off”
