It wasn’t just George. It was all the super-rich who wanted tax breaks and media types who wanted access and pundits who needed their jobs and reps who didn’t want to come out of the closet and small-time politicos who wanted a few extra bucks. It wasn’t ALL of us, but it was a lot of people who thought it didn’t matter to do a little damage here and a little there.

I thought the Truth was that we aspired to greatness and all the while those little people were just aspiring to greater wealth.

Love this idea! Yep, just send a barf bag (or even a paper sandwich bag with “American Barf” on it. LOL Think they’d get the idea of how Americans are feeling? I think so.

Waterboarding is like dunking. The only difference is that our modern witches (called “terrorists”) are presumed guilty, i.e., are guilty of having secret knowledge intended to cause danger to American citizens or friends of such, whereas the Puritans, at least, considered the dunking to be a trial to determine guilt.

This whole business is so sick as to be stupifying. [edited by mod to remove reference to violence]

In my opinion, Facebook is used in the rare situation that firedoglake.com goes down temporarily, or something like that – Just a temporary communication site.

Also, a place where FDL’ers can chat with others – I understand that some FDL’ers like to keep in touch with others who live in the same neck of the woods.
