What was possible even more offensive was that the introduction made no mention of his incredibly controversial history, merely describing him as a law professor and former Bush official. And. And he had the temerity to use the terms “prisoners of war” and “POW” repeatedly to describe the detainees. This after BushCo went through tortuous legal contortions to <em>avoid</em> having these prisoners classed as such so that the Geneva Conventions would not apply. </p> <p>Why is NPR giving this creature a soapbox?
