Yeah, I remember the late, unlamented Hugh Sidey. He’s the one who expressed relief that Ronnie and Nancy brought “class” back to the White House after my fellow Georgians had left. Yep, class. Like eating dinner on a TV tray while wearing your pajamas.

They’re givin’ shrub credit for authoring the new NIE (that totally humiliates him), as a means of defusing tension with Iran. Huh?????!

This is a variant of an old Tony Snow dodge. He would say that someone who was diametrically opposed to some Administration policy actually agreed with it. Here obviously Bush had to be behind the NIE because it totally undermines the Iran saber rattling he has been doing since including Iran in the Axis of Evil in his 2002 State of the Union speech.
