In every pulp detective novel where the killer lives in some mansion or rural estate the bodies are always buried in the “rose garden”. So maybe Judy’s diggin’ has some greater symbolism there.

My 5:46 does not go far enough in certifying all the damage that has been done in the name of Jesus Christ (and other competing world religions) and CONTINUES to be done. The fact that I know that the flawed teaching/enforcement was antithetical to what Jesus preached and lived is of little solace to the victims, some of whom I believe are on scarecrow’s thread.

FWIW, there are few people I look up to more for moral leadership than scarecrow and I know from experience his position on these matters.

From scarecrow’s thread:

I’m not going to defend organized religions, but the guy who wrote this, Paul, was way, way ahead of his time.

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galations 3:28.”

It’s not as though the Church of FDL is making too much money or has too many parishioners. Instead of ripping religion, lets celebrate the diversity Reb Deb brings to this community. Also whatever Xtian denomination she represents is rare for not reserving all authority to men.

It’s also not as though the new Church of science and secularism has been a dramatic improvement over what came before.

I’m not a techie and this is a feature of firefox and I don’t know about any other browsers, but if I hit “ctrl” and “+” it enlarges the text of the page, “ctrl” and “-” makes it smaller fwiw.

On the Mac, in both Safari and Firefox, Command + and Command - does the same thing.

I agree. I don’t have the “I’m home’ feeling yet. On another point, I’d like to enlarge the print but not having any luck. The ‘text size’ button doesn’t do it. Any techies have any suggestions?

It’s browser dependent. With Firefox, do a “control +” to increase font and “control -” to decrease.
