Remember AllTheSpook. He spoke of a network of current-and-ex DoD folks who worried about insanity running amok within the defense/intelligence establishment. Also, I’ve had friends who worked at the top levels of secrecy within those establishments, and they told me of informal networks of well intentioned folks who were concerned about the soundness of our “defense posture.”</p> <p>If these reports about Iran’s activities are accurate and well documented, this sounds like a revolt of the reality-based community against rampant insanity. It’s the scandal of the decade in the sense that it has now been fully disclosed by the highest levels of government that the entire neocon establishment is full of shit and has been trying to involved us in yet-another war on a false premise. And mind you, it’s not just our neocons. The entire right wing in Israel has been pushing this agenda. And, if the CIA knows that the premise is bullshit, so does Mossad.
