Poor guy. He’s probably very disturbed and will end up spending the rest of his days watching Michele Malkin on t.v. while he spends his days in a mental hospital. Somehow I don’t see that helping his condition.

We have the S 1959 “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007″ waiting in committee and it just passed the House 404 to 6.

And the guy being interviewed said that this guy (he was “told”) was into “conspiracy theories and such”.

Pretty much similar thing happened with subbie mortgages. Lotta cats made out great off all that transactional fee money, but the chumps left holding the bad paper when the music stopped are now SOL.

I quit in early 2005. Couldn’t continue abetting what was an obvious rip-off.

And now we watch it all unravel…

What makes the subbie mortgage thing even worse than what we were doing is that, whereas the bid value (and projected longer term value) of the bundled revolving credit accounts we securitized was a function of our astute proprietary risk modeling, subbie mortgage vetting became “you got a pulse? fine, here’s your loan.”

Churn & burn to the max. Everyone just assumed that real estate values could only go up.

WTF? Why in the world would the FBI have an office in such a small town?

Rochester is not that small. It is a city by NH standards. It is right off I-95 and about 45 minutes to Boston’s Logan airport, and close to other NH towns like Nashua, Rye, Hampton, Seabrook (think Nuclear Plant). It is a gateway to the state. Despite its small size, NH is hard to get around. Great North/South highways, but virually impossible to go West-East. So it makes sense to have field offices.

Some time ago ( a year or so, I guess) “Leisure Guy” scolded us for the “Fitz” nonsense at the beginning of each thread. I don’t think he ever came back.

A little history: It all started with “Frist” then morphed into “Fitz” and now “Zed” seems to have held on for quite awhile. Personally, I like shouting “Jane!” at the beginning of each thread but now I’l switch to “Starbuck”.

I’m puerile that way.
