Big Tent Democrat seems to think there may be legal consequences for Rudy as a result of sending NY cops to chauffer his squeeze:
There oughta be a law! Oh wait, there is one:
[NY State Comptroller Alan Hevesi's] decision to step down came as Albany prosecutors were preparing to ask a grand jury to indict him on charges of defrauding the government and on other felonies stemming from his use of state employees as chauffeurs and aides to his wife , a law enforcement official said, charges that could have yielded a prison sentence had he been convicted.
Sounds like Rudy committed a felony to me.
I hate posting this, but I just can’t contain myself. I really hope Rudy does not implode before getting the nomination, and I’m not being an insincere concern troll here. Really, I think Rudy is tied inextricably to the Bush Administration’s policies and history, and when you combine that with his lack of on-camera skills and his tendency to be a brittle asshole when challenged, all the things that make the lizard brains love him will over time repulse large numbers of the electorate. Huckabee or Romney have the opportunity to run as reform candidates — that option is not open to Rudy. George Bush hangs like a giant anvil around his neck.
So Rudy, best of luck. Here’s hoping the crooks, the floozies and the firefighters don’t take you down before the GOP crowns you their king. I worry, though, that somebody else is figuring Rudy can’t go the distance — and have decided to make sure he doesn’t get the chance.
That would be a major bummer.

Hi Jane! Go Rudy Go!!
I agree that Rudy will be easy to beat. However, if they steal another election and give it to Rudy, this nightmare will only get worse. So, I’m torn.
The fact that the Rudy stories have gotten no MSM exposure, vs Hillary and that revolting WaPo Obama story is bad news for the up coming general election. The right and left Hillary derangement syndrome and the Obama is a Muslim mole make one wonder if the fix is in with the MSM.
I kinda Rudy’d out. Left my sentiments as OTs on other threads. But I’m having a good time with it.
What is the statute on this one? These offenses took place 6-10 year ago, so Rudy may be in the clear.
Hmmm. Makes a certain perverse sense.
I was hoping too that a bunch of this stuff would stay under wraps until after he got the nomination.
I love it — wrap like an anvil around his neck ;-)
However, I do think all of them are susceptible to that. Now if the Dems would only DO that (the anvil tying I mean)…
I’m also inclined to worry about the same sort of thing solai @ 4 says…
The fact that Ghouliani is running at all is a very dangerous matter on a lot of levels.
$400 haircut $400 haircut $400 haircut $400 haircut …
Now, there’s reporting for you.
Ahh, the feets of clay of those who armor themselves with lies.
How cool it would be for Rudi do get indicted for some sleaze after he wins a few primaries or maybe the nomination.
That would be so cool.
If there is a god, she knows what to do now!
Abner Louima
Amadou Diallo
Patrick Dorismond
And for some inexplicable reason Ferrets?
It looks bad for Rudy. The drip-drip-drip of scandal is turning into a full open faucet.
That 9-11 hero bullsh*t cant hide his crooked, corrupt and adulterous soul.
Why am I not sad?
If what I’ve seen in the polls is correct, Rudy (And DeadFred and McCain) are fading in the polls. Seems like Huckleberry Hound’s now the GOP annointed…
With Roodi, it’s personal with me.. as I got rounded up and tossed in jail and had to go to court numerous times to have it tossed out… of course.
He needs to spend some time as a defendant and a night in the tombs… at least before his arraignment.
dakine01 @ 13
Kerik
Business with Al Qaeda connections post 9/11.
His ex wif, Donna Hanover, is really classy and not dishing.. or maybe she is too embarrassed or thinking about her kids. She must have some good ones on roodi.
It’s hard to know which gooper would be more fun. But Rudi seems like a special gift in particular because he is such a pet of the rightwing pundit class.
SanderO @ 16
You’re the first I’ve met who was part of that group.
All I did during the RNC convention was walk by the hotels & tell reps, as they were boarding buses to go 3 blocks, that they should all go home; we didn’t want them in our city.
SanderO @ 18
I’ll admire her if she keeps quiet. Even leaks can be traced. There’s plenty on Rudy outside of her relationship with him. She can take the High Road & still get revenge.
It remains to be seen what the narrative of the SCLM and the Village Heathers will be concerning this story and St Rudy of 911.
If the Heathers lead by say, Maureen Dowd and CeCi Connelly gather around Rudy this story has all the traction of the actual Sitreps from the weapons-finding teams in Iraq post-invasion versus Judy Miller’s breathless stories of “almosts”.
Rudy could easily get a pass on this, the media is too invested in his narrative, and virtually crowned him “Americas Mayor” when Preznit Fraidy Bunnypants failed to show in Lower Manhattan on that day. I’m not holding my breath to see if this grows legs… I’ll just quietly lift a pint to the media if they take Rudy down and he becomes cellmates with his BFF Bernie.
eCahn, that was during Bloomy.. I got hit on during Amadou.
After watching the slug fest last night, I am not too worried about any of the GOOpers.
Huckabee has the Aw-Shucks kinda charm but his support is coming from the Christianists. He has some Skeletons in his closet as well.
Romney has been stumping all across Iowa proclaiming the wonderful policies of George Bush. He even agreed to continue the torture polices last night.
McCain accused Paul of being a Nazi because he wants to get out of Iraq and have the US quit invading sovereign countries.
Rudy was booed because he supports limited restrictions on Gun rights.
Paul is now being portrayed as a conspiracy theorist.
Tancredo is the doom and gloom “the terrorists have already invaded us through our open borders” candidate.
Duncan Hunter – I built the fence. I built the fence! Be afraid of immigrants.
The GOP party is coming apart at the seems in front of our eyes and I could not be happier.
solai @ 4
i’m not. i don’t disagree with jane often, but this is one of those times. i think giuliani is the most dangerous presidential candidate (not as a campaigner – as a potential president).
and there’s always the chance that an election is stolen or the dem candidate implodes…. i want giuliani as far from the presidency as possible.
freaks me out just thinking about him being potus.
Tim Rusted will have some Rudy rehabilitating to do on MTP week after week. And after a few more Rudy revelations, poor old Prissy will finally be led away sobbing, “But that bitch Hillary is so much worse.”
SanderO @ 23
Ooops. Got me.
Xenos @ 7
The legal statute of limitations may be in the past. But the moral implications of ripping off the taxpayers of NY and hiding the information in smaller city agencies as a fraud does not have an expiration date.
what Selise said.
Brisingamen @ 15
Yep. Looks like they’ve given up on Roody. What doesn’t jibe though, is Pat Diamond Mines Robertson’s early Roody endorsement. He’ll have to recant and give it to the most likely Puklican. Looks like Nutcase Huck right now.
What looks better on the rear bumper of a pickup truck with SC plates:
HUCKABEE-PAUL
or
PAUL-HUCKABEE?
The RNC is one thing that bloomy did which really pisses me off. Aside from that he’s been OK so far.
I wish he would remove all the damn barricades on the streets downtown around gov buildings…. it’s just paranoid overkill.
Who is protecting Rudy?
Someone must be, there is a truckload of allegations against him yet nothing seems to stick.
I can’t believe the press is giving him such a pass either, the tales are begging to be told.
Ooops. Sorry mods, don’t know how I got hung up but there ya are.
SanderO @ 31
As I recall he also supported Lieberlier – Koch did, I know, but I think Bloomie did too.
He’s kinda dwarfish
He’s kinda trollish
He’s Ronald Reagan
Without the polish
The man strikes fear
His name is Rudy
He sure is scary
And just a weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee bit fruity
eCAHNomics @ 20
i think kirk murphy was arrested during the rnc protests. i played it relatively safe – went down for the week, but during most of the protests (except the big permitted march) and while doing jail solidarity i was a volunteer with the national lawyers’ guild. the most time i’ve ever spent in your fair city.
The press wants a roodi hillary slug fest because it will get nasty and very good for telly.
Both have huge walk in closets with lotsa skeletons.
Bustednuckles @ 33
Rudy’s a Republican so the first instinct of the press is to look the other way, even with the sex and corruption angles to play.
Drip, drip, drip…
SanderO @ 36
Both also are MidEast war hawks. And, that I think is the most important thing. (Military-Industrial-MSM complex!!)
Jo Fish @ 23
Look, I dislike Bush as much as the next person, but there was a sound strategic reason why he didn’t go to Manhattan or DC on 9/11.
When it is determined that the country may be under attack, the President and Vice President, and as much of the Government as possible is evacuated from DC and taken to a place that can be secured by the military.
Usually this will be an AF base. The Congressional bolt-hole used to be in the mountains of West Virginia…
Robo-Romney and Huckster-Huckabee are sliding into place as Rudy the rutter is revealed.
dang blang it.
Isn’t a lot of the Florida Republican Machine backing Romney?
I suspect that you’re right. Those that really know Guiliani don’t think he’s a good choice for a presidential candidate.
formerly undecided @ 43
I still have a hunch they will pull Jebbie out of the hat at the last minute.
Richmond @ 43
Per this Village Voice article Rudy has a few terrorists in his background, which kinda puts the lie to his St Rudy of 9/11 schtick.
We have a great city with many progressive and the Brecht Forum and so forth.
But we got the wall street righties and their thug cops protecting THEIR property.
Bloomy did do a no no with hojo. I fergot. But he’s a far better mayor then roodi.
I think Donna Hanover is being given too much credit for her silence. She may be the most honorable person on earth (I have no idea) but Rudy’s still the father of her children and if she’s human she’d love to see her children be a part of history.
Richmond at 46:
You can bet on it. If not now, then later. They’ve invested too much in Jeb to ever let go.
Richmond @ 45
Jeb is Permanent Vice President Cheney’s leading choice right now: Bush/Cheney ‘08.
dakine01 @ 45
SanderO @ 46
NYC tends to have good mayors. I lived there through Rudy’s reign (and there were good and bad moments). But why such a Democratic city would chose Rethug mayors is beyond me. Perhaps now that the Gov is a Dem it will shift. In the past there also have been serious race/religious issues in the candidate choices, and other than DInkins, NYC hasn’t been willing to support a minority person.
Running against Clinton/Gore ‘08?
solai @ 49
Being part of Presidential Campaign History is asking a lot. Any of the kids who have been there recently will attest.
Badwater @ 49
*x* (the opposite of *g*).
There are usually a gazillion dems in a primary food fight and one rich well oil machine backed rethug…
People go for the rethug it seems in that scenario.
Oh nobody mentioned the title of the post. I’m the only one who laughed.
SanderO @ 54
I think it is more than that, but money and uniformity vis-a-vis pool candidates are part of this.
(everyone here is probably too young…)
Jane Hamsher @ 60
No, I think you’re a few years younger than I am. I just never was a fan of the artist involved.
Jane Hamsher @ 59
aaayyyyup*g
Jane Hamsher @ 59
Oh no, no, no…
Kenny Rogers before facelifts was quite a talent. And the last part of that song always made me laugh, tragic as it was. LOL
gravelly voice…
I recall it well.
Does anyone (besides me) think that Romney is the most arrogant, phony, smirky asshole running? He reminds me of Bush.
Jane, darling I am vintage from the first half of the last century.
Don’t take your love to town? Betty Page…
Jane Hamsher @ 59
Hey grandma :)
Brisingamen @ 43
Very true. Which makes me wonder why he sat there for quite a while (20-30 minutes?) at the school while the nation was under attack. SHouldn’t the SS have hustled him out of there immediately, and why didn’t they?
solai @ 64
Well, if he isn’t, he’s doing a really good job of trying to dress himself up like him.
solai @ 62
Some chance that he might be a more competent manager & not try to destroy the govt from within? Anyone from MA want to chime in?
“i want giuliani as far from the presidency as possible.”
I’m wit’choo, to put it in new yawk-speak. Things are just too fucking dangerous these days …..NOTHING can be assumed, not even that a lying, sliming, thieving thug as obvious as the Ghoul won’t land in the oval office.
Especially not that.
Actually Jane, the true afficianado knows who wrote the song. No fair with the google
Jane Hamsher @ 57
I laughed!!! It’s perfect!! The story of his life or his cheated on wives club life, I should say!
Check this out. Huchabee gets phone call from God.
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/…..-with-god/
ot… but funny (i think) – just got an email from redstate. they are calling for sam feist (cnn political director) and david bohrman (senior vp and executive producer of the debate) to be fired…. for letting democrats ask questions.
*wraps mind around this*
OW!!! That *hurt*!
What kind of reasoning is THAT, anyway???
selise @ 72
Anyone who gets fired for any reason in MSM might be an uptick.
eCAHNomics @ 73
And thinking you saw a ufo is weird?
eCAHNomics @ 68
i don’t think he’s as bad as bush was (i lived in tx during the bush years). but then our state leg is something like 80% dem.
solai @ 64
He is fading fast in the polls here in Iowa. Did you notice that he was profusely sweating during last nights debate?
Hmmmm…somebody could be gettin’ ready to let Rudy crash and burn…and, since Jeb appeared last week with, soon to be in more trouble, KKKarl…I agree, they are gettin’ ready to pull him out of the mothballs….now, that is scary, because he is not at all like his, most unpopular brother in the world, but, he lacks the fake Texas accent, and he is married to an Hispanic woman (whose sister BTW is married to Mary Kay Letourneau’s brother)….big weird skeletons go back in that family, and ultimately come all the way around to Blackwater, I think.
Jane Hamsher @ 59
What, is it another Robin Trower song?
Interesting reading for these dark times…written in 1967 and pooh-poohed as conspiracy theory trash, Report from Iron Mountain by Leonard Lewin is a blueprint for what has occurred in this country in the past 40 years.
Rudy Giuliani was a practicing fascist as USA for the Southern District way back when in the Pizza Connection days and the arrests of Winters and Magno in the 113th Precinct.
I worked for the man and personally felt the impact of his policies on the city and those who were employed by the city and treated as so many serfs unless you were in the inner circle.
He’s been practicing many years for this role.
Jane Hamsher @ 57
Just got here Jane…
So you just dropped in to see what condition rudy’s condition was in?
Swopa @ 81
I love Robin Trower!!! My dog used to howl when he heard the tone of the guitar…
tw3k @ 76
not any weirder than believing in jesus literally turning water into wine… both seem pretty harmless to me. unlike creationism which is a destructive belief – since it requires ditching much of science (biology, physics and geology to begin with).
Swopa @ 82
Now, c’mon…Trower actually channeled some Hendrix in some of his work. Or at least maybe Hendrix on ‘L*des.
The song is by Kenny Rogers and The First Edition, written by Mel Tillis.
Jane Hamsher @ 58
or, in my case, culturally clueless.
selise @ 74
That is too funny. Why don’t you respond with a link to this NY TIMES Campus Voice article: Republican Harvard Students Give Thoughts on GOP Debate

Hi Jane. Did you see Rudy’s new denial?
Breaking News from ABCNEWS.com:
RUDY GIULIANI TELLS ABC NEWS THAT A REPORT CITING TRAVEL EXPENSE ABUSE WAS A “HIT JOB.”
Say it ain’t so Jane. You think Rudy implodes against any and every democratic presidential candidate, including the Clintons?
eCAHNomics @ 73
I thought it was pretty funny. Someone referred to something Bob Newhart once did…besides..it shows that Ghouliani’s call wasn’t even original..
Jane, I LOVED the title. Remember Kenny singing that song very well.
A.
I remember kenny rogers and ‘the first edition’ singing ‘what condition my condition was in’
B. Get out the tasers:
Exciting news! Elizabeth Kucinich, wife of Dennis Kucinich and spokesperson for peace, will be joining our Speak Up for Peace conference call this evening! (Note: it will be 9pm EST.)
Join us tonight for a phone conversation with female peace movement leaders. We’ll hear from Ret. Colonel Ann Wright, Iraq Veteran Against the War Maricela Guzman, impeachment activist and former Congresswoman Elizabeth Holtzman, Elizabeth Kucinich, CODEPINK Co-founders Gael Murphy and I, and author and CODEPINK wordsmith Gayle Brandeis. This all-star group of activists will share with us their personal experiences speaking out for peace, and what we can do to continue speaking up as we move forward into 2008.

selise @ 85
Me too, being a popular culture moron. (And proud of it.)
IrishJim @ 87
‘cuz i don’t want to get banned. signed up at redstate long, long ago… may need that uid someday.
Romney is a smirkster, ’tis true. But for my money there is nothing as bloodcurdling, bone-chilling and hair-raising in the visual media today as the image of the Ghoul “smiling.”
I mean if THAT face was on the serpent, Eve never would’ve eaten the apple.
LS @ 80
OK…my question is: Who is running this show? Daddy Bush? Cheney? Who is pulling the strings?
Jane Hamsher @ 59

That’s Balrog.

TexBetsy @ 90
Yep – got to be really wary of them fighting auditors…mmm…hmmm…
Toby Wollin @ 98
multifactorial
This story started with the Drudge-aligned Politico and made Fox News, remember. This means that Rudy’s claims that this is a Democratic trick don’t hold water.
I think that at least some Republicans have concluded that Rudy’s going to self-destruct, so it’s better to destroy him now, before he wins the nomination. The GOP prefers nice, clean coronations, and if Rudy becomes inconvenient they’ll knife him.
Too bad: running against the guy in the general election would have been fun.
Toby Wollin @ 98
Big, big, big global energy money investors and people like Kissinger.

eCAHNomics @ 69
Couldn’t get him out of the state fast enough…
Sorry to inflict you with whatever little part we played in his masterplan to rule the most powerful country in the world…
we apologize
Boston1775 @ 115
It’s OK(patting Boston on the shoulder), we loosed Rudy on the free world…we have our own sorrows.
Boston1775 @ 113
I’d be tempted to apologize from NYC for Rudy, but it appears we’re having too much fun to be sorry about his run. Mitt’s not likely to provide as much.
Woe is me!
My ferret costume rental business sunk before it even gets started. What’s a poor boy to do?
Boston1775 @ 116
Seems like Willard tries to forget that he was Governor of Mass all the time. It’s like he shouts “I WAS GOVERNOR” and then mumbles real softly *of massachusetts*.
IIRC, didn’t he announce his Pres candidacy in MI in order to play off his father’s histroy rather than his own?
SanderO @ 39
What skeletons does Hillary have? She’s been so picked apart already there can’t be anything further. Starr dredged and dredged, but came up with nothin’!
mc @ 108
Cheers mc!
The (R)’s could nominate Dracula himself, and he would probably win if the (D)’s nominate a triangulating, DLC neo-con candidate, thereby alienating enough sincere anti-war voters who can no longer abide the Least Worst.
It just has to be close enough to steal- and they already know how a
centrist (D) candidate will roll over and concede a contested election.
Nominate a fighter, pragmatists, cause the one thing centrist (D)’s do best is snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

OT, but it sounds like Reid has gotten a lesson in effective framing:
From the AP on war funding: “Bush Republicans have indefinitely committed our military to a civil war that has taken a tremendous toll on our troops and our ability to respond to other very real threats around the world,” Reid said.
Matthews and Huckabee are lost in the halls of Christians’ past.

Huckabee has announced that he would never want to be elected to be God. He wants to be a servant.

Eureka Springs @ 131
Exactly, his words ring hollow, what I want is action, particularly on FISA and honoring Dodd’s hold on the SSCI’s bill… 8-(
Boston1775 @ 134
What a fucking relief that is!
Huckster just said he thinks it is bad when people think they are running for Lord of the US. He is only running as a servant of the Lord. So when Chris Matthews said do you speak for the lord…the answer from the huckster is yes.
This is pretty funny. Political attack art in NY Public Library.

Let’s all remember that the reason that the fascist candidates are SOOOO far out in the right-wing ether and makin’ a cartoon out of the campaign politics thus far is that the fix is truly in…the oligarchy wants Mrs. Clinton and she and her fawnin’ groupie Clintonistas want the oligarchy. It’s a win-win for the fascists, they get the most politically sophisticated corporatist politician in the White House and the most compromised…Mrs. Clinton is the only candidate who as President would be able to circumscribe and then kill the movement toward a progressive majority in the Congress. And she would follow orders completely because, to the extent that she has a politics it’s reflected in the Bush administration.

Olmert warns of ‘end of Israel’
Israel’s Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has said failure to negotiate a two-state solution with the Palestinians would spell the end of the State of Israel.
He warned of a “South African-style struggle” which Israel would lose if a Palestinian state was not established.
Mr Olmert was returning from the Annapolis conference in the US where he and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas pledged to launch formal peace talks.
-snip-
Mr Olmert said it was not the first time he had articulated his fears about the demographic threat to Israel as a Jewish state from a faster growing Palestinian population.
He made similar comments in 2003 when justifying the failed strategy of unilateral withdrawals from Israeli-occupied land which holds large Palestinian populations.
“If the day comes when the two-state solution collapses, and we face a South African-style struggle for equal voting rights, then, as soon as that happens, the State of Israel is finished,” Mr Olmert is quoted saying in Haaretz newspaper.

But what I’m seeing now is: the current “grand old men of the party” hitting the exit doors and the younger guys – the ones who would be the “go to” guys in the next election cycle – well if it was Delay and Frist, then we KNOW what happened to those guys.

“Sex”? I think I heard something about that.
Taylor Marsh really hammers the WaPo on the Obama and Bill Clinton stories. Her take on the Bill Clinton story:

That’s what Lahoma tells me too.

not the end of israel – the end of a “jewish” israel.
Robert Kennedy Jr. endorses Hillary!!!
Huckabee the preacher. Rudy the crook. Mitt the flip flopper and McCain the zany suck up. What a crew.
From the NY Daily News on Rude-E:
Of Course, Rude-E tells Katie Couric that, while he knew none of how this was done, it was done in order to provide greater transparency and speed up final payment.

Santorum and Allen. Off the tracks permanently, hopefully. New faces to worry about; Adam Putnam and that young guy from Texas, Hersinger (not sure of that last name).
Meanwhile……Bushco is cooking up fuckery for Chavez:

True! All those brown-skinned peoples will water down the Body Politic… Hmmm… where have we heard that before… ?
The NewsHour has a panel made up of Condi biographers talking about her Middle East efforts. These include Bumiller, Kessler, Mabry.
I hate to keep repeating this but NOTHING happened at Annapolis, zero, nada, zip. It is inexplicable that the MSM keeps acting like it did although even they can’t point to anything.
Rudy may be more beatable, but he is also more dangerous. I really think that if by some fluke he won it would be the end of the world, not in an instant nuclear war, but in a path that would assure horror upon horror for decades and decades to come. The other Republicans are merely awful human beings or wierdos — the rest of the world could isolate them or ignore them.

Plenty of brown Jews in Israel CT.
1,673 DAYZ AND THE KILLIN’ GOEZ ON AND ON AND..
Citizen oklahoma kiddo and the Firepup Freedom Fighters:
Sorry to see you fall under the pressure, kiddo, but I certainly understand. However, if you truly care about a progressive politics and a progressive political majority in our country, Mrs. Clinton is the ONLY politician that as president could kill both.
Make no mistake about it, Firepups, the reason we are seein’ the end of the Republican Party and the trivialization of politics and the political process is that the corporate oligarchy wants the cover of legitimacy that Mrs. Clinton will give them…another Clinton presidency means the end of the Constitution.
KEEP THE FAITH AND REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE NO LONGER LESSER EVILS TO VOTE FOR!!
Hugh @ 181
It is rather irritating that they can’t make their own independent analysis and realize it was purely a dog and pony show…
TexBetsy @ 183
Yes, Ma’am I know, maybe I used too broad a brush… But, ya know what I meant… *g* Tancredo, Hunter…?
Oklahoma kiddo @ 172
Your balance :)
I hear penicillin works for brittle asshole.
Shame, Shame. Stop stealing T-Rex’s material. Then again, I think we’ll a You-Tube war. It’s been awhile.
RON PAUL
Funny but you don’t hear any of these scandalous things about him. The worst they can do is twist his votes and positions around to make him look bad.
Kenny Rogers lololol. That reminded of that other Kenny Rogers song… the one the bushitists been singing for awhile “You Picked a Fine Time To Leave Me Loose Wheel” errr Lucille.
I’m not old, just nicely aged ;-) Robin Trower too :-) Good stuff.
Rudy. What can one say. I swear he’s just out there to keep triggering everyone’s mass ptsd episodes. “Keep Fear Alive” is his message. Here’s Josh Marshall’s report a few months back on who Rudy get his forign policy advice from. And, locally, his best friend is the Mukasay waterboarderist.

FIRST POST LOLGAY
Damn, girl. I just get all melty when you write like this. I’m there, seeing what you see. Muchas gracias.
TexBetsy @ 148
That really only applied while Reagan was a candidate and didn’t want anyone speaking the truth about him.
The current crop of Repub candidates are apparently all really running for the nomination and there’s no one ringer (like Dubya). So, they sling crap like they would when opposing a Dem.
You might be right here, but I am concerned that Rudy can be a charming guy who might have more persistent appeal to the lizard brains than you think.
