Funny thing about this. I live in NYC, and hated G from the getgo, but I never saw him as the ideologue that Greenwald paints him. Now you can’t deny his words, but they don’t seem to fit the man I lived (with?/under?) who was my mayor for 8 years.

I suspect the circled is squared as follows:

Therefore, his words seem inconsistent with his prior utterances, which is why he gets away with a reputation as a non-ideologist, which he was in the past. The link is lack of knowledge & willingness to do anything to become prez.

Sounds just like McCain or Romney, or anybody trying to get the Wingnut brigade’s vote.

To me Rudy seems like the dumbist guy in the world to run for President. Bernie Kerik is going to be on trial next year. Strike One. The NY Fire Department is totally against Rudy. Strike Two. Three wives. Strike Three.

He’s there primarily to challenge for New York if Hillary gets the Dem nomination. It’s a favorite Rovian/Bushie tactic to try and take their opponent’s home state. They got Tennessee vs. Gore and just about went out of their minds with joy. Crazy guys.

On top of all the really good reasons to oppose Hillary Clinton (eg, her refusal to renounce her AUMF vote and then, proving she learned NOTHING from that mistake, voting for Kyl-Lieberman), here’s a key one:

Should Ghouliani get the GOP nod, Hillary will be constrained from clubbing him repeatedly around the head and neck over Bernard Kerik, because she herself cheered Kerik’s nomination for DHS head. The best she’ll be able to do regarding Kerik is another lame “if I knew then what I know now” song.

We need a nominee who (among many more important things, like not being a neocon stooge) will be in a position to “Kerik” Rudy relentlessly and with unbridled ferocity.
