Buzzy Tells Waxman He Told Cookie About Joining Blackwater

We’re that much closer to a perjury investigation. Buzzy Krongard has told House oversight committee staff what he told TPMmuckraker on Wednesday: that he told his brother, State Department Inspector General Howard “Cookie” Krongard, about his decision to join the advisory board of State Department contractor Blackwater. Cookie Krongard told the committee on Wednesday his brother had told him no such thing.

Ya, I just commented that it looks like they are eating their own, if his brother WANTED to get him into trouble it would have been harder to do a better job

I have to think that the House already had the goods, or suggested that they soon would. All it would take would be a phone or email record that came from a Blackwater site…especially one that might say buzzy@blackwater.com

I was really encouraged yesterday in talking to the folks who were at the event – there’s great local support waiting to be tapped if a good challenger to Rahm appears … and we have enough time to plan to do that right!

One of the reporters asked me why I, a white blogger, cared about immigrants rights and my answer was that immigration looks to me like the latest Republican invent an issue they can use to divide us all … people were not all het up over immigration until the Rs started playing it … and folks like Rahm, instead of calling bullshit then go along and try to top the Rs … since my daughter is an immigrant, the issue is close to my heart but it’s also another example of power moves aimed at keeping the majority of americans fighting each other instead of building a progressive nation.

My answer would have been that I have about a hundred ancestors who were immigrants, starting with the Mayflower, and ending with some German immigrants who came over in the 1880s, and I’m not even sure if all of them were properly documented. I want the immigrants of today to get the same opportunities that my ancestors got. So I care a great deal about what happens to immigrants.

The only exception to that is that I do not condone any illegal or unethical behavior they may have committed, especially with regard to Native Americans. Which may leave Lou Dobbs too much of an opening.

The clue’s in the question. If you’re white, you’re apparently not an ‘immigrant’. But as a white, English-speaking immigrant, I get a stealthy take on how Lou friggin Dobbs has basically created a climate where ‘immigrant’ now sets up a slippery slope in people’s minds towards ‘illegal’ and ‘criminal’ and ‘terrorist’.

Why would a white blogger care about immigration in Chicago?
Well aside from Hispanics, and Polish people. Chicago does have a bunch of Irish undocumented workers who the MSM completely ignores because they pass.
Immigration is a racial issue because it is frame that way by the MSM.
The MSM completely ignores white undocumenteds, perhaps because they don’t expect the laws to be applied to them.
When was the last time Irish bars in Chicago were raided by INS?
I would love to ask this reporter why not! If everyone is equal under the law? I would love to ask this reporter about the Media being objective about the immigration issue.
There are White and light skinned muslims they are not all brown some are black, but an Al Queida who trained to come to America and learn English to do so would have a hard time hidding amoung the undocumented.

The Brown Hispanic comunity is then one of the safest spots from Al Quieda. They can’t speak the language and we don’t have anything of value they can blow up.

I am, most definitely. I am a white, and was not subjected to “quota” problems and I feel deeply sorry for those being discriminated against. It is wrong that I should have no problems but others should be judged by their skin and language.
