Tester is my Senator, I supported him and gave him a lot of money. I have informed him, however, I will never give him another dime. He ran against the war and that’s why he won. MT. was a red state, but it’s very much against the Iraq war. In local elections last week, 2 cities voted by 65% to send resolutions to their Congressmen (Tester) to immediately end the war. Tester has given everyone the line he must’ve learned from Steny, that he has to vote to support the troops. He knows that line is BS and so does everyone in MT. His office has been inundated with angry calls every time he votes to give W. money. I guess he thinks Baucus is right, try to play things down the middle.

For Tester to blame us stupid, retarded voters for not knowing the difference between supporting the troops and killing the troops is insulting. My 12 year old kid knows that giving W. any money is dangerous. I will never support him again since he has never done ANYTHING to actually stop the war. I know a lot of Montanans who are ex-Tester supporters.

Neither Howie nor I drink. The wine glasses were actually on the other side of the table and it was a bit of an optical illusion in the photo. We were having a very good time, though.

Got a pledge/envelope in the mail last week – they must have called the house and jangled DH’s brains (because he has since signed the pledge). It is sitting here, on my desk, waiting for me to find words enough to tell them how despicable they are.

A couple of days ago Peterr had a great comment about responding to these guys. I got a letter from Pelosi today and utilized as much of Peterr as I could remember: “No brains, no guts, no money from me.”

This was after I had added a sentence saying “And you expect me to send $$$ to someone who was in my neighborhood fund-raising for Al Wynn last weekend. Not. Gonna. Happen.”

Dodd said he’d vote against Mukasey, though, and that wouldn’t have put him on the good list for Reid’s people when they were selling out negotiating whatever deal they set up.

I’d sure like to hear those excuses, though. Surely they know that?

true enough. i can see lots of possibilities.

and i’m with you – i want to hear what the candidates have to say about missing the vote (clinton gets points here for saying she had a scheduling conflict – she didn’t blame it on any one else, and owns up to it not being as important to her as what ever else she had planned).

they’ll know we want to know if we keep calling and asking for answers. that’s what i’m going to do and i hope others will too.
