Here’s the Sunday talking head line-up for this morning. Some interesting choices and some utterly predictible bookings:
C-Span’s Washington Journal — 7:45am – Jan Scruggs, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, President & Founder; 8:30am – Newspaper Article & Viewer Calls; 9am – Brian Freil, National Journal, Reporter | Article; 9:30am – Caroline Wadhams, Center for American Progress, National Security Analyst | Report.
ABC’s “This Week” — Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice; Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT); architect Maya Lin, designer of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
CBS’ “Face the Nation” — Former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AR), and Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX).
NBC’s “Meet the Press” — Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL).
CNN’s “Late Edition” — Richard Armitage, former deputy secretary of State; John Bolton and Richard Holbrooke, former U.S. ambassadors to the United Nations; Sen. Joe Biden, (D-DE); Army Command Sgt. Maj. Marvin Hill and Command Sgt. Maj. Neil Ciotola.
“Fox News Sunday” — Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM), and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ).
One wonders if Blitzer will bother asking Armitage about his outing of Valerie Plame Wilson and what he coughed up to keep his ass out of the indicted chair. But I’m not exactly holding my breath on that one. Lots of Presidential race blah-bity-blah today — but will it be substantive or just more of the same gotcha superficiality? Guess we’ll see.
This morning’s shot is of an evening grosbeak from Julie’s Magic Light Show. I just love this picture — great capture.

Good morning Christy
Good morning, Christy.
Good Morning Christy and MM and Lindy!
I have a vivid memory of walking across the campus in Eugene Oregon, just visiting, overwhelmed by a hundred and twenty three million evening grosbeaks. All on a berry binge.
What an image!
My prediction is more of the same gotcha superficiality. Makes me sad.
Elliott @ 3
Good morning Elliot
After all it is all about the berry sometimes.
I wish someone would ask the Presidential candidates this morning about Juan Cole’s suggestion to give to you local homeless shelter as a way to support the troops this veterans day.
any news/update on why senator dodd wasn’t present for the mukasey vote?
Good morning, Christy, wonderful bird photo.
selise @ 8
it’s dated Nov 9th and you’ve probably seen it, but since you are mentioned in the comments (in big letters too!) just to make sure here’s the link:
I’m Not Blaming Dodd update
Elliott @ 3
We only get the evening grosbeaks occasionally, so I was excited to spot them in the yard that day. They’d shown up a week or so before but I didn’t get the picture. That morning, I got home and pulled out the camera because there had been a pileated woodpecker and our resident red-shouldered hawk hanging out in the yard so I figured I should be ready. Wasn’t expecting the grosbeaks at all, but I heard a funny sound from one of the trees and suddenly spotted one, then another. If there hadn’t been the male with the female, I might not have been able to ID it– the males (as in this picture) are vivid yellow and black, with a little white. The females are silvery with a little yellow and harder to figure out.
As an aside, I’ve still been on a writing binge, posting a series of diaries on Daily Kos: The Long View, focusing on creativity, problem solving and looking beyond the obvious.
So, no Kucinich on impeachment, eh? Not like that was an important moment to the democrats. Perhaps they should have Pelosi and Reed on to talk about the cave-in on Mukasey and the non-binding “get out of Iraq” bill. *sigh*
Here’s a little ditty ’bout Chuck & Diane our bestest enablers.
JulieWaters @ 11
who doesn’t love a little surprise!
As a bird observer and photographer, do you think the fall migrations have been delayed this year or do they seem on schedule?
Elliott @ 15
I haven’t been watching birds for long enough to have a good sense of that. I’ll have a better record in a couple years.
Hope Rice will be talking about Pakistan.

Per NPR a few minutes ago, Gen Mush said at press conference: elections will be held in Jan (not Feb); state of emergency will continue, to ensure peaceful elections; and, supreme court justices will not be reinstated (some confusing language about oaths).
Prolly ok w/preznit, so long as he takes off his uniform — professional jealousy?
Christy how do I send you pix of swans?
In a fair and democratic society, someone would have had Kucinich on. But, alas…it’s the corporations that run the airwaves and as long as the money’s good, we’ll get “more of the same”.
selise — Greg Sargeant had some information on all of the Presidentials and what happened with that vote yesterday, if I remember correctly. I’ll see if I can dig up a link — but it had a lot to do with Reid’s office not properl;y notifying any of them that they were needed back for a vote, as I remember it, so none of them knew it was going to be immediately called. And I’m hearing behind-the-scenes that there was a deal cut with McConnell on continuing resolutions for expenses in exchange for the vote — so, in other words, we got nothing for it. But I’m still digging on details on that, so it’s still rumor level until I can chase down some concrete confirmations.
Will see if I can find the link from Greg in a sec, as soon as I make The Peanut some toast…
Christy Hardin Smith @ 20
don’t worry about the links if they are these – one, two. i read them and commented on both. and i don’t buy it, reid said he hoped to dispose of the mukasey matter thursday night in his morning schedule briefing to the senate.
the deal with mcconnell was reported early friday morning by cq – i don’t think that’s a secret.
i was hoping for a statement from dodd… haven’t seen it and wondering if i’ve missed it.
Elliott @ 10
actually, i hadn’t seen it – thank you!
i always seem to be behind on my reading!
anyway, there’s no statement from dodd – and i disagree with ian’s characterization of reid’s morning statement. just left a long comment there to explain my current thinking. wish there weren’t so many missing pieces – a statement from dodd would be most helpful.
Christy Hardin Smith @ 20

Mornin’ everybody. My little, teeny good news comes from my home state where Jim Saxton announced he’s not running for reelection. He’s one of the guys who pissed me off royally by voting to sustain Fuctard’s SCHIP veto. I just couldn’t believe all the NJ Republicans stuck with Bush – might have been one defection, I forget). But I can remember when Republican in NJ were more progressive than Democrats where I live now. Good riddance, Saxton. Bum.

Good morning all…OT ….a “lovely” article by hack Isikoff telling us how Big Dog and Mellon-Sciafe are NOW mutual admirers. How wonderful isn’t it????? Wonder what the REAL deal is, don’t you?

Looks like Pakistan will be a major topic — and its relationship to Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, etc. Rice (who will dodge any question about why the Bush foreign policy is in shambles, so she’ll want to talk about Israel/Palestine conference next month), Biden (who hasn’t said anything coherent on Pakistan yet), Armitage (who told Musharraf you’re either with us or agin us), McCain (who says we’re winning in Iraq, so don’t ask about Pakistan). Huckabee will be asked if he’s seen a globe. Obama will be asked if he’s seen Hillary, and if he’s so much smarter than she has, what should we do about Pakistan?
I predict Obama will compete with Biden and Rice for using the most words to say the least substance.
selise @ 26
Looks like I gotta stay up, selise.
I think those are the links on the Muckasey vote. I was just reading that last night. I’m just shaking my head. Words escape me presently. Harry Reid ………
But Christy’s right. If Blitzer doesn’t ask Armitage about Plame…. truly pathetic. After all he was “the” leaker.
I am thinking about opening up a new business. Perhaps I’ll name it ‘planting questions dot com’.
Beerfart Liberal @ 29
yeah, me too.
Beerfart Liberal @ 30
Of course the Wolfman will have to bring it up. He’ll lob Armitage a softball and let him shovel some bullshit and Wolf will accept it obediently.
Didn’t Rove employ the device of planting questions and questioners?
JulieWaters @ 12
wow. wow. wow.
please, friends, read this one (and be thankful if you have youtube so you can listen).

AP – The race for the Democratic presidential nomination moved into overdrive Saturday, as candidates scrambled to outdo each other to win over the Iowa activists who will leadoff the contest on Jan. 3.
g’morning firedogs!
christy and Jane, I want to REALLY thank you for having Naomi Wolfe here to blog with us yesterday for what I think might be one of the very most important threads we have had to date
our nation is under siege from within, it’s a slow death and that’s what’s making the over through successful
Naomi points this out to us and really helps to drive home the danger.
Oklahoma kiddo @ 31
that’s a pretty good idea kiddo!
we as a people are gonna have to take notice, not just the firedogs but the entire country, we don’t have much time
I think one of the first steps we have to take is using the term “fascist party” whenever we manage to get a call in on corporate media, whenever we referance the administration, we have to begin the debate from here because corporate media won’t bring it up unless they think it’s part of everyday language, and that’s what we have to do, we have to bring fascism in every day conversation
anyway, another gorgous day here in lawn guy land and I will try to play some tennis today
Ann in AZ @ 36
I’m going to sub-contract to the Clinton campaign.
Do you think Bob Schieffer will ask Huckleberry about his own personal “Willie Horton” lookalike?
selise @ 35
If you don’t have youTube, you can still listen to a lot of my music via my mp3 archive.
That’s what I mean when people even talk about impeachment. Harry Reid? Handle an impeachment? (That’s assuming Pelosi could get 2/3 in the House. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Guess I’m still dreamin’. Haven’t had coffee yet.) Knucklehead would say something like “Impeachment is such a grave measure, I’m not gonna do nuthin’ political and everybody should just vote their conscience.” Then he’d do it. But again. Impeachment? Wake up, Beerfart.
Why do I not see HRC on the talking head circuit. After all, some perhaps would argue that the Senator is a talking head.
“WHAT IS FASCISM”
me thinks that would make a GREAT blog entry for one of the world class writers here at the lake
perris @ 45
We should invite Dave Neiwert and Sara Robinson for that one.
tristero offers a view on the Scaife/Clinton luncheon.
I have been screaming fascism for more than a year. Seems like it takes a Wolfe to get some to notice what is going down.
I want to handle planting questions for the Clinton campaign with all profits going to charity. And then I’m going to vote against the Senator in the primary. Power and money are one thing. Principles are quite another.
And by the way Perris, you can’t take away fascism bit by bit. It’s a one way ratchet and to break free, you need a real revolution, BIG time do over. Legislation is not gonna cut it.
JulieWaters @ 42
The first one was excellent and something of which we periodically need to be reminded. You know. I mean, Barney Frank doesn’t wanna do it, so somebody has to check on us fringe types and make sure we’re OK.
The numbers are so low for Republicans and my party that many may choose to stay home on election day.
SanderO @ 50
just as there must be some level of sc^al^sm, there really must always be some level of fascism
without soc^al projects there would be no roads, no schools, no water in your house
the same is true for fascism, private industry has to be involved in public works in order for public works to be as stream lined as possible
was we must do is to bring these fascists to the bar of justice for the crimes they have committed, then we need to rescind the changes they’ve made to our country
I think that plays in peoria
SanderO @ 48
you have lots of company. long time commenter kathryn in ma used the “f” word in a discussion with we had with an aide of senator kerry’s a more than a year and a half ago.
juliewaters i truly enjoyed ‘lost language’ thank you
I believe that there are occasions when one might want to resort to fighting fire with fire. But planting questions come under the heading of “dirty tricks”.
Corporate capitalism is not fascism.
Capitalism can work in a democracy, but fascism cannot.
We live in a fig leaf democracy which covers the fascism underneath.
Happy veterans day all you doggie vets!
ok…. so, no public statement from senator dodd yet? maybe he will get asked about it this morning.
raven @ 58
Happy Veteran’s Day to you, Raven!
Did Dodd get gamed on the Mukasey vote? How did that whole thing go down in the middle of the night? Wasn’t he going to filibuster it?
Mabel’s Wig Shack @ 55
Thanks. That’s a piece I’ve been playing with for years now; the recording isn’t high quality, but it works well enough. Eventually I’ll record it with some percussionists. I’m not sure if I’ll try it on baritone guitar instead of standard, but it will be fun either way.
SanderO @ 57
corporate ownership of the commons is fascism, corporations cannot be the sole provider of commons, commons are sevices our society relies on to survive, roads, water works, bridges, schools…things like these are commons, when corporations control the commons that is fascist
I’d ask Armitage about his associate Paul Jureidini and whether he had anything to do with the State Department granting Security Contracts for Diplomats in Iraq to Blackwater…or contracting with Grunley Walsh International to build the Baghdad Embassy and consulates in Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Gabon.
Robert Farah, Paul Jureidini and Robert K. Kelley are the key players to taking control of Grunley Walsh International (according to documents), which won almost $1 billion in State Department contracts for embassy and consulate construction. First Kuwaiti General Trading and Contracting is the prime subcontractor to the three new contracts….as well as the “Vaticanate of Iraq”.
First Kuwaiti is the firm that has been charged with shabby construction, slave-labor abuse, worker smuggling, poor security and briber of Iraqi officials.
Lebanese-American Robert Farah was the former Washington, D.C. representative of First Kuwaiti. Farah is also the former information officer and Secretary for Political Affairs for the right-wing “Lebanese Forces” militia from 1986-2001. In June 2006 Farah contributed $25,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee just as he was about to purchase Grunley Walsh International and soon after Grunley landed the Baghdad embassy contract with First Kuwaiti as its prime subcontractor.
Paul Jureidini has been an associate of Armitage and Associates for many years. His involvement with Grunley Walsh and First Kuwait suggests political influence brokering with the State Department via Armitage’s contacts.
Some argue that fascism is an economic system in which private industry is controlled by an authoritarian government.
Perris that is part of fascism but it’s more ain’t it?
perris @ 63
disagree.
Oklahoma kiddo @ 40
You’ll get rich!!! Bwahahahaha!
SanderO @ 66
the term has evolved for sure and we agree
It’s pretty clear that the right is all about crony capitalism and getting into gov to plunder the treasury. Look at the waste and profiteering on the MIC and the Iraqi quagmire. It’s a free for all for the unprincipled greedy to feast on our taxes (and our children’s).
perris @ 69
i liked the way david neiwert wrote about facism in his series that begins here.
but perhaps you mean something else when you use the word?
Tomorrow we celebrate Veterans Day. I wonder how many happy Vets we have today. I am advised that one in four veterans from the Iraq war is homeless.
I support the troops. I want them all home now.
I will go to Navajo Cemetary about ten miles from here tomorrow, and put flowers on my father’s grave and those of his two brother’s. They all saw action in WW II. We will never forget you guys.
speaking of fascism why is it that radicals like Hugo Chavez sound like our Founding Fathers? To wit:
“I do not offend by telling the truth,” he (Chavez) said. “The Venezuelan government reserves the right to respond to any aggression, anywhere, in any space and in any manner.”
Cuban Vice President Carlos Lage backed Chavez, saying that “a president’s legitimacy stems not only from his election by voters … he must also be legitimate in the exercise of power.”
I think it was Jefferson who liked the phrase “with the consent of the governed.” But then, he may have borrowed that from Locke.
btw, I’ve been kinda busy lately. Hope y’all have been having a good time.

I was reading wiki on mussilini and I get to a quote of his, bolds are MINE;
TiredFed! good to see you!
Veterans Day is an American holiday honoring military veterans. Both a federal holiday and a state holiday in all states, it is celebrated on the same day as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in other parts of the world, falling on November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. (Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice.)
I believe Veep Dick had “other priorities” rather than serving in ‘Nam.
Oklahoma kiddo @ 94
Yea, grad school at Wisconsin.
Busy is great. Hitting my peak years. The kids at work call me “the guru.” maybe I should change my moniker. Nah.
eg. planning more boot shopping. maybe for 3-5 year tour. if it works out, you would have a friendly face for stopovers.
My family doesn’t “celebrate” Veteran’s Day. We remember. Dad was WWII, bro was VN. Both are gone. Family goes back to Revolutionary War hereabouts and I grew up in Concord, Mass. We have lots to remember. We firmly believe the sacrifices were worth it; now, not so much. Every Iraq update is painful.
Slogging thru Risen’s book last night. Never heard about the 30 Iraq families that tried to ferret out info on WMD and came up dry – before the “war” even started. Why are these guys still in office?
Almost four thousand American soldiers killed in Iraq. My God.
Oklahoma kiddo @ 85
I think that’s a major insult to Musharraf.
TiredFed @ 96
You are right in a way. Veteran’s Day if for the living, Memorial Day is for those who are not.
JulieWaters @ 98
musharraf is a major?
I thought he was a general
And how many deferments did the Vice President receive during ‘Nam? Five. I think.
perris @ 100
Fine. It’s a general insult to Musharraf.

Howard Annis Kurtz, gooper trophy husband earned his keep today.
raven @ 99
I’m right there with you, Raven. I guess I prefer the word “honor” rather than “celebrate.” I was too young (by about a year) for VN, but my oldest brother served, my brother-in-law as well. And my best friend’s oldest brother died in ‘68. We can’t honor them enough, but we can sure try.
perris @ 104
You just made my day :)
Wow! Krugman is AWESOME!!!!!
He’s making the point that it really is all about race. And we’re winning.

Yep.
CBS Sunday Morning showing monarch butterflies on migration to Mexico. Great Central Flyway seems behind schedule around here. And are there evening grosbeaks now, not just in memory? Ours disappeared about 3-4 years ago. We see our first red-bellied woodpecker and cardinals now, but it’s just not the same.
Riesz Fischer @ 41
No.
It’ll go like this:
Bob: Governor, you don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell. Why are you even running?
Huck: Well, people might tire of Guliani’s crazy, and they’ll need to go somewhere. Why not join Hucksters for Huckabee?
Ron: Me! Me!
Bob: What?
Ron: If you want a new kind of crazy, come to me! All you get over in Guliani’s house of cards is stale, old, Forties-style, Mussolini-scented crazy! I got the fresh crazy! Krazy Ron’s House of Krazy is open for bidness! Everyone’s welcome! Dope smokers! Bible thumpers! Flat earthers! It’s the Crazytown Big Tent!
Huck: Ah, hell, I got nuthin’.
Obama questioned by Timmeh. More chaff than substance.
I’m still of the Edwards/Obama -08 persuasion.
did anyone watch senator dodd on “this week”?
Prairie Sunshine @ 113
I like Edwards way more than the others too. I don’t know why he’s trailing so badly. He’s just what we need.
‘Bindeez’ toy beads made in china filled with chemical when moistened morphs into date rape drug.
pretty soon there will be a remembrance day for children who fell in the service of free trade.
NAFTAmemorial day: for those who gave their children that corporations may profit mightily.
I had a nice thought the other day: I was listening to Clay Johnson drone on about doing right by the American people (I know he really only meant certain American people, like owners of oil companies) and realized I didn’t really have to listen to him any more. He and his boss are lame ducks. The last Bush budget is still working its way through Congress (we still don’t have any appropriations for the year that started Oct 1st). Bush will submit a budget for FY 2009 next February, but it will be ignored and Congress will recess for the election with a continuing resolution for most if not all of FY 2009. So we wait him out. I know its not much, but it was a nice thought.
selise @ 105
Not that I know of.
raven @ 58
Back atcha there raven!
dakine01 @ 119
Well, with my birthday yesterday, a great win by the Bulldogs and my Fighting Illini beating #1 Ohio State I’m choppin in high cotton this am!
Krugman is very hopeful about the rise of progressivism. It’s very reassuring after that Naomi Wolf thead last night. (Not a slam against Ms. Wolf)
Riesz Fischer @ 115
He’s refusing to say things that people want to hear just to get elected. I admire it, and I hope it doesn’t kill his campaign.
He’s also holding back on ads, waiting to use his comparatively small war chest until closer to the actual primaries, so he’s not getting boosts from ads that Clinton and Obama are getting right now.
Oklahoma kiddo @ 72
OKK, for what it’s worth, TODAY is Veteran’s Day and when you should be visiting the cemetary. Tomorrow is just the associated day off since it falls on Sunday this year.
Riesz Fischer @ 109
And you can catch the last 20 minutes of his appearance on Book TV at C-SPAN here.
Hey raven, happy birthday!
raven @ 118
Memorial Day has special handling of the flag – half staff until noon to honor those who died then full staff for the rest of the day.
Krugman would be fired from the timmes if he was as alarmist as Naomi Wolfe. he may be in off the record private conversations, but he is trying to see the positive side. After all he is a professor and they do a priori believe in the future, that there will be one.
dakine01 @ 123
(Observed) is how they state it. In 37 years since I have been a vet I don’t think I have ever worked anywhere where it was an official holiday. The University System of Georgia recognizes neither Veterans nor Memorial Day. Yee haw.
I’m almost finished with Valerie Plame’s book & was amused by Joe Wilson’s encounter with Judith Miller on election day 2004 when she introduced herself to Joe. Judith was positive Kerry would win, “Don’t worry. Its all over, a done deal”.
She’s had an astonishingly bad call track record, something she has in common with the white house.
egregious @ 125
Fangs alot!
dakine01 @ 123
I understand that. But thank you for the reminder.
3 million dead vietnamese.
raven @ 128
It is a recognized federal holiday although often considered a “minor” one (New Year’s Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are the “major” holidays)
Did you ever see the Mike Royko column on Veteran’s Day?
raven @ 118
ok, thanks. i’m going to put up my american flag now.
this is my everyday flag,
and this is my american flag.
do not want to offend, but it’s what i need to do now-a-days.
dakine01 @ 133
You got a copy?
raven @ 128
University of Florida recognizes both. When I was at University of Alabama, I think they recognized both, as well, plus Confederate Veteran’s Day, which was the compromise that got MLK Day to be a state holiday.
When did Veteran’s Day quit being Armistice Day? And what did Memorial Day start out as?
selise @ 134
shocking
Perhaps take a gander at this pix if you get a chance.
WASHINGTON – Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice urged Pakistan’s military ruler on Sunday to lift the state of emergency as soon as possible, expressing concern that Gen. Pervez Musharraf has not set a time limit for restoring citizens’ rights.

lol, happy b-day man!
Fresh thread, up and running…
New thread, Firepups.
cleter @ 136
Don’t recall when the Armistice Day to Veterans Day change occurred but it may have been when they morphed Memorial Day, Washington/Lincoln’s B’days (President’s Day) and Columbus’ B’day from the actual days originally observed to the closest Monday.
I believe Memorial Day has always been Memorial Day since it was first established to honor those killed during the Civil War.
Krugman said that after the election “…I don’t believe this gang will be in power anymore.” It was in response to a question about Bush relinquishing power in 2008.
tw3k @ 141
Truth be told I am not a huge birthday fan. Making it to 58 was way more than I had thought I would.
raven @ 135
This will take you to a copy only link I could find not to a sub set of Pajamas Media
edit: Royko’s words begin with “I just phoned six friends and asked them what they will be doing on Monday. …”
raven @ 146
same here, I hate birthdays. I doubt I’ll make it to 58 too so good on ya!
raven @ 146
well, your fans (that would be us *g*) are happy for you on your day!
Okay, I gotta run– it’s been nice chatting with everyone but I’ve got a lot of yard work to do this morning and I’ve got a gig scheduled tonight, so, busy busy busy. Everyone have a great day!
Remembrances of past. November 11, 1979, playing “Last Post and Revellry” on trumpet for the Fallen Heroes who died in North Africa and are buried in Bhenghazi, Libya.
Dec.2,1979, American Embassy in Tripoli bombed as Gaddafi allied himself with Ayatolla Khomeini at the fall of the Shah of Iran.
28 years later is Musharref the new Shah?
Good Morning Everyone.
I love your everyday flag selise.
Thanks for the reminder. I must go refresh the poor scraggly yellow ribbon at the end of our driveway again. And maybe put up a fresher flag – although, embarrassingly, it was made in China, and the colors have held up better than the big fancy flags bought by the township trustees.
Then I must replace the almost totally whitened (age, not abuse) ribbon and “Support the Troops. Bring Them Home.” sign in our car window. Somehow, for me it’s been more eloquent as it faded color, serving as a strong reminder that this odious fake “war on terrah” drags on and on and on, with no end in sight.
20060120 can’t come soon enough for me.
Thank you Julie for the bright spot today. Those birdies never get to our neck of the woods, but my sweetie grew up seeing them a-plenty. Their prodigious appetites and tendency to be very social nearly drove his dad nuts, heh.

OK kid, does this mean November 11 doesn’t mean anything in the USA anymore? Not a holiday?
Watching CondoTanker explain Pakistan to the rabble presently. She seems to be shaking her head “no,” less today – does that mean she is lying less, or has she been learning how to overcome her “tell.” When George asked Condom about Mush’s legitimacy in relation to how he has manipulated the court, through firings and appointments, that sustains his position, it sounded like he was describing the President of the Failed Nation to my south (I’m in British Colombia).
There’s seems to be a real problem with flies at the Crawford White House West. I’m not surprised as I’ve noticed that flies tend to be attracted to Crap!
Personally I think that Darth Cheney and the First Fool are watching the situation in Pakistan very closely, not because they give much of a hoot. They are looking for pointers on how to do it when they “need” to impose martial law in the USA. You know, see what works for Bushareff and learn from any mistakes he makes.
I caught the Ron Paul interview on CBS Face The Nation this morning. I think I’ll celebrate Veterans Day by making a $$ contribution to his campaign…Support the troops!
