I can never understand how OB/Gyn’s like Ron Paul and Tom Coburn can take such punitive stands against choice. I guess when you look below the surface, you will find a male who is afraid and/or hates women.

I just met a very nice guy last week on my travels. Turned out he was a Catholic Priest of the Benedictine Order.Somehow the conversation turned to the issues of faith and reason…and things got a bit dark. He started trying to suggest that only the Catholic faith actually had a rational “faith”. And that “relativism” was the major problem in the world. I said that while there might be universal “truths” one had to realize that others had different experiences and facts and backgrounds that influenced what they considered truth. You could try to enlighten them by providing additional information and reason with them…but one still had to give them the freedom to make their own judgements. I gave as an example a woman’s right to choose…to decide.

He then reached into a bag…pulled out a pair of tiny silver feet on a silver chain. He said “THAT’s A Six WEEK OLD Foetus”.

I then opened my laptop, pulled up a site that showed actual embryological images of human foetuses…found the six week level…and displayed it. I said, “NO THIS IS A SIX WEEK FOETUS”. You’ve shown my some feet…at a later stage.”

I will be hosting a SF Bay Area Nor Cal Central Cal fire pup meet up at the little cottage by the creek in the redwoods on 11/17, Sat afternoon until it is over. Since I live in the temperate rain forest known as Boulder Creek, I thought an hors d’oeuvres potluck would be a good event to be able to transition indoors from the deck in case of rain. Soft drinks provided – bring other beverages of choice with you.

I wish…No can do. I think maybe we need to plan long term for a major meet up. I would so love to meet everyone! Maybe at Yellowstone? Someplace central for a Major Meet-up. Before the 2008 election…hee hee.

Well, sounds to me like something got all screwed up. Did you love her, Steve? Did you try to make it work?

Yes and she came in second to my job..I am surprised that she hung in for 27 years. Of course the last 10 were planning the pay back. It all worked out for the best, she was happy with her boyfriend and six months later I got picked up by a 28 yo blond.

I mean, we know he can’t be Prez and wipe his ass, but egads.

I think the world is finally wising up to Bush, except for the dimwitted French munchkin.
