Recall in both States are for State officers, not Federal positions. In fact it’s Unconstitutional to recall Federal elected officers. There is no provision for recall within the Constitution. A member of Congress can only be removed from that office by a vote of their peers expelling them.

Dennis Kucinich will not be allowed by the party to win the Presidency. However, if we push for House Rule IX to be used to unseat Pelosi, and make Kucinich Speaker, we can impeach and indict, then Kucinich will be able to push for the reforms we want as interim President. Then either run him as the incumbant in the ground swell of popularity, or sign him on with Edwards or Obama as VP.

Then let’s get rid of her and put someone in as Speaker who will impeach Bush!

I hadn’t thought of that question, but if we’re to have a strategy which will be most effective, then we should have a fairly specific final goal in mind.

We should, of course, aim to have a clear majority of Progressive Dems. Should we also aim for a specific person to lead?

Considering that whoever wins this primary will win the general (unless Al pulls an RGJoe and runs on the Maryland for Wynn ticket) wouldn’t Nancy Pelosi rather have a non-obstructionist Democrat in the seat?

It’s a blue district of working people who favor impeaching the President. What other districts are like that, but represented by Bush-enabling Democrats? Oh, California’s Eighth District!

Based on my experience with the leadership of that most democratic of organizations, a labor union, I am of the opinion Bush Dogs serve the Speaker’s purpose. She can hide behind them. She, like my union, loved a good excuse to do nothing for the membership (but they were a shark collecting dues!)

And of course she protects incumbents – she is one!

The irony boggles my mind when I consider what that old Robber Baron, Vanderbilt, had to say:

“The public be damned!”

That’s pretty much what the Speaker means.

You bet I will give money to the democrats who will actually act like democrats but I would like to know who it is that represents us, the labor force of America.

Who is going to restructure our trade policies so that they protect American labor, it certainly wasn’t a favor that bill clinton did with nafta and cafta and all the other alphabet soup bs. The left is no longer the left but mainly right of center and that is not good enough for me or anybody else who actually works for a living.

I am sixty five turning sixty six on saturday and
I will be working til I die, my SS is not enough and medicare covers some but not all of my medical expenses, and I am already in collection for two nice sized bills. Not looking for sympathy or anything else just giving an example of our phoque up system.

My point would be to ask all of you who it is that addresses these issues which should be right at the top of any Democratic party platform because they are the only ones that I would give money to.

I’m hoping my dollars will make more of an impression than my words. Maybe some of our more wealthy netizens could steal a page for public radio and offer a dollar-for-dollar match for Donna Edwards’ campaign during Congressperp (to coin a term) Wynn’s next fundraiser.
