So, I don’t know about you guys, but I was wondering how long, exactly, it would take for American Right Wingers to realize how much they have in common with real, live fascists, rather than the “Islamo-Fascists” they made up and built a cottage industry around. Self-awareness has never been the strong suit of the Right, whether it’s Dinesh D’Lusional waxing on about how maybe the terrorists who attacked the US on 9/11 have a point when it comes to gays and feminists or whether it’s David Horowitz, a college professor who is mounting a national tour of universities and colleges to explain to the world how higher learning is bad and is warping our children by teaching them to think critically and analytically instead of jumping on a chair and squealing like frightened schoolgirls every time they spot a woman in a hijab.
As part of Horowitz’s week-long nationwide orgy of racism, religious hatred, and scare-mongering, the Young America’s Foundation invited controversial British National Party hack Nick Griffin to speak on the campus at Michigan State University. Griffin is sort of an English Tom Tancredo who wholeheartedly believes that white people are genetically superior to other races:
At Michigan State University Friday, Nick Griffin, the leader of the British National Party who was convicted in 1998 for incitement of racial hatred over material denying the Holocaust, was brought to campus for a speech denouncing Islam. Griffin acknowledges having been a Holocaust denier, but says he no longer is one. His party is on record opposing black-white marriages, believing that black people are less intelligent than white people, and saying that ethnic minorities should be limited to 2-3 percent of the population of any given area in Britain.
“Professional” anti-Islamist and reality denier Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs thinks that maybe the Young America’s Foundation (which is actually a front group for the far, far right Young Americans for Freedom) has gone a bridge too far:
In the boneheaded move of the year, conservative student group Young Americans for Freedom invited British National Party (BNP) leader Nick Griffin, a flat-out racist and Holocaust denier, to speak about the dangers of Islam at Michigan State University: Protesters shout down anti-Islam speaker at MSU.
It’s not clear from the article whether this was part of Islamofascism Awareness Week or not, but if it was, the Young Americans for Freedom have just handed the enemy a huge gift on a platter, tied up with a lovely white supremacist bow.
That’s right, kids. Li’l Chuckie Greenballs doesn’t think it’s necessarily cricket to wear your Klan robes over your three piece suit. You’ve got to keep that shit on the down-low or “The Enemy” (That’s us, kids! Yay!) will start making the connections and realize that all the Right’s bowing and scraping to “Uh-Merika” and “Free-dum” are really public service announcements for the racist fringe.
That got Young America’s Foundation leader Kyle Bristow into something of a snit and provoked him to state the following about one of the cornerstones of Right Wing Islamophobia and race hate, Little Green Footballs:
MSU-YAF Denounces Little Green Footballs for Being Prissy RINOs
The Little Green Footballs blog decided to condemn MSU-YAF for hosting Nick Griffin. In case you do not read Little Green Footballs, the blog is pro-Muslim, left-wing, politically correct, and basically a front for neoconservative foreign policy (instead of defending their culture, they want to build schools in the Anbar province). They are basically a puppet of the multiculturalists and believe that Islam is not the enemy of Western civilization and Christendom. Only Bush-bots read the Little Green Footballs blog.
Them’s fightin’ words, pilgrim. Next thing you know, you’ll be accusing Johnson of being in bed with al Qaeda.
LGF and Al Qaeda both have something in common: they hate Western civilization and those who stand up for it.
Um…BWA-HA-HAAAAAAA!!!
Ahem.
I’m trying to figure out what would be an appropriate, “Welcome the America-Hatin’ Neighborhood” gift for Charles, here. A makeover? (He sure needs it, seeing as how he dresses like a Halloween costume of a vicious hangover…in 1977.) A Google Map of directions to Michelle Malkin’s house and the license plate numbers of her family vehicles? A basket of gourmet items from France? Help me out, guys.
Of course, I think the real reason that the white supremacist crowd now hates LGF so much is because of the shame Johnson and his fellow travelers are bringing on the White Race every day. Seriously, one look at LGF’s comment threads provides more than ample evidence that white people aren’t genetically or intellectually superior to a stack of ice trays, much less whole other races.
Ergo, they must be stopped.

Hope you’re fully recovered from the creepy crud, TRex. Maybe you should lay off the ciggies….
Seriously, hope you’re feeling better.

nearly first! How are you feeling TRex, better I hope!
g’evening TRex

TRex!
TREX!
Trex!! How’s the back?
OK, you’re obviously feeling better. And I’m way smarter than an ice cube tray, since I figured that out. My first zed ever, BTW….
These guys are going to reach a real critical mass real soon now, leading to mushroom clouds. Yuk.
“genetically superior to a stack of ice trays”
heh! Bringin’ the snark, even in pain!
How ya doin’ Trex? Full report, please!!
jb, congratulations on a losing your zedginity.
Fuckery! Fuckery most heinous!
That’s my artistic interpretation of David Horowitz getting up in the morning.
I actually read the post before commenting, which always puts one in the double-digits.
Good one, O Therapod!

Was it good for you, too?
Can’t believe I said that…..
Hiya TRex!!!!

Ooh, trex — we missed you, dino. Been running really low on snark lately. So, is Charles lookin’ to guest blog here anytime soon? Hold forth on his love for all things dark and swarthy?
msmolly @ 11
Hanging in there. I’m back at work for the first time tonight, a little rusty, but back in the saddle. I’m still pretty stiff and sore. I hate taking the Flexerils and Lortabs but I kind of have to or face another week lying in bed. I used to pay good money to feel drowsy and stupid, but these days, it’s not so much my thing.
Your points all sound good and seem to make sense until you do a little research and realize that THE POLITICAL/ECONOMIC INTERESTS BEHIND THE BUSH FAMILY ARE THE SAME FOLKS THAT ENABLED AND SUPPORTED HITLER!
Then things start to make sense.
See Nazis, crooks and murderers
George Bush Sr. may have had a much more interesting past that what appears in his official bio.
His father Prescott Bush, banker to the Nazis and grandfather of George W. Bush, sponsored the rise of an obscure California right-wing politician who socialized extensively with Nazi sympathizers: Richard M. Nixon.

Do they eat their young too?
This speaks volumes about the company David Horowitz keeps: Anne Coulter and Nick Griffith?
Formerly “Hot To Trot-sky” Horowitz is in the tank with a garden variety antisemite and a full blown holocaust denier. Just wonderful.
As if there was any doubt as to whether Horowitz is “good for the Jews” or not.
Hint: the answer isn’t “yes”.

TRex- did you catch the (relatively) local info about this?
Furor Over Anti-Islam Speaker
~~~James Wagner, Emory’s president, sent a note to the campus, criticizing how Horowitz was treated.
“Of all the principles we value at Emory University, the most fundamental is our commitment to the free and unfettered pursuit of the truth in scholarship and teaching…. When protesters repeatedly disrupt a lecture, as they did Wednesday night, resulting in its premature conclusion, they violate this most basic of all tenets in a university community,” Wagner wrote. “David Horowitz is a controversial and even, at times, a provocative speaker. However, he was received with unacceptable rudeness when he came to Emory as a guest of a legitimate campus organization, the College Republicans. For our inability to control the reception he received, we apologize.”~~~
TRex, my puppy wants to be you for halloween. Is that OK?
TRex @ 20
Funny how that works.
Great first paragraph.
madmommy @ 35
I’ve been wishing for the same thing. I feel bad about it on one level, but nothing less is likely to get Der Shrubbenfuhrer out of his protective bubble.
TRex @ 27
Yes, but they have to eat their brains to do it.
DrDick @ 42
They have brains? Coulda fooled me!
OT, but a new Zogby poll shows 52% of likely voters favor military action against Iran “if they were to acquire nuclear weapons.” It would seem that the Cheney/Bush propaganda machine is making an impact. It’s all about catapulting the propaganda and when you have a corrupt and complicit corporate media and a dumbed down populace more concerned about “Dancing with the Stars” and any other number of mindless distractions it’s not hard to see why they are successful.
DrDick @ 42
They call them “breath mints.”
Valley Girl @ 37
Groan.
Horowitz is a charlatan and a fraud. He would have done a lot better to target NASCAR fans or people who watch Jerry Springer with his “Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week” than colleges and universities, who, on the whole, exist to counter the kind of mindless drivel produced by Horowitz and his fellow travelers.
Here’s a bit of local fuckery regarding the new governor’s transition head and future chief of staff.
OT, but not completely.
Today’s mail brings a letter from my Congresscritter, the truly horrible and hopeless Ed Royce.
It is presumably in response to my phone calls urging him to vote “yes” on the SCHIP re-authorization. Calls which did not induce him to vote “yes.”
Do I dare open this missive without first having it tested for teh stoopid? I don’t wish to become infected, y’know.
Suzanne @ 28
So, I don’t know about you guys, but I was wondering how long, exactly, it would take for American Right Wingers to realize how much they have in common with real, live fascists…
They have so much in common with “live fascists” because the political/economic interests behind their agenda are, well, actually fascists…
Is this clearer?
double glove up before opening it burns – ya never know where an R congresscritter has been.
burnspbesq @ 55
Post the text. I’m sure somebody here can make it seem much funnier than it really is.
Judging from recent examples, my first thoughts would be a bordello, the pages’ dorm, and an airport restroom in Minneapolis.
burnspbesq @ 55
Just glove up and keep a bucket nearby in the event of spontaneous hurling due to teh stoopid.
And what the hell is up with the name “Little Green Footballs” anyway? Is it like some grade school code word for “boogers” that they launch across the classroom like a field goal attempt?
Yep, leads straight into littlebear’s comment . . . we can NEVER forget where the Bush family came from, or has done, anymore than we can forget Leo Strauss, and where the neocon’s have come from, or done.
Between the two, they have subverted all that was ever good about our country.
And they are facists, make NO doubt about it. Most wealthy elite are, by mandate of the golden rule. They HAVE to be facist, or they risk losing their wealth (or some part of it).
Hey CT, did you hear about this? A pity, truly.
TRex @ 46
Agree with all that you said, but, don’t forget his purpose in TARGETING the colleges and universities is to rally the right against the stinking dirty hippy liberals in their ivory free speech towers.
And as we all know, prof’s have ALREADY lost all their free speech, intellectual property rights and much of their positions of power and influence to educate students to the truth.
Now, they are under siege and attack to present intelligent design positions, as well as the Darwinist perspective . . . and this is NOT just the sciences, it’s in the com studies and Arts And Sciences as well.
OT Of Concern-TRex, you consider chiro for your injury? Or was the injury not suitable for chiro application? I swear by it, from an OTJ injury which rendered me fetal and immobile for months.
Happy healing, any way you find it thoug . . .
Valley Girl, I owe you an apology. I’m thinking the email from DiFi was about Hans von Spankeroo instead of Southwick. Sorry for the confusion. Hans hasn’t been voted on yet, so we’ll see where she stands.
I did call her office today regarding telecom immunity, and asked about her Southwick vote. She voted for him for three reasons. (Such as they are)
1. His qualities, character, service record, education and temperament during hearings.
2. The immediate need to fill this vacancy. The emergency nature of it all.
3. The hope that when there’s a future dem president, republicans will look at candidates qualities, character, service record, education and temperament during hearings.
Sorry again for sending you on a goose chase.
It fits well with what Krugman, Neiwert, and others have been saying about the real Republican political strategy. Just the “Southern strategy” warmed over and gone national. Recruit all the Little Green Racists by fear mongering about illegal immigrants, “welfare queens”, and the like, since nobody in their right mind earning less than $250K a year would vote for the real Republican agenda (concentration of all wealth and power in the hands of the top 1% of the income distribution).
Yes, but you are in the OC (where the Birchers were born IIRC).
I thought Little Green Footballs were boogers all along. The perfect gift for Charles would be a supply of Little Green Condoms and a large b*tt pl*g so he can play by himself. I saw a really huge one in the front window of a shop in Key West.
Schwarzenegger: Marijuana ‘not a drug’
SACRAMENTO, Oct. 29 (UPI) — California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted to past use of marijuana but said the substance is “not a drug. It’s a leaf.”
Schwarzenegger told a GQ magazine interviewer that he “didn’t take any drugs” and explained when asked about his past admissions of marijuana use that “that is not a drug. It’s a leaf,” The Daily Mail reported Monday.
“My drug was pumping iron, trust me,” he said.
I prefer the other drug, myself! ;-)
Um, on the topic (of the original piece, not the thread…): David Horowitz is no professor. And Griffin is nowhere near getting himself elected as an MP. They would both be powerless, and probably dribbling drunks if they weren’t jumped up by the noise machine.
My 2 cents.
It’s hard for us to tell the difference because we haven’t blown our brains out on steroids.
I’m guessing that Arnold sampled in a variety of alternative lifestyles while living in Venice Beach in the 1970’s.
Living in Illinois, I always considered Arnold to be a nasty Repug who stole his seat (all the while conspiring with Enron, Milt Friedman, et.al.). But talking to a couple of my left-leaning friends in California, they say that he isn’t that bad. Weird…
The entire process by which the state of California was ripped off was unbelievably, audaciously criminal. Starting with electricity deregulation, the Enron scam which stole billions from us, then blaming it on Gray Davis (who, while not the most thrilling Gov in history, was not the one at fault for the faux ‘energy crisis’, yet was maneuvered into taking the fall) and Darrell Issa getting him recalled over something he didn’t do, then inserting Schwarzenegger into a field of 10 candidates, so that he won with about 10% of the vote?
Utter thievery and massive fuckery.
Did everyone see today’s awesome post by Marty Lederman?
Valley Girl @ 124
That was not the same email I got. I will never again delete an email from her. She specifically said she would NOT vote for him. (I wrote about Southwick and Hans von S…)
DrDick @ 148
Here`s the poem – a fixture of remembrance day services when I was a girl – and one that I particularly dislike.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
— John McCrae
We went through hell with my granny, the will dissapeared, her dirtbag husband destroyed alot of stuff. From what we can reconstruct there’s about 100K gone missing. Granny died last year and we still can’t get into the house she paid for to get family mementos. The dirtbag sits on the front porch every day in a wife-beater tshirt holding a shotgun. Total nightmare, so mom decided to make sure there would be no questions as to how she wanted things to be.
Madmommy, does the lawyer who drew up the will have a copy?
TheOtherWA @ 157
It is never a good idea to put something on a cat that they do not want. You have to sleep sometime, and then…whamo!
Can’t find who did the will, my cousin the attorney beat the bushes for almost a year with no luck.
This always happens.
Whenever the Cons try to suck up to a particular group of non-White-Anglo-Saxon-Protestants, be they Jews, Hispanics or African-Americans, they inevitably screw the pooch by letting the mask slip long enough to reveal the fact that the Cons hate anyone who isn’t a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant.
The Cons may pretend to have a Big Tent every so often, but their Dirty Little Secret is that their no-tax stance is actually a no-social-spending-on-nonwhites stance, and their constant need to placate the racist base to which they’ve chained the GOP is scaring off their chosen targets for political assimilation.
Yep and in every over the counter medicine imaginable. Opium (usually laudanum) was the painkiller of choice (like aspirin of Tylenol today). This was the source of Marx’s famous line about religion being the opiate of the masses. Cocaine was favored in “nerve” tonics and the like (sort of like Red Bull, but with medicinal pretensions). That’s were Coca-Coal got it’s start. Both were also ubiquitous (and often combined) in elixirs for “women’s troubles”.
Giuliani still working part-time as corporate consultant
I’m watching Glen Beck so you don’t have to. He has Horowitz on. Every other word is ISLAMOFASCIST. Calling the students brownshirts and Hitler youth.
Anyone know how big of an audience this doofus has? He’s trouble.
madmommy @ 155
Yep. Not gonna even try it.
DrDick @ 135
I have; and along with her voting records and her ratings by pro-business lobbying groups and the rantings of the VRWC “Commie, pinko, socialist who wants to suck out all of the unborn babies. Somebody is in for a surprise; I am not sure who.
Never had a cat. My brother has two cats. They don’t like me. The feeling is mutual.
Steve-AR @ 161
Well what I have seen of her policy proposals, she reminds me of Ford and Nixon.
TheOtherWA and I will be meeting up on 11/3 at 3pm at:
Blue Moose
Portland, Oregon
Anyone in the area can join us…
Hi, Katy!
ReneND @ 165
Loves me some Delbert.
Steve-AR @ 132
Um, google up her campaign donars, and the campaign donars to the DLC and DNC . . . same as it ever was, I believe?
TheOtherWA @ 172
waving Hi back
TeddySanFran @ 173
That’s good to know. Thanks.
Hmmm… Lose $8 Billion, get handed a $159 Million Golden Parachute…
The head of the Wall Street investment bank Merrill Lynch was last night negotiating a severance package tipped to be as high as $159m (£77m) after a risky strategy of betting billions on American mortgage-backed securities came disastrously unstuck.
Stan O’Neal, chief executive of Merrill, has told friends that he intends to resign after losing the confidence of his boardroom colleagues following the biggest loss in the bank’s 93-year history.
Nicknamed the “thundering herd” for its bull logo, Merrill has estimated its liabilities at $7.9bn from the summer’s global financial volatility and analysts believe the figure could increase to $12bn.
Yep and that the real welfare system that is destroying our country. Just take a look at the classic case in the White House.
TheOtherWA @ 169
My personal theory is the money is buried in the backyard. He’s an illiterate chicken farmer who never had a pot to piss in, she was in beginning Alzheimers when she married him. Total nightmare. She had so many family pictures that are the only ones and we can’t get them because the judge in the county is only worried about protecting a poor old man. The same poor old man who drives around town (unliscensed and uninsured) with a gun claiming to be a deputy. Ugh.
Suzanne @ 149
Good god no!! How’d I ever infer that?
1) No email left. See above.
2) Email was in DEFENSE of her supporting Southwick and moving his nomination forward.
It was similar to the email someone above got from Sci Fi, either about Southwick or Hanz Baby . . . which I originally responded to.
I hate SciFi. Pelosi, too . . . Boxer is close to being hated.
God help me, I have voted for all 3 of them at one time or another.
Ring the help, would someone please . . . I could use a double No. 7 hiball just THINKING about my ignorance and wasted passions.
Suzanne @ 180
Alabama, totally different rules I guess. Officially she died without a will, so the dirtbag got all assets.
Well, it’s an early night for me. Have to get up early to get my blood sucked out in the morning. Take care and enjoy the snark.
DrDick @ 184
Goodnight, don’t let them take it all ;0)
madmommy @ 182
Outrageous! The DA or police chief know about this bum?
ReneND @ 167
Atrios follows his ratings. They suck rocks, but CNN keeps him on because they’re afraid the righties would firebomb their corporate headquarters or something.
The question is, “Who is using whom (who)? I don’t know..but I think, both she and Bill learned a major lesson in 1980, when Bill became the youngest ex-governor in history. Bill, with that Yankee and furin education and Hillary, the DFH from up North, got too far ahead of the electorate and were hammered. They never made that mistake again until health care; a big reminder.
katymine @ 174
katymine, we lost you! Another time, and you guys have fun. Three FDL meet-ups on the same day. Oregon, Costa Mesa, and Central Texas. Cool.
Seem to me that our side is getting pretty good at firebombing also. It would be fun to get this moron off the air.
[Mod Note; we’re going to interpret this as a metaphorical action. If it isn’t intended that way, it’s mighty inappropriate for this blog.]
Loo Hoo. @ 189
Involve studying things once she takes office.
TeddySanFran @ 204
Studying things would be a nice change from the present situation.
ReneND @ 197
metaphorically, of course, right?
burnspbesq @ 199
That should come as no surprise, since, she had worked for the US Chamber of Commerce…
CTuttle @ 67
Oh, hell – is it Petrocelli?
Any way you can manage it, Suzanne. Guess I better add a LOL.
Nonononono …Rudy reminded us that there is no principle too sacred for him to trample on.
TeddySanFran @ 212
TSF did you see that Obama is bringing the “change event to SF”?
link
I hope the Obama meltdown benefits Edwards with increased money and support. The best thing for the Dems is for a well funded Edwards to duke it out with Hillary. Edwards isn’t Paul Wellstone either.
Right-Wingnut Organization gives its Top Ten “Most Dangerous Organizations in America …
one of America’s ‘most dangerous organizations.’The conservative front group Family Security Matters (FSM) today released its list of “The Ten Most Dangerous Organizations in America.” ThinkProgress earned the 10th spot in the rankings. FSM writes that these 10 “hate” organizations are “growing powerful in the world of politics” and share a common “unwillingness to bend in their strictly biased view of the world.” FSM’s board of advisers includes Frank Gaffney, Barbara Comstock, and Laura Ingraham. Here are 10 most dangerous organizations:
10) ThinkProgress
9) Muslim Student Association
The Ten MOST DANGEROUS Organizations in America– UPDATED
By: Nicole Belle on Thursday, October 25th, 2007 at 3:55 PM – PDT Jane Hamsher found this little gem from FamilySecurityMatters.org.
What would you guess would be on the list? Blackwater? The KKK? The John Birch Society? Skinheads? Pfffft. Amateurs.
No, no, no…FSM takes “danger” to America very seriously: (click the link at your own peril, I’ve cited it here so you don’t have to)
10 ) Think Progress
9 ) Muslim Student Association
8 ) CodePINK
7 ) American Civil Liberties Union, National
6 ) Family Research Council
5 ) Center for American Progress
4 ) League of the South
3 ) MoveOn.org
2 ) Universities and Colleges
1 ) Media Matters for America
Um, “universities and colleges“??? Never mind the ridiculously transparent hatred for watchdog groups like Media Matters, they think that higher education is dangerous. Just definitive proof that being stupid and uneducated is valued among the authoritarian right. As much as this is mockable (and it is, make no mistake about it), it’s also so sad to think that the chasm between “right” and “left” (and I hate labels like that, the definitions are so ambiguous) look more and more unbridgeable.
UPDATED: MBH pointed out to me that it’s worth noting FSM’s advocating of George W. Bush as “President for Life”. The mind reels. That is, if they had a mind.
Can you believe it? And everyone’s been wondering what right State has to give immunity to anyone.
FIOA, your quote states:
Jane Hamsher found this little gem
did you see our posts on it?
Where are you, madmommy? (and congrats on getting # 200)
Nite, MM and Dr.D!
Truly, I am surprised PNAC, Carlyle Group, the GOP, the bush administration, David Horowitz and more christian fundamentalist groups didn’t make the list.
They’ve each done far worse in their efforts to destroy the America we knew and loved than any of the listed organizations above.
Impeach, Indict, Convict, Sentence Bushco and his crooked cronies for multiple counts of illegal spying, treason, constitutional violations, war crimes, war profiteering and election fraud.
This is the only way to save the America we grew up with, before it becomes the 21st century equivalent of 1930’s nazi germany. Don’t believe it can’t happen here? It already is.
That’s our Whore-owtiz.
A true Yankee fan would never root for the Bosox, evah! Similarly, I never root for the Evil Empire, in fact, I always root for their opponent, whomever it may be…!
Heading home, see everyone in a bit.
Sorry, I got the quote before I scanned down to read that. my bad, thanks for the correction, although I doubt it is far from the truth in terms of what the righties really believe.
Bravo! Snoopy Dance!
also, FIOA, fair use is usually defined as ok to cut and paste up to about 250 words before it is considered infringement – the idea is to post enough to get someone over to read the whole article.
and welcome to the lake – haven’t seen you here before (of course, my memory has been known to be unrealiable)
katymine @ 239
VICTORY & CONGRATULATIONS!!
woohoo katymine – a big change, esp. considering we are talking arizona
Arnold is a very corporate Republican. What’s good for Big Money is great as far as Arnold is concerned. He doesn’t buy into the the whole GOP “cultural agenda”, is not categorically anti-environment (although isn’t all that good). So some folk say he’s “moderate”.
But the corporate people are the “people behind the curtain in both cases. Just because he isn’t crazy wrong does mean he ain’t just… wrong.
To be truly moderate, you have to be right about at least something. On economic issues, Arnold just isn’t left enough to be right.
DrDick @ 137
Don’t you remember the poem, ” In feilds of Flanders lay…” then it went on to talk about the poppys?
Oh and Hi
Loo Hoo. @ 227
But they are scurrying about to say it was “lower ranking officials”…NOT CONDI, if she was in charge she would have done things differently…
Maybe this is why they are trying to put into the FISA bill that phrase that not only the Attorney General, but Asst. and Associate AG’s and State officials and those of sub-jurisdictions will be able to issue “executive subpoenas” without having a judge involved….and the Telecoms will have immunity if they listen to them.
Immunity is now given out “free”!
BTW You are now ALL granted immunity!
Hey I’m giving out immunity in my neighborhood.. want some? Everybody’s doin’ it.
TRex @ 68
Chloral Hydrate? I was once prescribed it for insomnia(!!) That’s what it looked like.
trex great points, I know Daniel Pipes “Campus Watch” has been successful at shutting down much needed dialogue about conflicts in the middle east on campuses nation wide. Although those same arguments can and should be turned around and pointed to those who stand on the left some much further on the left than they think.
Important for that outstretched index finger to be turned around at oneself.
