I watched an Obama speech on C-SPAN tonight. It was filmed Tuesday in Boston.

He was speaking with a decidedly Southern accent. What’s up with that? I thought they were all saying John Edwards was the phony in this race — but Edwards has been using his Southern accent for a very long time. Now, if we can just get some film of Clinton, Obama and Edwards all talkin’ Southern…

I still say, if all they have against Edwards is his haircut, his big house and stuff like that, then they must not object to ANY of his policies.

So what was the Admin doing with the end run around FISA before 9-11? What were they using it for?

Well -apparently- they were not using it for checking communications between al Qaeda as they coordinated their multi-pronged attack on 9/11. Otherwise they would have known about it and been able to stop it.

Afterall, isn’t that the idea of expanding FISA in the first place? To ’skip’ the bureaucratic steps in order to listen to terrorists communications quicker than before?

I watched Bill Moyers tonight and all I can say it it must have been filmed some time ago since they only referred to spying post-9/11.

Can you imagine Moyers going after Bush now, realizing there was pre-9/11 spying?

I heard yesterday that Bush could grant immunity through executive order. I would like to know what the keener minds here think of this.

Executive orders are probably THE most dangerous method by which a president can do damage to America while claiming it’s all legal.

Everything with them is political power to gain advantage to steal. So, I’d guess they were spying on political enemies and perhaps spying on corporations so they could take advantage.

But, they were also raping the Constitution.

I have to ask whether the objective was to get insurance for children, or get an issue. When you see Rahm and Steny involved, it’s a fair question.
