Taking on immigration may be the only way to deal with the pressure cooker of jingoism and xenophobia surrounding this issue that Republicans could exploit in 2008.

Lets not forget that RAHM fielded his own DEMPRIMARY CANDIDATES in 06′that got squashed by netroot progressives in those primaries. Liberals in red meat states like Colorado, winning on gay marriage issues. Can you fuckin believe it?
RAHM is Nancy’s weasel lap dog. Or is it the other way around? Can’t tell since Nancy has been sitting on her ass with Harry since November. Suckers for the SURGE. RAHM has that phony expression of seriouseness. So practiced and contrived. Frankly, Rahm is a cockroach running around the House floor. Someone should head him off and cut his ass down. There’s a halo around his noggin that spells out C O R P O R A T E……………….

Jane, I hope your feeling better and that some of your troubles(MEDICAL) are behind you and getting farther away. Just make damn sure your healthy enuf to stick around for the next 50-60 yrs.

Emanuel is an Illinois problem, that has been hurled on all Americans. We can’t get rid of him, only Illinois can. He speaks with such certitude and conviction, one immediately doesn’t notice how wrong and out-of-whack he is. Brought to national attention during the Clinton years, he hangs around demanding attention and respect. He has Nancy Pelosi’s undivided attention. Seems she can’t make a move without him.

C’mon Illinois. Hire Terminix if you have to, but rid the nation of this spider Emanuel.

Zed?…and I can’t bear Rahm

OK, so we’re in agreement that Rahm is part of the problem, not part of the solution. Why is there no discussion of forcing him to deal with a primary challenge?

Because he’s in a quite secure district. But, that doesn’t mean we couldn’t look at the other members who voted him into his leadership position. If we can find some of those who are weak or particularly offensive, then we might primary them and reshape the House from the roots.

I don’t have the details, but it looks like Rahm is trying to put another Tammy Duckworth clone into the IL-06 race against Roskam.

Emmanuel reminds me of the neocon foreign policy–no matter how many times you fail, you just keep pushing the same strategy over and over.

jim o’connor @ 32

My cautionary message: Dems should tread carefully on this issue. Nikki Tsongas won a special election in a safe Masachusetts House district with only about 52% of the vote. Immigration is such a local issue.

The closeness of the Tsongas race had little to do with immigration. Tsongas got the same vote percentage (maybe even a couple points higher) than Deval Patrick (the current Dem Governor) did. It’s a district that has gone Republican in statewide races before. Don’t believe the hype…it wasn’t immigration, it was a lackluster candidate who hadn’t lived in the District very long.

Douglas Feith already won the competition for “Dumbest Fucking Guy on the Planet”.

“Rahm Imanuel Is An Ass!”

That is the header of an article I will be writing later today and for viewing by our 3 million Chicano military veterans.

Of course, Emanuel understands that when we add in our spouse, sons and daughters, and ask our friends and neighbors for their invaluable political support, our votes on Election Day will tally in excess of 7 million votes.

Thus, this article will beup and available for viewingat the “Cactus Juice Commentaries” at our web site, www.chicanoveterans.org

Gosh, ya mean we can’t trust Rahm? Golly, really? Ummm… no kidding. Anybody that thought they could was fooling themselves. Same with H. Clinton. The DLC should be disbanded, and nobody should vote for anyone associated with it, ever. They’re conservatives pretending to be democrats when really they’re members of the Republicrat party.
