Sibel Edmonds might be a possibility but torture is probably Judiciary and rendition Intelligence. I don’t see any movement on those until January 2009 at the earliest.

I’m very disappointed that Sibel Edmonds hasn’t been high on Waxman’s list of priorities. She deserves better than she’s gotten.

From the moment Pelosi uttered her infamous words that impeachment was off the table I immediately thought that the bastards were going to get off scott free. That once the Genie is let out of the bottle it’s impossible to put back in. So there is nothing holding back future administrations from doing the same or worse without fear of retribution.

I am really hoping that quite a bit is going to happen to this crew when (if?) they leave office. Once that happens Bush can no longer pardon anyone and could we even see a convening of a war crimes tribunal?

I know people joke about Bush buying a place in Paraguay but down deep I think he knows that he might have to do a midnight run down there if certain things surface. Considering what has come to light so far it’s not inconceivable to believe there are things that were done that will leave us with no choice but to arrest a former president and vice president.

Never in my wildest dreams would I think a president would do what this man has done. He makes Nixon look like an Eagle Scout.

Laura- I won’t get into a long story about this, but from what I’ve seen, people (often women) don’t realize that their own qualities are special or unique. Because, what they do, and the way they see things is so much a part of them, as in “that’s just me” that it doesn’t seem remarkable or unusual to them.

You have a unique voice. Go for it.

littlebear, I do believe you have a picture of where you want to go. I read some of your comments, though, as expressed in the negative, as in where you don’t want to go, what you don’t want to see. Sometimes, using the positive–what you do want, what you will do–says it clearer for others. Running things down all the time–in my experience, I mean, when I do that–can be a real downer for others around me.

If talking about what we need to see is “negative”, that is on you. I didn’t say anyone was wrong or that things were bad – virtually no one else in the thread did either.

If this wasn’t so serious – many would agree – but as you can see by reading the thread, the things I express are not mine alone and it is reasonable to talk about bigger issues.

If someone really just needs self-congratulations and warm-fuzzies, perhaps should not blog about political issues.
