I watched it earlier, at one point I was exasperated at Naomi for not refuting Dinh’s argument that; Clinton asked for all the USA’s resignations… what was wrong with Shrub’s floating of it in ‘06!!! Uh, because it’s habit for administrations to request it at the beginning of their term, not, in the middle. 8-(

Because at the BEGINNING of the term you aren’t retaliating against them for investigating naughty things by the Administration in power. You are simply clearing out “patronage” positions. But when you attack your own patronage appointments for investigating activities you don’t want it’s considered obstruction of justice.

“Shrill”? How am I gonna be ‘foul-mothed’ and ’shrill’? Would somebody tell them to stop changing our characteristics like the clothing on a mannequin! I mean, how can we live down to their expectations if they keep changing it all the time.

In keeping with the tradition of each new administration cleaning house and appointing new US Atty’s, it stands to reason that Dubya and Co. would have fired not one but two sets of US attorneys. Did Bushco not fire and replace an existing group of attys in 2000? (These would have been leftovers from the Clinton Administration. Such action would be comparable to what Clinton and prior administrations did).

Later, Dubya and AG Gonzales, et al, decided to fire a second round of attorneys. Thus creating the US ATTY Scandal. These were Republican Attorneys that they selected for their own administration. These Republican Atty’s were fired b/c they refused to follow Rove’s orders to prosecute only Democrats (and drop any pending cases against Republicans).

I’m looking forward to Val Plame’s visit to the lake tomorrow. Who caught her on 60 minutes tonight? Does anyone want to share their impression of how the segment went?

I held my nose re Ms. Couric and watched. Val was wonderful. Couric tried to trap her a number of times [re the Vanity Fair article, and were she & Joe “partisan”]. Val was articulate, on point, beautiful [natch] and just generally wonderful.
