Stalkin’ Malkin has gone all Good-Bye Cruel World on her biggest gig, Friday nights on Teh O’Reilly Factor:
ICN has obtained an email written by Michelle Malkin that states she has quit doing The O’Reilly Factor…
From: “Michelle Malkin”
To: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Date: Fri, 12 Oct 2007 23:04:58 -0400
Subject: Re: Michelle no longer on the Factor?
I made the decision to quit appearing on the O’Reilly show in response to the poor handling of the Geraldo Rivera matter (the staged “apology” on The Factor was a complete farce). I won’t go into details, but please know that your support means a lot to me. You can catch me on other Fox News shows and read my daily blog posts and weekly columns at MichelleMalkin.com.Best,
Michelle
Could it be that what with getting called out by the Wall Street Journal Op-Ed page (which should have a sign hanging on it that says, “Right Wing Inpatient Day Lounge”), Michelle’s star is plummeting in conservative circles and that calling up the Geraldo spat (so to speak) from a month ago is her way of covering the fact that she was fired? Sadly, No! has a translation of Malkin’s email:
Translation: The O’Reilly show fired me for my poor handling of the Graeme Frost matter (my continuing attacks on a 12-year-old kid with traumatic brain injury made me a liability) and for my endless campaign against Geraldo Rivera, to list some of this month’s examples. Having been given the opportunity to resign, I have turned it around on the O’Reilly show and am now performing my Brave Little Topsy act. Can you believe their poor handling of the. . .uh, thing? I am so outraged at this lack of professionalism that I will die here in this snowbank before continuing to associate myself with such a program.
You can catch me on other Fox shows unless I’ve really done it to myself this time, in which case I’m calling Howie Kurtz to bail me out again, plus I still have a blog and a syndicated column, so nyeah.
What’s that whistling sound? It sounds like…somebody’s career in free-fall.
Can anyone out there tell me anything about that TV show Malkin was going to have with Kirsten Powers, “It’s Out There”? Did it air? Was it canceled? Did anyone see it?

Who
bonjour!
Zed, you therapod. Why the day act?
TRex!
hold it.. doesn’t firing Malkin reduce ethnic diversity at Fox by around 50% and gender diversity by about a fifth? I mean, really.
Meanwhile, shrub’s stealing water from parched Georgia to help out his buddies in Florida, and Georgia’s thinking about unleashing its national guard on the Army Corps. Now that, would be funny.
I believe this is my first visit to a TRex thread…
GBCW !
Trex smackin’ the Malkin during the day! Suh-weeeet. :D
One wingnut blowhard (O’Reilly) refuses to have another wingnut (Malkin) on his show? I love it when they turn on each other.
WTF..is it 10:00 PM CT already?
Michelle Malkin, feh!
The Sadly No! Flaming Malkin graphic is priceless.
Maybe Malkin can get a gig on the new FOX business channel, wearing her cheerleader outfit or some other short-skirt ensemble…
Biodun @ 6
I thought you were away for awhile? Did you get done your editorial duties already, or has time just flown by because we’re having fun?
Via Froomkin, after a reporter asked Laura Bush about whether DC should have a voting representative in the House, a White House spokesperson chastised the reporter in the following exchange:
Hi, kids.
*blink, blink*
How can you all see anything with so much light?
*dons sunglasses*
Michelle was just too difficult for me to watch. Why would Fox ever put a disturbed person on its shows beats me. She dragged everyone down to how low can you go when you are already below low? For years she’s been bellyaching about “getting her feelings hurt” in response to her vitriolic attacks. Nasty little t….
Amazing how you get a zed. I made a quick bank transfer, pulled up FDL and the next thing I know I’m in comments on a new thread. No talent. Just luck.
puppethead @ 12
To be fair, Roger Ailes has said as much…. that he plans to have beautiful women announcers in skimpy outfits… I guess it’ll be quite a stretch to fit Malkin into that criteria, though
Ann in AZ @ 13
I said it was gonna be for an hour or so. Thanks for keeping track…*g*
TRex @ 15
Does Malkin ever walk in sunlight???
she’s melting
Oh, you know, I feel almost certain that she is one of those too-perky morning people. Those people who feel morally superior to anyone who sleeps past 8:30am.
Quebecois @ 19
no reflection in mirrors either
Just a thought about Malikin, stalker:
Wasn’t she the one who got her knickers all in a twist when, during one of the immigration debates, The General put up a map with “Malkinwald” – a camp for illegal immigrants, near the location of her home?
ahh- here it is!
http://patriotboy.blogspot.com…..stian.html
Dear Michelle: Pot, meet kettle.
Love,
the Frosts.
QuakerGirl @ 16
QG,
My bold. But the answer is fairly easy since the fact is most the Faux Noise folks are disturbed in some way or another, the Malkin just fit in to the norm.
It’s a race to oblivion among so many of these righwing hatemongers: Coulter, Malking, who’s next?
Can we please refrain from crude sexual jokes about Malkin or references to her appearance? There are so many other things to rag on her about, I don’t feel like we necessarily need to go there.
And, the General exercising his conscience (and exorcising his demons, I guess).

dakine01 @ 25
If they put on someone who was NOT, THEN it would cause a ruckus.
Hugh @ 26
Rush to retire would be nice.
Hugh @ 26
we’re talking about people who work for people (Roger Ailes, Rupert Murdoch) who’s stated, publicly declared business strategy is to parade scantily cad nubiles in front horny men, on stagesets decorated with fascistic right-wing iconography. It fits, really.
Hugh @ 26
It’s a race to oblivion among so many of these righwing hatemongers: Coulter, Malking, who’s next?
haven’t heard much from Babs Bush lately…
Amazing how you get a zed. I made a quick bank transfer, pulled up FDL and the next thing I know I’m in comments on a new thread. No talent. Just luck.
Even a blind squirrel gets an acorn now and then.
Just like Condi Rice (who also wanted a career as a concert pianist):
My bold.
Honey: You can’t cut it as a journalist, either.
I have one thing to say. I hope Mr. Gore becomes Mr. President.
Oklahoma kiddo @ 36
I finally admit this is not going to happen.
Elliott @ 35
Look at it from his point of view: What’s the point? He’s already won the Presidency once. It’s sort of a been-there-done-that kind of thing for him.
Toby Wollin @ 30
So very true. For some reason when I watched Malkin I felt dirty just from the image. I could laugh and poke fun at the others but she came off really grotesque. Does grotesque have gradations? I found her twisted the way a psychopath is twisted. Creepy!
raven @ 32
Oh come on, raven. Speak for yourself. Some of us have a real talent for getting (and collecting) zeds…*g*
I love it. Malkin chewing off her own paw which is stuck in the trap of truth!!!
Oklahoma kiddo @ 34
Keep dreamin’ …*g*
Thank you.
I’m getting kind of irritated with the, “I don’t WANT a new puppy, I want Barfy and he’s DEAD!! Waaaaaahhh!!” school of thought on the ‘08 race.
Malkin, as translated by TRex: I am so outraged at this lack of professionalism that I will die here in this snowbank, before continuing to associate myself with such a program.
Yikes! Snowbank? She’s not coming here, is she?
TRex @ 42
You go with the candidates you have, not the ones you wish you had…(to paraphrase a not so smart former DoD)
Biodun @ 39
It’s almost always luck.
OT: TRex’s long lost cousin located…
TRex @ 15
Trex! I’ve been looking for you since I spotted this:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/7…..oject_365/
thought you’d like it ;-)
itwasntme @ 41
now there’s an image –
stuck in the trap of truth!
“wyah! They won’t let me eat their children! wyah, wyah! I’m so hungry and they’re so mean!”
peanutbutter @ 46
I would have thought Trex would have been in Lands End instead of Patagonia!
Ed*ard Teller @ 44
BOLO!
Biodun @ 40
Ah contraire – this linky keeps my hope alive we may yet have the joy of ReElecting President Al Gore 2008!
http://current.com/topics/32966219_al_gore
Quebecois @ 19
Yes, but she doesn’t cast a shadow.
Biodun @ 40
A blind squirrel would have an advantage. All their other senses would be superior :)
I like Al Gore. I think he does a great job in the statesman role of influencing all kinds of people vs. the blood sport of getting elected President.
And here’s this beaut:
(Same link as my 33.)
(Mod note: Even when quoting others who may use the slurs, we do not use them – Thank You)
Like Geraldo doesn’t exist on Fox outside the BOR show…right.
Okay, kids, I have to go to work. Time to make the donuts.
I will see if I can’t check back in from there, depending on how crazy things are today.
Ah contraire – this linky keeps my hope alive we may yet have the joy of ReElecting President Al Gore 2008!
http://current.com/topics/32966219_al_gore
hmmm, not so dead after all.
just sayin’….. why post 3 videos on non global warming topics?
TRex @ 26
I was actually making fun of Roger Ailes who’s decided he wants barbie dolls in tight clothes hosting his new business channel.
TRex @ 26
I thought after that video the door was sort of open to crude sexual stuff, my bad.
Mods:
Re: me @ 55. In moderation. My bad. I should have edited that. I wasn’t thinking.
puppethead @ 59
It was me, not you.
“Leave
Britney SpearsMichelle Malkin alone…RIGHT NOW!”I’ve never spent much time over at Ms. Malkins’ blogspot … but then again, I don’t go into bad neighborhoods after dark, either…. until today … and after following her comments about Geraldo and Keith and on and on… my only observation is that Ms. Malkin needs to get a thicker skin if she is gonna be a right wing pundit…
I used to read some of her stuff before 9/11. It wasn’t that bad… but wow, after seeing where she is now… I wonder where she went wrong?
I fear Malkin’s head might just explode.
best quote of the current Bill Maher episode:
Joy Behar referring to Malkin as a “selfish bitch”.
Blub @ 17
One has difficulty imagining that Malkin knows any more about economics than she does about any other topic. If ignorance really is bliss, she has to be the most blissful critter on the planet.
mc @ 63
Please do a Utube of this! Pleeeeaaasssse?????
Liberty Lover @ 64
there isn’t enough in that head to generate more than a small “poof”
TRex @ 41
Wow… that is really funny.
TRex @ 41
i want my country back.
are you telling me it’s dead?
Some people get irritated. And some get rude. And some manage to be both at the same time.
do-si-do @ 54
Yeah, but that kind of thinking leads to having presidents who are only good at the blood sport, which tends to end up in a lot more bloodshed.
Oklahoma kiddo @ 71
Disclaimer;
We have never met.
I kid , I kid.
Frank Probst @ 36
No, he hasn’t. Winning the presidency was not the point (unlike for the GOP), serving was the point, and he’s never been-there-done-that (more’s the pity.)
There’s another Media issue, which Helping/protecting the Frosts from the so-called responsible media.
the question is whether they have been libeled or slandered.
and…
here’s howie kurtz on why they are fair game.
Also looking for answers on harassment and child endangerment changes.
I posted the Maryland law re: the possibility of a harassment charge this a.m. on Christy’s post on the Frosts.
IANAL, and Christy has asked if there are any MD. lawyers out there to help us on that one.
So now there are two areas needing an MD lawyer.
Rockville Md.: I have a question that has been bugging me for some time and I hope you can address it. I have folloewd the recent stories about Graeme Frost, the child who gave the Deomocratic response about SCHIP, and what some commentators are calling the “Swift Boating” of Frost by right-wing groups. Realizing that the jury may still be out about Frost: It is one thing when politicians slam each other, but when someone goes after a private citizen, don’t libel and slander laws ever come into play?
Howard Kurtz: Libel and slander laws only come into play when you say something that is both inaccurate and damaging about someone. Whether or not the Frost family should be considered too well-off to qualify for federal health benefits doesn’t seem to fall in that category. When the parents agreed to make their son available to the Democratic Party as a spokesman for the program, surely they must have expected that their financial situation would become part of the debate. I am not, for the record, in favor of beating up on 12-year-old boys, but the family did willingly step into the political arena.
_______________________
Helena, Mont.: I think there is a difference between criticizing one party’s symbol for an issue and the level of venom that was directed at the Frosts — they were criticized for not going bankrupt in order to pay their medical bills, for pete’s sake. Michelle Malkin published their address and telephone number on her blog so more people could harass them. At what point do you say to criticize and at what point do you make the point that someone has gone too far in their criticism?
Howard Kurtz: The Baltimore Sun also published a picture of the Maryland family’s house and asked for their tax returns, which the Frosts declined to provide. Is that a mean-spirited attack or plain old reporting?
_______________________
But to get back on topic, Malkin’s WATB act is hilarious; truly the climax of her endless petulance at being subjected to even a tiny fraction of what she dishes out.
OK Kiddo?
Are you in class?
Elliott @ 69
LOL
BlueStateRedHead @ 76
Hacktacular Howie is Malkin’s Bestest Friend Forever which should tell you all you need to know about the hacktacular one.
Howard Annis Kurtz is the perfect media critic
for today’s goopers. His trophy wife a gooper consultant always rewards him. After all he is the critic who commented favorably on the Schwarzenegger communications team without ever mentioning his wife was on the team.
On Sunday he interviewed himself as part of his book tour –and i didn’t think anything could be more of a pander then the Mr and Mrs Tweety interview
The picture of the house is plain old reporting; asking for the tax returns is jumping to the beat of wingnut sliming on the basis of no evidence whatsoever, Howie. If you were an actual journalist rather than a hack apologist, that would be obvious to you.
Bustednuckles @ 78
Nope. Was earlier.
Oklahoma kiddo @ 83
I keep forgetting about the time zones.
Just a reminder, KO will be interviewing the Frost family tonight.
Liberty Lover @ 64
A vacuum would not explode. Her head should actually implode.
Diane @ 85
We (Lahoma and me) will be there. ;0)
Redshift @ 82
What disturbs me is the quality of the reporting. For example, reporting that the children go to expensive schools without bothering to note that they’re on scholarships. While it’s not lying, it could be taken of a piece toward harrassment. IANAL, etc.
Well put! and that video was too funny!
Redshift @ 81
They should offer to trade their tax returns with Howard Kurtz.
Have you seen this Kos diary?
Why would Gore post on his web site…unless?
Take a look
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/10/15/11302/103
Jane’s upstairs with Rudy…
peanutbutter @ 88
It’s the selectiveness of the reporting, really. Just choosing the bits and pieces that you think will paint the picture that YOU want.
Ed*ard Teller @ 42
Gah! Please, keep her away from Minnesota. Snowbanks are bad enough without worrying about encountering a Malkin in one.
dakine01 @ 43
I agree. Gore would be foolish to run again when there’s so much he can do in his current role, and so much respect that will accrue to him as a result. Why submit himself to the slimebags?
The sad fact is that she is stupid and doesn’t realise that, because she’s asian, she will never be accepted into the GOP’s little whites only club.
Malkin was bombing in the ratings; the last time I checked, the show dropped by a couple hundred points from the night before when she was hosting.
Who is she trying to kid???
msmolly @ 95
An honest and committed anti-global warming president can do more on this issiue than a private citizen. The president has the ‘bully-pulpit’. And arm twisting abilities and other resources.
Malkins greatest problem with regards to her TV appearances is that she comes across as exactly what she is in real life: a Lhasa Apso who sees herself as a Rottweiler.
This anchor baby was always full of “HOT AIR” ….. poetic justice is a bitch ain’t it
Blub @ 30
Yes, but will the Republican men be interested in a woman over 18?
I suppose, because I’m an empathy-sick, bleeding-heart liberal, I can’t help but wonder what happened to Michelle Malkin to turn her from a beautiful little girl of Filipino descent into the vicious, racist, class warrior & hate-filled ideologue she has become? As posted upthread, in one of her many declarations of victimhood, she claims she’s been called many racist names & told to “go back where you come from”. I believe her, but I also wonder how someone who has undergone such mindless, bigoted, vilification then becomes a perpetrator of exactly the same behaviour, aligning herself, ethically, socially & politically, with precisely those who victimized her earlier? Did she internalize the slurs, aspire to the power & seek the approval of those who had bullied her? Did she subconsciously decide, if you can’t beat ‘em become ‘em?
As much as I find her opinions repulsive, I can’t help but find Malkin herself terribly sad. And knowing that my pity would doubtless enrage her, makes me find her even sadder.
