And you could have responded with…”I resent when people that I hire tell me what I can watch in my own home…can I get your companies phone number and request another person to do this cabinet-work, since you only seem to want to work for people with political views identical to yours.”

Funny thing about averages…one wouldn’t need them if there weren’t people on both sides of the number. Thus there are “many” Republicans that have totals in the 70% range….but that also means that there are “many” (since 64% is the average) in the low 50% range that are thus VULNERABLE.

The AVERAGE doesn’t tell the full story…which is that “many” of these Republicans are vulnerable, and will be more so if they don’t vote for SCHIP. I would only point out that for if one in six of those voters changes their views on a Repug that votes against SCHIP…then that 64% drops to a tightly contested race!

If I get your question, no. Seems like the questions are the same as for any other place I’ve donated online. And, as I understand it, contributions less that $200 aren’t reported to FEC anyway. Short story, I trust BA and I trust Howie and Jane. Anyone else, please chime in with additional info.

That’s the critical thing, if your donation is less than $200 the employment information will not be made public since it isn’t reported to the FEC. I don’t know what happens if you make several $199 contributions…but I think it would then depend on whether the contributions totalled to over $200 in a voting cycle.

Ironically, the same day Feeney posted this bullshit, the Kaiser Foudation analysis of SCHIP said this, among other things:

Unlike the House SCHIP reauthorization bill, CHIPRA would not allow states the option to expand coverage to legal immigrant children or pregnant women in the country for less than five years. CHIPRA would also not allow states the option to cover undocumented immigrants and children of state employees so these groups would not be eligible for coverage.

Citizenship Documentation. The DRA citizenship
documentation requirements for Medicaid would now be required for children in the reauthorized program, but CHIPRA would allow states new options to comply with these requirements by using Social Security Numbers instead of requiring original birth certificate or passports.

He doesn’t like the funding source, as it is the most regressive (tobacco tax) revenue souce and pays for the expansion on the backs of poor people.

While he favors the continuation and even an expansion of SCHIP, he feels Dems shouldn’t engage in budget charades that we have regularly attacked Republicans for. He says the proposed funding would lapse in a few years and that whatever we do should be shown as permanent and paid for. He says we aren’t serving all of the children in the income classes SCHIP was designed to reach and the “expansion” would be better if it did this before expanding into other income classes.

Just thought readers might benefit by knowing his specific and detailed response to a constituent.
