They were both put upon by all the conservative bullshit, and now, a lot of people are wistfully, and not very intelligently, trying to somehow square that by giving them a pass on their many negatives. Especially, Hillary and her track record on Iraq.

It makes no sense. With us looking at a good chance to put the trolls back under the bridge for years to come, while we try to salvage something out of the train wreck they’ve made of our country, a lot of democrats want to nominate a candidate who can’t honestly pick up the Iraq stick and beat the GOP with it.

I think the right made a mistake going after Hillary for her laugh, unless they want her to be the nominee. I was drawn to her for her laughter (especially at Chris Wallace, knowing Bill’s recent history with him) but I became defensive on her behalf when Fox & Fiends unleashed their absurd criticism.

I won’t leave Edwards unless he’s defeated, but Hill’s had a great month. I am drawn to her after this silliness — does that make sense?

If they can manipulate your feelings to get around your intellectual disagreements, then there is no hope for Democracy. The manipulators will win every time — just like Madison Avenue advertising.
