Seriously, we have to change the labels since there are millions of people out their who make decisions based on those labels. It’s hard to do it, but it is essential to do it.

I disagree. At the time he testified, it was to save his ass. I give him no credit for that. I do not think that that memory is unfair.

I *do*, however, give him credit for having looked back, at least at this point, and recognizing that fascism, though he’s never spoken the word, is in fact becoming a reality, and for speaking out against it.

I’ve had clients truly reformed (but not very many), but most, while they *think* they’ve been converted, and honestly think that – when they hit the streets – the good intentions lose.

I felt bad for Dean when he testified on censure. Cornyn laid into him calling dean a felon and generally tried to discredit Dean. Cornyn is such an ass and karma is gonna bite em on the ass.

Delurking to say that, IIRC, Dean was disbarred for his involvement in Watergate. The reason his testimony was so devastating was that he was in the thick of it at the time. He is my hero because he chose to sacrifice his career for the sake of the country.
