The people protesting Rep. Pelosi’s political inaction regarding impeachment and the Iraq invasion are excercising their Constitutional right to assemble.I don’t believe there is a Constitutional right to threaten and intimidate. I’m not a lawyer but the term for that activity is assault.

Katymine: get a train out to Oxford–only takes an hour. What a
wonderful place. We spent half an afternoon in the company of the Gamekeeper at Magdalen (’maudlin’) College, strolling around with him learning all about his deer and odd bits about life in Oxford. We just ran into him by a fence corner, and we hit it off. We met lots of really sweet and hospitable people. Stayed in a B & B run by a falconer. Now, THAT was fun.

If this is the truth about Michele Malkin she is a woman filled with poison. She is rotting from the inside out. That poison will finally take its toll.

Although sometimes the only time people filled with this type of poison get it (although most people who do such evil will never get it because they are really ill) is to have their own ugly strategies pushed back in their faces.

Can we see some suggestions for what we, as concerned citizens, can do in response to this vendetta against an innocent American family?

Can we come up with a “visual action” to support this family?

*Remember the northwestern town that put menorahs in every window after a Jewish family’s home was defaced during Chanukah?

*Remember the Swedish (Danish?) Royal Family that wore yellow stars and asked their subjects to do so, when the Nazi’s forced Jews to do so?

Things are in flux tonight behind the scenes as House Dems struggle to decide whether to support the FISA legislation that two House committees unveiled today. So here’s what we’re able to gather about the state of play right now.

The entire House leadership is supporting the bill, confirms Stacey Bernards, a spokesperson for House Dem leader Steny Hoyer. But where are the House liberals? They are the key group to watch, because their mini-revolt against the legislation last week was taken as a sign that there would be heavy pressure on the House leadership not to capitulate by giving the administration too much power over wiretapping.

So where are they? According to House Dem aides, House liberals appear to be leaning in the direction of supporting the legislation — though nothing is at all certain. Earlier today, an aide says, an internal count of House members showed very strong opposition among liberals to the bill unveiled today. But later in the day, some liberals appeared to be privately concluding that many of their demands — which they unveiled amid last week’s revolt in hopes of influencing the process — had been met, this aide says.
