From the Department of Random Funny Things I Found on the Web:
Alright, let me see if I can break this down into a hundred words or less.
Over at Jezebel (stop rolling your eyes, I do read other blogs), Dodai points us to this surreal (but awesome) clip from French television. For those of you who don’t know, Anna Wintour is the famously frosty editor of Vogue magazine, a “style icon” who can pretty much snap her fingers and skirt hemlines will go so high that the whole world will know every woman’s waxing pattern of choice.
She was the purported basis for Meryl Streep’s terrifying Boss from Hell character in “The Devil Wears Prada”. Two French journalists have been following her around during French fashion week and I’ll let Dodai handle the translation duties from here:
To begin, the narrator points out that Anna Wintour (gasp!) smiles. Especially when the camera is following her. Sometimes she even laughs. But when she thinks the camera is off, she’s pensive. There’s a brief interview with Teen Vogue’s Anna-haircut-copying editor Amy Astley. (Nouveau personnage!) In addition, viewers are introduced to Hamish Bowles, of new title Vogue Living. (Nouveau personnage!) Jennifer Hudson’s cover is discussed as well. But nothing (RIEN!) prepared the filmmakers for the shock, SCANDALE! that follows: For the Nina Ricci show on Tuesday (MARDI!) Anna wore the same dress she did to the Balenciaga show on Sunday (DIMANCHE!) The same dress! (MEME ROBE!) You don’t need to understand French to appreciate the flabbergasted disappointment apparent in the narrator’s voice. Just listen.
“Flabbergasted disappointment” doesn’t really convey it. The guy sounds like he’s going into labor. I could watch this again and again and again and still howl every time.
What did you find today that made you laugh? Lurkers, we know you’re out there. Drop in and tell us something funny.
Go on. You know you want to.

“What did you find today that made you laugh?”
Republican joke presidential candidate Fred Thompson thinking we’re still at (COLD) war with the Soviet Union
What made me laugh?
That Ann Coulter’s wet dream is that women be denied the right the vote. The thing has strange dreams.
For the fashionista’s amongst us – free your mind
I’m going to get crucified for this post. “It’s not political!”, “TRex isn’t following the format!”, “TRex is RUINING EVERYTHING!”
I just can’t help it. The way he SCREAMS the words, “MEME ROBE!!!” just kills me. It’s like someone just stabbed the Pope.

Boy Scouts badges recalled over lead concerns

Up Against The Wall
The quick French had me rolling on the floor. WNYE, the second NPR station in NYC, plays a French hour around this time of nite & early in the morning, but never have I heard such a fast spate of French. And with classic music not to be missed in background. Glass Pieces by Phillip Glass beingthe last one, iirc.
eCAHNomics @ 18
There’s even a bit of Tomita playing Debussy.
I love, love, love this clip. His voice, the rapid-fire delivery, the way he manages to make it sound like there is open rioting and weeping in the streets that Anna Wintour is wearing the same dress on Tuesday that she did on Sunday…
My hat is off.
TREX (from the last thread): “Hoooo, boy, I bet that’s some fine rock and roll music. There’s just nothing quite so undeniably awful as Art by The Right. I feel certain that the band in question’s music hurts like a bad hangover.
The band played one night at the Knitting Factory on Leonard street, called Coalition of the Willing,
Nuh-uh. You’re shitting me, right?”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOzHPxODz5s
Just to be clear, I have no idea if this is the same band, but their name is surely a mockery, not a tribute to the Bush Junta. I’ve seen them and they are fantastic: Charlie Hunter, Skerik, Bobby Previte, talented artists all. It surely doesn’t lessen your point. Give a listen.
This is my new site for blog & news articles I find interesting.
I know it’s waaaaay too early to be talking about Christmas, but I stumbled across this clip on YouTube, and (as always) the singing just knocked me out, so here it is.
Ricky Skaggs and James Taylor, “New Star Shining.”
The only thing that would make that clip any better in my opinion is if the Benny Hill music were playing in a loop in the background.

Minnesota College Bans Nobel Laureate Tutu From Talk On Peace and Justice
by Scott Jaschik
Last week’s visit by Iran’s president to Columbia University symbolized to many the openness of American higher education to hearing controversial ideas and individuals. An incident coming to light at the University of St. Thomas, in Minnesota, illustrates that some speakers are denied campus platforms. In this case, the would-be speaker isn’t a Holocaust denier. Nor does he run a government that routinely denies basic civil rights to scholars, journalists or gay people.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who won the prize for his nonviolent opposition to South Africa’s apartheid regime, was deemed unworthy of appearing at St. Thomas because of comments he made criticizing Israel – comments the university says were “hurtful” to some Jewish people. Further, the university demoted the director of the program that invited Tutu after she wrote a letter to him and others complaining about the revocation of the invitation. (She retains a tenured faculty job.)

Thanks for the wonderful video TRex. You made my evening. And my friends wondered why I kept a calendar in high school noting what I wore each day. I knew about MEME ROBE!!!! even back then. ;~)
I liked the Vielle/Cornamuse duet in the backgroud towards the begining. Then I sort of tuned out.
Funny, eh?
Well, the photo of the Spice Girls on the back page of the weekend section of Thursday’s LA Times was a bit of a crack-up.

Lt. Watada Argues Second Court-Martial Is Illegal
from t r u t h o u t
Mike Barber for The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports that First Lt. Ehren Watada asked a federal court on Wednesday to bar his upcoming court-martial, saying that the Army is violating his constitutional rights by trying him twice for the same crime. Truthout will be covering the court-martial from Fort Lewis, Washington. The trial begins Tuesday.

Suzanne @ 50
The most contentious threads I’ve encountered on this blog are Palestine/Israel. Is that right?
TexBetsy @ 48
It’s rather dicey on the double jeopardy, the UCMJ allows for some fuckery not seen in civil courts…!!!
eCAHNomics @ 52
Seems that way — and some days it seems like every thread gets hijacked by the same five or six people endlessly rehashing the same arguments on that topic.
eCAHNomics @ 52
I whole-heartedly concur with that…!!!
Suzanne@50
It’s astonishing just how much venom certain subjects can cause amongst people who are actually ideologically similar. I now understand why just mentioning that particular PAC trips the filters. When I realized that your L.A.M.B. thigh-high shiny jackboots were sorely needed, I covered the window and went back to work for a while.
Some days it just seems like there is something in the air. Every thread I looked at today turned into a pie-fight.

Opening of US Embassy in Iraq delayed (AP)

The opening of a mammoth, $600 million U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, which had been planned for last month, has now been delayed well into next year, U.S. officials said Thursday. The Vatican-sized compound, which will be the world’s largest diplomatic mission, has been beset by construction and logistical problems.
neurophius @ 59
Yeah, I gotta problem with pie — my problem is that i am no longer allowed to have any. Being a late-onset Type 2 diabetic sucks, because you know what you’re missing. The only thing I can eat that’s not bad for me is … oh, never mind.
CTuttle @ 63
I kept my nose out of it. The arguments that pop up about that issue are practically knock down drag outs. I have nothing but an opinion about it so it’s likely safer that i do say nothing. But the venom. oh gods the venom is horrendous just to watch.
Nite, Ron!!!
Shadowstalker @ 56
Actually, it just takes a little reading and a little refelction. The facts are pretty straightforward, and the Palestinians got screwed. (Yes, the Jews got screwed earlier but that wasn’t P’s fault and they don’t deserve to pay for it.)
Strange that the only lesson Jews learned was that we must screw others before they screw us. Seems life the more appropriate lesson would have been that hate and revenge is counterproductive and there must be a better way. Oh silly me.
Time for betsy to join the world of pillows and dreams.
Suzanne, good luck with the house showing.
Night all.

Two rules for getting along at the Lake: stay out of the Israel discussions, and never say anything nice about free markets while the sun is up. I learned the second rule the hard way. The daytime crowd can get downright vicious when you challenge their preconceived notions and pet theories.
I have to tell ya’ll, that was one of the better discussions on that subject – folks are learning how to disagree and remain civil but there is still room for improvement in how we discuss hard subjects.
i wish we could discuss i/p as well as we discuss gay issues – which is also a very hard subject for many to discuss for a multitude of reasons.
burnspbesq @ 66
Burnspbesq, I was diagnosed with Type 2 in 2000 at the age of 28. Pie is something I cannot do without so my mother and I when she was still with us broke out the old diabetic friendly recipes she developed for my dad when he was diabetic, only we updated them using Splenda for sweetener. If you use fresh fruits with Splenda and don’t gorge yourself you can still have pie every once in a while. You just got to be smart and plan for it in the diet that day. I usually skip the late afternoon snack to have the pie that night.
eCAHNomics @ 69

eCAHN: I must say, your two-paragraph overview of this contentious issue precisely jibes with my own opinion. What are the odds? *G* Sorry I can’t be more contentious…
Every time one of those Israel things starts up, I am reminded of two lines from an old song by X:
Both sides are right, but both sides murder.

Real markets vs. fake markets. Market imperfections. Now there’s a topic. Thought I’d do one for PhoenixWoman, but wimped out. Reason: too much depth for venue, i.e., I couldn’t provide links to the assestions I would make.

my mom is pre-diabetic and uses apple juice as a sweetener instead of sugar. she found a great site for adaptive recipes and sent it to me before she came up on a visit last year.
Diabetic Gourmet Magazine I used a baked apple recipe out of there for dessert during their visit.

handcuffs?
CD@74
Yep. Think the reasonable solution is pretty straitforward. Needs simple declarative sentences in words of one syllable to commicate it to to others.
Suzanne @ 86
I thought you saved the handcuffs for special occasions….like Petro!
Suzanne @ 85
The use of fruit juices as sweeteners is a controversial subject in the diabetic world. Some diabetics can handle fruit juice as sweetener better than others. I am in the sensitive to juice group and so this wouldnt work for me. Fructose and stevia are other sweeteners that are not Splenda or the evil aspartame.
Shadowstalker @ 83
Mine? Somebody tend to poor fini…!!! ;-)
Suzanne @ 86
Now we’re talking…!!! ;-)
I heart aspartame.
fini, i’m sure its different for those like mom who have not developed full blown diabetes yet. i’m sorry to hear about the fruit sensitivity.
CTuttle @ 90
Thanks…Im gonna be ok I think…maybe. I really do need to consider reacquiring some female companionship in the near future though. These incidents are growing more frequent for me.
eCAHNomics @ 87
Commicate? I guess it’s more than one syllable…!!! 8-)
A German friend gave me a CD of George Kreisler, a bavarian cabaret performer, and he’s hilarious without subtitles. “Als der zirkus in flammen stand”, about the circus in flames, with the burning clowns, or so Jacob told me.
BONUS. Dubious but entertaining google translation of George’s German amazon page. “Songs against nearly everything” sounds promising.

Dude, I hope I’m not out of line, alternative therapies like Homeopathy & Acupuncture have had a lot of success in reversing Diabetes.
And of course, I can vouch for the success of Yoga/Meditation for treating this and all chronic ailments … be sure to find competent practioners …
(waving to npb across monterey bay)
sounds like a fun crowd
finifinito @ 98
There are a lot of sacrifices I am willing to make. Going back to drinking Tab is not one of them.
I cant afford alt med/homeopath treatments. I can cover the grocery bill or I could pay for a homeopath but I cant do both.
finifinito @ 111
Get some meditation CDs from your local library … Wayne Dyer has some great ones and there are many others …
finifinito @ 111
No kidding.
Petro – are alternative practices covered in Canada?
newtonusr @ 113
Nope, but the good alt. practitioners are very reasonable. The guys who charge an arm and a leg ‘might’ be using expensive additives … like steroids …
Boy, I wish I’d seen this article from Friday’s NYT before Dr. Dick bailed for the evening. Would love to get his take on this.

Petrocelli @ 113
Is there any governmental oversight?
Petrocelli @ 112
I’ve tried it all, I just don’t buy into any of it. What works for me these days is fully embracing the limitations of my body and working around them to accomplish what I need to get done. I’ve accepted that I will not live a long life and I am just trying to make the most of the time I have left, hopefully leaving behind a better place for my nieces, nephews and their children. My personal medical matters mean less to me than the goings on of one Britney Spears and her latest travails.
burnspbesq @ 115
That’s amazing … it took them 5 years to begin addressing the root cause …
Petrocelli @ 114
I had never used anything but western medicine until I had a herniated disc. Went the joint acupuncture and chiropractic way and it was amazing. But expensive.
CTuttle @ 116
About as well as they have for BigPharma /s
newtonusr @ 119
You live in Cali., everything is expensive there … but there are tons of free/great info. online and in libraries.
burnspbesq @ 114
That’s what SF is indoctrinated in, interact with the locals and try to resolve issues, at least, that’s what the ones I trained with did prior to Shrub…!!!
finifinito @ 117
I have seen miracles with my own eyes … actual diabetics who have been taking insulin shots for years get cured and paralyzed people get up and walk … not the charade on T.V., real cases.
Someone mentioned spontaneous remissions for cancer tumors, last week … it happens … the power is within you, you only have to learn how to tap it.
OMG — David Brooks finally gets it!!!
The Republican Party is not conservative (gasp!).
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10…..ks.html?hp
brooks musta missed a koolaid dose – they will give him a double dose and he will be back to his usual buffoonery.
Petrocelli @ 123
And that is great indeed if those cases continue to experience no symptoms or side effects years later. I too have seen folks swear by their alt med/homeopath treatments who have been “cured” only to have it come back on them within months or a couple of years. Or have something new come on them that takes them out completely.
No matter what your personal health lottery ticket does for you there is still this tendency by many people to treat their physical health as the most important thing in this world. They give up all enjoyment of their time here in the pursuit of healthy living, only to have that health stripped away in the end by whatever it is that takes their final breath. That could be a bus, a drunk driver, an irate gun toting coworker or a cancerous tumor the size of a pencil lead.
Smells like we’re going to get some rain overnight in SoCal. Bring. It. On.
the midnight hour has struck and it is time for me to officially begin to stress and clean and worry and fuss until the showing sat morning. i’ll be back sat nite for thers’ wingnut crap of the week.
I’m out. Happy Friday, everyone.
Why be happy? Well, the House voted 393-30 to make the Blackwater boys in Iraq subject to U.S. criminal laws. Journey of a thousand miles etc.
finifinito @ 126
I totally agree … obsessing about health is as bad as any other obsession.
Suzanne @ 128
Good Luck, Suz !
I’m off to slumberland as well, G’ nite all and have a great weekend !
It’s Thanksgiving weekend in Canada … I’ll be saying a special ‘thank you’ for all of you on FDL !
Tell you something funny?
Okay, I will tell you something funny I saw tonight.
It is the Jewish holiday of Simchas Torah. It means rejoicing in the law/teaching. We celebrate the completion of the yearly cycle of reading the five books of Moses. It is celebrated by dancing around with the scrolls, singing and a fair amount of drinking. To compound the issue, it was the Rabbi’s birthday. Celebrated with drinking and dancing, which spilled out into the streets.
Afterwards we went inside for more drinking and dancing. The Rabbi’s twelve year old son put on a fake beard and a bathrobe stuffed with pillows. He pretended to be “the greatest Rabbi of all time” who earned his title by being able to drink more than anyone!
Shorter me: I almost busted a gut!
I stress out about what’s happening in Pakistan…
“But a Musharraf victory, analysts warn, does not necessarily translate to stability. The army is failing in its fight against al-Qaeda and Taliban forces, who have aggressively expanded their influence and operations in the tribal and border areas, pushing large parts of the country beyond government control (WashPost).
Pakistan’s army, like its population, is deeply divided over the “war on terror,” and analysts see recent incidents of mass army surrenders to smaller groups of militants as a sign that the military will not fight (NewKerala.com) an internal war on behalf of what many of its officers view as Washington’s interests.”
http://www.globalsecurity.org/…..-cfr01.htm
*sigh* Nite, Suz, Burns, and Petro!!! *g*
EPU’d from an earlier topic (and sorry for the drive-by…I’ve been really busy with the MS Walk and opening a new lab)
Al Gore would be a fabulous candidate with Obama or Edwards or Richardson or Biden or Dodd or Clark. He deserves to be President. He should already have been President. (Anybody want to challenge the assertion that we would be hundreds of billions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives better off if he’d taken office?) He’s the best qualified to be President. He wouldn’t hurt the downstream candidates as much as HRC might. He should be forgiven for the Lieberman screw-up (as long as he never makes that bad a decision again.) Oh… and please, RWCole, go be a concern troll elsewhere.
BigMitch @ 132
Happy Holiday, Mitch! Unfortunately, the Evil Empire let you down…!!! ;-)
OT: I just now got around to reading Jane’s posting about the FISA-Fix’s Fix that Emanuel and Hoyer are going to try to ram through tomorrow. Per Matt Stoller:
What the hell is wrong with these people? Obviously, none of this would be happening without Pelosi’s full involvement, and I heard Pelosi say how bad the FISA-fix bill was and that she’s determined to fix the fix.
FWIW, a bit of googling shows that Pelosi, Hoyer, and Emanuel are all tight with A*P*C, but I’ve seen no indication that A*P*C has taken a position on the FISA stuff.

newtonusr @ 144

Later, CTuttle.
Perhaps FDL can put some PR muscle into Erin Watada’s story…
…..Rush would find him very, very phony.

BigMitch @ 146
An old girlfriend who stuck me with that moniker would have loved it if I were from Newton, Mass, and we’d never met. And she was, as she called herself, “a member of the tribe…”. So there is a consensus building.
burnspbesq @ 143
If you go back to the earlier thread, you will see ad hominum after ad hominum from RWCole aimed at Al Gore. I call him (her?) out specifically because of the venom of his/her attacks on Gore. Sorry…I DO know better. And (s)he needs to be more respectful of arguably the leading light of our society. Also, it isn’t merely a recent phenomenon that RW presents ad homina. I presume you have been around the lake for long enough to know that.

When was the last time any of ya watched a complete 9 innings of major league baseball? The end of sport is finally here and the corporate marketeers have killed ALL professional sports by marketing the players and manufacturing conflict…as a result the personalities are bigger’n the game. Oh so sad. Each individual game should be a universe unto itself with THE teams more’n the sum of prefabricated parts…but not today…gag me with a spoon. Women’s intercollegiate basketball is the only sport that is close ta pure in the sense of the game bein larger than the players and the players know it.

And by the way, I don’t think I have ever been insulting to another lake dweller even in the extremely rare instances that they are WOMBATs (Wastes of Money, Brains, and Time.) RW’s gratuitous slams against Gore places him/her in the Super-WOMBAT category.

Thanks NorskeFlamethrower! I’m so far out there on the public record that I can’t help but be straight-up. I’m just speculating here, but what if Israeli intelligence was getting fed info collected by those wireless wiretapping sweeps that were being done extra-legally. After all, remember that Elliot Abrams, the ex-con of Iran-Contra fame, is working in the White House these days as Deputy National Security Advisor for Global Democracy Strategy, where he has been undermining Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations(!)
Which reminds me, how is that A*P*C trial doing these days? I wonder if it might cross paths with the FISA mess one of these days?

I also got to see Ray Wylie do the same thing, in ‘03, in a church up on the Georgetown Ridge, in Georgetown, CA. Ray and his git, for 60 folks.
And he did two sets, and he shook hands and talked his ass off before, during and after his sets. with all 60 of us. Man I sure like me Ray Wiley Hubbard . . . he’s a class act and full of story’s. Makes little sense, but looks like a power thing (Steny & Rahm) – they are sending a “we’re in charge and don’t you forget it” message to the base (and their colleagues?). My guess, the vocal netroots don’t count for much vis-a-vis all that yummy telco (and other) money. They think ‘08 is in the bag and don’t want to lose control… Of *course* indemnification (without disclosure) will be part of the deal. And, of course, they’d just love to have the power to tap for their own purposes.
After the fact we’ll be told they knew something we didn’t re: immediate threats, or that the admin again lied to them… Whichever, this is ominous and indicates the plan for the dems is more of the same into perpetuity..
If this is even close, kiss off net neutrality. They want to shut us up just as bad as the admin does. Protecting the freshmen is disgraceful BS imho (but that’s Rahm’s kingmaker ego/image)
Re Harry, spect they’ve got the goods on him. Just dunno re: Pelosi, but something has reined her in. These guys are all just slow-walking through the motions as far as the general public is concerned. Probably more shoes to fall… Sometimes seems there is but one party and the rest is theater.

Citizen Raven and the early mornin’ Firepup Freedom Fighters:
Hey brother Raven, whatchu doin’ up so early? I want to appologize for takin up so much blogspace on the “Middle East” topic last PM but seldom do we get a chance to confront directly the twisted arguments that have been compromisin’ our freedoms and threatening the humanity of millions.
I know I get a bit worked up but I jest can’t shut up in the face of bold faced stupidity lecturing ME about human rights and such.
See my post up stream about the condition of professional sports today…which reminds me, when was the last time you watched 9 innings of major league baseball?
KEEP THE FAITH IT’S ALL WE GOT LEFT!!
morning raven. head’s still hurting from late nite.
If he decided to try, could newt take saxby?
NorskeFlamethrower @ 163
I get up at this time everyday. The Bohdi, Mrs Raven and I take a couple mile hike to ge a cuppa joe and then bear down to work. You work night don’t ya? I have to admit, I’m a total sports freak. Baseball is my least favorite but I really love college football. Back in the early 70’s in Champaign we had a weird tribe of Nam Vets, anti-war bro’s and sis’s, and Illinois football players!
SunnyNobility @ 164
Bad skull huh? Been near 13 years since I had a hangover and a late night for me is midnight.
NorskeFlamethrower @ 163
RE: last night. It’s a tough one for me, I know that the “Palestinans” are fucked over but I remain unconvinced that it’s all Israel’s fault. The shit is fucked up and I see no end.
Good Morning, Firepups!
It’s warm and muggy here in central Jersey this morning. We’re having a little bit of August plopped down in October. Loved TRex’s Gallic video clip. Nouveau personnage!!!!
Glad to have missed contentious evening threads. I enthusiastically recommend Ezra Klein’s great post in response to Roger Cohen’s column in yesterday’s Times. It’s one of the best takedowns in recent memory that wasn’t written by Digby.
Time to get crackin’. I’ve got some cooking to do now so that Mr. NJP and I can have a cold supper tonight. I made a pot of coffee last night so we would have iced coffee this morning. The pitcher of iced coffee is in the fridge. I’ve got house-blend granola and a big carton of Stonyfield Farms vanilla yogurt for those that like it, and a bowl of cut-up melon chunks. Help yourselves.
Work for peace, every day.
njprogressive @ 168
Thanks NJP, I’ll have some of that melon…. and some good Klein to go with it.
Boy, sure is dead around here.
Good morning, pups. Today the NYT serves up Bobo and Paul Krugman. Bobo’s column is titled “The Republican Collapse.” From his keyboard to God’s ear… Mr. Krugman writes about the SCHIP veto, and gives us an example of a conservative making a “joke” about it.

Thanks to NJP for breakfast today — I’m running late. I do, however, have hot coffee and tea for those who prefer. (I’ll take my iced coffee to work to have with lunch. Thanks, NJP!)
Good morning!
Mornin’ all!

What Obama said.
‘Course, the reich wingers will turn these comments into a condemnation but this particular form of decoration has long since become an automatic republic identifier for me.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says he no longer wears an American flag lapel pin because it has become a substitute for “true patriotism” since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
He commented on the pin in a television interview Wednesday and then again on Thursday at a campaign appearance in Independence, Iowa.
Noting the TV interview, he told the campaign crowd, “I said, you know what, I probably haven’t worn a flag pin in a very long time. After a while I noticed people wearing a lapel pin and not acting very patriotic.”
“My attitude is that I’m less concerned about what you’re wearing on your lapel than what’s in your heart. You show your patriotism by how you treat your fellow Americans, especially those who serve. You show your patriotism by being true to our values and ideals. That’s what we have to lead with is our values and our ideals.”
He had been asked about the pin Wednesday in an interview with KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids.
“The truth is that right after 9/11 I had a pin,” Obama said. “Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we’re talking about the Iraq war, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security.”

Good Morning!

I sooooo hope Gore gets the prize; would be a lovely “up yours” to shrub. Didn’t realize it gets announced today.
Waccamaw @ 177
that would be perfect!
That Klein post was pure poetry.
Waccamaw, Elliott – it would be great! If it happens, I will set my egg timer for the start of the gooper ‘nobel-peace-prize-is-a-partisan-tool-of-liburls-and-george-soros’ whine-fest.

I did not realize that like half of shots in the movie Amelie were shot in this style until now. Is it common in France? Great movie by the way.

I serendipitously picked that up one day, what a delightful movie! I’m gonna have to watch it again, it’s been a while.
The media beats up on the Democrats for not ending the war in Eyerack as a way of avoiding their own responsibility for propping up Shrubco and not being respnsible reporters.
If reporters had done their job –Shrub would not be in office and we would not be in the mess we are in.
Here is a petition to sign for those concerned about the blocking of free speech by Arch Bishop Tutu in regard to the I/P issue.
