I just don't want Glenn Greenwald to think he has a lock on all the good hate mail.
O'Reilly went after me a couple of weeks ago for having the temerity to tell Elizabeth Edwards not to repeat Republican talking points, saying I "threatened her." Hate mail from his legions of fans ensued, who obviously felt so strongly that Elizabeth needed defending they were willing to disconnect themselves from their respirators and their powerscooters to do so.

Most of them, I would venture to guess, are impressed and appreciative. But when you are so easily able to rouse some to wrath and invective, then for certain you are a force to be reckoned with. Obviously Kirsten Powers is one of O’Falafel’s biggest fans. Has she ever worked on any campaigns(besides maybe Clinton)? I wonder why she’s only on Faux and never on Tucker.
I would say it is quite an honor to be personally attacked by Bill O’Really and his legions of evil gnomes.
I do have one question:– out of al the things they could’ve called you, “fascist” seems to be among the strangest of choices. What precisely is O’Really’s definition of fascist? Anyone who disagrees with him? With the party talking points? Has he ever clarified precisely how one demonstrates one’s fascism by engaging in that time-honored fascist activity - free speech?

This is a standard gambit used by a rabid right wing friend of mine. Apparently, they deliberately and insistently conflate fascism with socialism, because the Nazis were called the National Socialist Party. Then they focus on the authoritarian attributes of Soviet Russia, and ignore the authoritarian attributes of the unitary executive/corporatocracy system they worship. Et voila, we are the fascists, and they are not. Don’t try to make sense of this, just accept that it is.
