About the only thing Congress could do at this point to get out from under bush is to start impeachment. I would welcome it. They could use Nancy’s “table” for firewood!

#76

Last year I gave the dems money 3 or 4 times when they called.

Not any more, now when they call I tell them no more donations from me until all troops out of Iraq. Also say, do that and I’ll send twice as much as before. Doesn’t seem to motivate them though.

Sorry, I do not even know where to put this (O/T). Did anyone catch Ann Coulter on the Today Show this morning? No, of course, I did not watch, so I do not know what she said. I was so stumped that they would give someone so insane, inane, and evil I was almost speechless. Why her? What possible help can she bring? Thank you. Needed to vent.

The public’s message to Democrats is clear and powerful: If you Democrats demand an accelerated troop withdrawal, approve substantially less funding for war and full funding for children’s care — read, progressive domestic priorities — the American people will back you up.

The nation has rejected Bush, rejected his war, rejected his priorities, rejected the Republican party; Americans want the Democrats to take charge. If they stand up to Bush, the American people will support them. But if they cave again, the’ll lose the public’s support. Any questions?

ok here’s some questions - so what? (D) incumbents don’t care about public support, they care about the flow of <strike>bribes</strike> campaign contributions from corporations and lobbyists.
If those interests want to see Bush’s kleptocratic budget supplementals approved, they will be.

if the public support goes down to 1%, but the Axiom of the Least Worst still holds, and there is no 3rd party choice, again so what? The districts are gerrymandered, they can ride it out and not ruffle any feathers in the elite circles they move in, thats what they will do.

OPEN LETTER TO HARRY REID:
In Nov. 06 the Democratic party became the majority in the house and the senate. It’s time this majority starts enjoying some of it’s PERKS.
1.. Only bring bills to the floor that is in the
best interest of the American people and can
advance the Democratic agenda, eg SCHIP.
2.. Block all repuKKKan bills that advance their
argument and agenda, eg. condemning MoveOn.org.
3.. Bully the repuKKKans into voting with you by
threatening to refuse all their bills they want
to introduce on the floor.
4.. Use the bully pulpit to put THE DEMOCRATIC
AGENDA in front of the American people.
5.. HOLD THE PRESIDENT FOOT TO THE FIRE ON IRAQ.
6.. Look into why ALL television sets on ALL
military bases and military installations are
ALL ordered to be tuned to FOX NEWS.
7.. The congress has the POWER to pull rush
LIMPbaugh from the Arm Force Radio stations for
his comment about phony soldiers.
8.. The soldiers need to hear the real news and
stories of the day from other radio hosts like
Ed Schultz.
9.. Use your power and have the FCC investigate
fox news, sean hannity and rush limpbaugh in
their reporting of so-called news stories
which most of the time are erroneous opinions
they put forward as real news to a large
segment of the population….. this violates
section 73 1217 and other sections of the FCC
regulations.

So senator Harry Reid and fellow Democrats, use
your majority in congress to PUSH forward the Democratic agenda and the American People wishes. Remember you are the boss, you are in charge and you are in the MAJORITY so stop cowering when the repuKKKans bark.

The most prominent sign of dissatisfaction has come from former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, long a pillar of Republican Party economic thinking. He blasted the party’s fiscal record in a new book. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, he said: “The Republican Party, which ruled the House, the Senate and the presidency, I no longer recognize.”

Better EPU’d than never!

If you’ve not had the chance, you asked me to remind you about the Gary Hart visit; I feel it goes a long way in providing example regarding d’s leadership’s annoyance with us.
The tone and attitude expressed is quite clear.

thank you so much for the reminder! i will try (if i don’t forget again) to read through it this afternoon. just setting up now for this morning’s hearings….
