While you all are partying, I’m out here in California at a Sark writing and creativity workshop.
When she was 10 years old, SARK announced to her mother, “I’m supposed to be a beacon of hope to the world and write books.” Her mother told her to eat her peanut butter sandwich.
SARK [those are her initials] went on to become an internationally beloved writer on healing and inspiration with books like Make Your Creative Dreams Real and one on naps called Change Your Life Without Getting Out Of Bed. You can see why I wanted to sit at her feet for a while and soak up the goodness.
A friend asked me if I’m really going to a Snark conference :)
Carry on with saving the nation and the world for me, please, and I’ll be back soon.

Zed!
Hi everybody!
Howdy, egr.
Hi eg!!
Enjoy
egregious, I made it to your party!
Hi
EG!
Lolo gets another zed for her necklace.
Lolo gets the zed! Just as it should be.
Its vanilla ice cream with fresh grated nutmeg and slivered almonds hmmmm
burnspbesq @ 9
long time no zed :)
[Hands burns a coke]
Hey James, Elliott, Suzanne :)
Hi egregious! Great to see you.
burnspbesq @ 9
Wily are the ways of the Zedi.
egregious @ 13
Thank you.
*passes the chips and guacamole to egregious*
By the way, lolo, your mountain is now snow capped again.
TexBetsy, how are you feeling today?
Where are you egregious LA? OC???
burnspbesq @ 17
Guacamole…mmmmm
Thanks for bringing the snacks!
egregious @ 19
Not bad. Got lots of rest. My son had a friend over and I let them take apart and old (broken) computer monitor, and that kept them busy for a while. How are you doing?
DrDick @ 18
Are all the fires out DrDick?
EG, you got any free time for a run down to my neck of the words from the ess eff bay area?
egregious @ 21
I feel like such a cheapskate. Betsy brought a Louis Vuitton cake to Late Night.
burnspbesq @ 25
I also brought Georgie his own cake at the beginning of the thread too.
lolo @ 20
The Sark conference is being held Saturday and Sunday in Sonoma, my first trip up to wine country. What a beautiful drive up, and seeing the vineyards at sunset at the end of day one was breathtaking. Currently coming to you from Novato.
What about the herb stuffed tomatoes and Orzo salad I brought earlier?
lolo @ 23
They are not out yet, but damped way down. We have been getting quite a bit of rain (by local standards) lately and temps have cooled off (highs in the 60s and 70s), which helps. Fires will probably keep burning until we get significant snow here in the valleys (currently it is all above 6000 feet & we are at 3200).
katymine @ 28
That was good too. No wonder I am gaining weight!
Where are you DrDick?
katymine @ 28
Is there any left? I missed that first time around.
katymine @ 31
Missoula, MT, in the heart of the northern Rockies.
The GOP hates illegals this is a fact. Now in Judo you take the other guys movement and redirect it.
So if we apply that concept to the Iraqi Refugee story focusing on the likely potential outcomes we can cripple the GOP.
There are 2 million Iraqi refugees living in other countries now God knows how many there will be before the war is over.
If we loose in Iraq then we have another Hmoung boat people wave of immigrants comming here. Plus the longer we stay in Iraq the more of them will be coming here. This is the argument we have to make to the xenophobes.
Have enough for another meal but here are the recipes

Had a great visit w egrDaughter and spouse on Friday. Such a pleasure to see her all grown up, on her own, enjoying her life.
News segment on going up into the high country to see the fall colors. It is 39 degrees right now at the Grand Canyon. That is spectacular to see the canyon during the fall. The red/orange hills and the red, yellow and orange trees.
DrDick @ 29
I hope all the fires are out soon, it’s so sad.

Petrocelli @ 49
Hey, Petro. Greetings from Vancouver.
Thanks, but not my type. Can I have Feist or Neko Case instead? How about Sophie Millman?
Bush 1 invaded Iraq to save Kuwait but his failure to depose Saddam was one of the factors that lost him the Presidency.
Bush 2 the son was so haunted by his father’s loss that he invaded Iraq because of their supposed ties to Al Quieda, WMD, Opedial Complex take your pick.
What do you want to bet the next GOP president, whenever that happens will try and redeem Republican honor and claim Bush 2 was right about fighting them today so we don’t have to fight them tommarow.
OMG you need the opening skit on Saturday Night Live….Hillary … as the eventual president.
Well that’s all the fun I can pack into one day here. Guess I’m still on east coast time.
Aloha Oe, is that right, CT?
Goodnight to all pups!

100,000 Protest Over Japan Textbook
Japanese textbook controversy
TOKYO — More than 100,000 people protested Saturday in southern Japan against the central government’s order to modify school textbooks which say the country’s army forced civilians to commit mass suicide at the end of World War II.
Publishers of history textbooks were ordered in December to modify sections that said the Japanese army _ faced with an impending U.S. invasion in 1945 _ handed out grenades to residents in Okinawa and ordered them to kill themselves rather than surrender to the Americans.
The amendment order came amid moves by Tokyo to soften brutal accounts of Japanese wartime conduct, but triggered immediate condemnation from residents and academics.
Strategerie @ 68
Hey Strategerie, good night, talk with you another time :)

Iraqi Refugees who speak the language know the customs and are less lilely to shoot civilans than Blackwater Mercs would provide us excelent inteligence through their family members still in Iraq and make better solders because they understand the culture.
Look at the Cuban refugees, the Hmoung etc they all get fast tracked to citizenship and assimilation compared to other hispanics why because America wants their abilites to be ready if we invade their countries again.
If other Hispanic countries want to get more of their people into the U.S they should support a Commie takeover of their country.

Woman dies after airport arrest (AP)
from Yahoo! News
http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/rss/topstories/*http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070930/ap_on_re_us/airport_death
AP – A woman late to her plane became irate, was put in handcuffs and was later found dead in a holding cell, police said. Authorities were investigating Saturday if the woman choked herself while trying to get free from the handcuffs.
TexBetsy @ 86
That was the third story last night ….. first U-haul with terrorist stuff on it…. woman trapped in CT scanner for 5 hrs AND woman dies at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport…
Well damit, I mised Egregious, nice lady.

In this life I’m a woman. In my next life, I’d like to come back as a bear. When you’re a bear you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for 6 months. I could deal with that.
Before you hibernate, you’re supposed to eat yourself stupid. I could deal with that too.
When you’re a girl bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while you’re sleeping an wake to partially grown, cute cuddly cubs. I could definitely deal with that.
If you’re a mama bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too. I could deal with that.
If you’re a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling. He EXPECTS that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat.
Yup, gonna be a bear.
persiflage @ 100
Bears don’t get laptops to hang out at FDL.
Teddy has a different definition of bear. I’m more included towards your definition than his (sorry teddy).
Suzanne @ 102
do tell
But Teddy Bear hugs are pretty nice….
persiflage @ 100
Aah, but, Persi, she wakes up much slimmer, much to Pa’s glee…!!! :P
That’s true Betsy. On the other hand, bears don’t care about human politics. They don’t even know what a crap job Bushy is doing. I think that’s what they call blissful ignorance.
I think I have been in trouble with every Moderater FDL has ever had.
Gotta love ya.
persiflage @ 100

persiflage @ 100
Very original.
A new “ThreatDown” awaits!
persi, i think that definition involves very hairy gay men…
Bustednuckles @ 106
I don’t recall you getting into trouble with me busted
Suzanne @ 102
That’s why I thought I’d better post it now rather than tomorrow night. Teddy might think I was talking about him.
Suzanne @ 111
the night is young
Now then to reiterate there are 2 million Refugees so far and that the longer the war goes on that there will be more of them if we loose.
Tying a GOP prowar reinvade Iraq scenerio to past actions by America concerning refugees from countries where we lost a war leads us to the set up.
What better way for the GOP to assimilate these Iraqis than to place them in GOP neighborhoods so they can become good Americans?
After all look at the Cuban’s support for the GOP. Do the Xenophobes really think that the GOP would let a million Iraqis become Democratic voters?
Lay out a plausible scenerio that feeds into the particular paranoid fantasies of a segment of the population and trump the hate the GOP is riding on for support with Fear. We redirect their energy where we want it to go like in Judo to control the game.
The fear that inspires and is at the root of paranoia betrayal. The GOP is and will play the Xenophobes like chumps on this issue.
I as a Democrat want the war to end and will support letting immigrats into the country especially if we invaded their country. The Xenophobes might not like my postion, but they should like less being played. I bet they stay home this election if we play this issue up.
persiflage @ 106
yeah, i was happier when i was just painting.
CTuttle @ 105
He’d have to be a bit slimmer too after his long nap.

Eventually, this will be the site for all of my news items. Unlike the Google site, this one allows for comments. Google site is at http://www.google.com/reader/s…..0531065357
I have to tell one on myself.
Someone I would really like to meet,I do believe, is the site administer, drug up my very first comment on this Blog a while back.
It stunned me for a minute. You know who I am talking about. The first beer is on me.
Update,
Yeah, you.
That’s OK. My very first comment here, I got accused of being a sock puppet.
tex, we resolved it :) turns out you and cassie DO share the same IP
TexBetsy @ 129
I’m just invisible…. btw if SNL is one in your area, it is really funny… Or is just me because I usually do not stay up this late?
I can’t remember last thursday, link me?
katymine, there is no way you are invisible…. after all that talk about your trip to greece (ducking)
so if my boyfriend posts here at my house we could have that problem?
Suzanne @ 129
We often share the same computer!
katymine, not a problem if we know ahead of time that there is more than one pup at your place.. like demi and mr demi and other…
Divide and Conquer just how many and how important are the antiimmigration voters to the GOP? To keep those voters would the GOP agree to end the war?
Yeah Katymine. Just tell him his log-in name is “other”. That will go over super well!
Ya know something y’all? When the snark turns into obnoxious sarcasm, it might be time to call it a night.
Night y’all.
He is Elmore…. he pops in to give me a bad time… sometimes he is doing it from some MNF game or hotel but he is here during the week.
I think my Daddy is going to get Firefox for his birthday. I tried toopen another window and got Bupkiss.
The worst band ever had maybe two good songs. This one you posted and “Good Vibrations.” So thanks for not posting one of the worst band ever’s most phenomenally shitty songs, whose name was Legion.
katymine, i think i remember that last football season that he popped in
BTW, it was MY sarcasm I was worried about.
katymine @ 130
How about a paraphrase. I typically don’t watch tv.

my sister is in tuscon and me madre is planning on moving from palm springs to peoria, az around december or so.
Talking back to the Mods is like driving into a brick wall on a dare.
Nice, stupid.

Petrocelli @ 152
Buenos Noches, Mi Amigo!!!
busted, i am so laughing
I love not having to change times with daylight savings… the problem is remembering what is going on with the rest of the world. Half the year I am on the same time zone as my parents, TeeVee schedule changes with the time change.
What did you think of the Hillary skit?
Suzanne, how are you enjoying your new short n sassy hairdo?
sorry, katy, james mcmurtry’s chcotaw bingo came on the radio and i’ve been dancing and not paying attention

Wow! A truly iconographic piece of music from time so fleeting that it’s hard to really grasp the fact that it was real…’Paradise Lost’ indeed.
Truly it was a magic moment.
Sadly, the serpent dwelt there too. For more bonus points than you will ever be able to redeem why was the suburb the Beach Boys grew up it built?
‘Why was the suburb the Beach Boys grew up in was built?’ I don’t know, why?
Bustednuckles @ 175
Lots more since the trial ended. But then I heard something like this and it keeps me going for a while longer.
I shall bid a fond adieu to ya’ll! Aloha Oe!!! *g*
A.Citizen @ 177
Out of that ethos I was born. I watched as they faded away. My political views born out of the demonstrations where the serpent dwelt. That venom, while fatal, creeps through the blood slow. A strong heart and a pure soul is required to meet that beast.
Just home from a performance in Anchorage of Carmina Burana….. stirring.
Actually, think I’ll sign off with a little ditty from Mr. Newman.
Good night to all, especially the Lurking Mod to whom I am very grateful.
Well good evening ET.
I do believe that I am going to fall over now though.
Both of my synapses are misfiring.
CTuttle @ 179
To house the influx of workers into Southern California needed to man the machinery of the burgeoning ‘aerospace industry’; that is, the Military Industrial Complex which as starting on it’s decades long expansion which is now complete.
Land and financing, GI bill, was made available so that the tens of thousands of workers Lockheed and North American Aviation needed would have housing, indeed better housing than they ever had before, don’t be too hard on the Beach Boys, it wasn’t until much later that they realized that their surfin’ paradise was built on the foundation of the ‘Cold War’.
‘Guns and Butter’ dude.
Bobo Brooks was on Hardball saying that the school choice issue was going to get the GOP some African American support.
Does he really think that many of the private schools which were founded to give white parents a place to send their kids to a school without African Americans will really welcome them now?
The Supreme Court just ended Busing African Americans to good schools
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg…..93-298.stm
Hate to say it Bobo but even with vouchers the affordiblity of private school is still an issue.
That and the lack of welcome African Americans can expect. Equal Funding for schools could be an issue that Democrats could run on well with African Americans if we Democrats ever start talking about what else we want besides no more war.
I’m guilty of that I confess as much as anybody!
twȝk @ 182
Likewise. And I have now determined that this time the job will not be half-done. I intend to grind the serpent beneath my heel until it’s vile imitation of life is expunged from our living space.
Let it sink it’s fangs into my flesh…I will not relent.
things come undone @ 187
School vouchers are a part of a fascist program to destroy public schools. It is abetted by the Christofascists.
I didn’t like the Beach Boys much when I was a kid. Their first song I fell in love with was Good Vibrations and shortly after that, they pretty much faded away, at least in my mind. It wasn’t until my kids were little – 7 and 4-yo’s, and they fell in love with the Beach Boys on a long road trip in a motor home, that I got to like their earlier stuff. I like their Christmas album as much as anything else they did.
What is the name of the instrument played by waving hands over it, invented by Tessla(?) and featured on Good Vibrations?
BigMitch@ 189 your right the blame is all with the GOP so if we make a big deal of fixing the problem any discussion of this issue will make the GOP look bad.
The best thing for the GOP to do is drop the issue they are going to loose anyway but if they fight us then they enflame African Americans into voting more.
I want that to happen :).
RBG @ 183
Humour is good :)
for some reason, ET, I always base history off of 1844.
BigMitch @ 191
Hi Mitch. It’s called a Theramin, available in two versions: one with pitch and volume antennas, and one with just pitch. Jimmy Page used to use one also.
BigMitch @ 191
A theramin. I presented Robert Moog playing theramin and Moog synthesizers in Anchorage, in April 2005, at UAA. A few months later, the great electronic master was gone.
things come undone @ 192
Be careful of what you wish for. The Christian right is demoralized this cycle, and will remain so especially if Guiliani is their candidate.
Dems already have the education vote. People who care about it, know that No Child Left Behind is a disaster.
If we make school vouchers a big issue it will energize the Christian right.
The problem is not just that it will get them out to vote. They have become masters of using the infrastructure of their Churchs to get out the vote. They have busses. They have mailing lists. In some places, the polling place is in a church. They are sleeping dogs, with emphasis on the dogs part. Let them sleep.
Ed*ard Teller @ 195
There is an updated variation on this instrument: there is a thing called an AirSynth that is played in a similar fashion, but uses a hemisphere instead of antennae, and makes a lot of different sounds. Very cool.
Theremin not invented by Tessla. Invented by — wait for it — Theremin.
things come undone @ 186
I had a really bad time in public school. While it has value I’m too jaded to enter the argument.
A.Citizen @ 187
I’m down with that.
Carlos Arredondo was beaten up by the Prowar Gathering of Eagles group some Cops were hurt breaking up the beating.
Now why can’t I find anything about these Gathering of Eagles Punks getting arrested? Injuring Police Officers I thought was a one way ticket to jail. Unless of course you have serious Clout maybe a high placed GOP Godfather?
We need to tie these guys to the GOP where are they getting their money? Why isn’t Bush defending a Gold Star Dad!
Just where has all his respect for the troops gone? I mean Washington DC is his backyard how can he ignore this?
http://www.crooksandliars.com/…..more-21571
Ron D – just bookmarked your site under my heading “interesting history blogs”…
The AirSynth also has a companion piece called the AirFX that adds effects to an input by waving the hands over it. Using the two together is like playing an invisible keyboard.
twȝk @ 199
I had a hard time too being smart and brown well lets say I’m not sure whats worse! But my sister and little brother had a worst time in Catholic school.
Thanks ET! Glad you dug it…anything you particularly liked?
gotta do a restart. back in a few.
RonD @ 205
Yeah – On the Confederate Flag. It mirrors some of my own feeling on the idiocy of people who get into fetish warrior memorabilia. The Confederate regalia nuts aren’t as kinky as the Nazi or SS regalia nuts, but they’re bad enough.
I don’t feel that strongly about Confederate field re-enactors, though.
A sound from the new digital version of a theramin, Ron D mentioned above.
Ed*ard Teller @ 208
cool. thanx.
things come undone @ 203
Yeah, I don’t doubt Catholic school would have been bad for me.
Hey, Mitch,
I noticed that earlier today, you came out against Rep. Mark Udall’s proposed introduction of a resolution in the US House complaining about Limbaugh’s “phony soldier” statement. What do you think should be done about what Limbaugh said?
Lurking Mod, I’m having a problem…dumped my cache, restarted, multiple hard refreshes, and I still have no preview button, no refresh comments button, and can’t get the page to load past a certain point…any suggestions?
Ed*ard Teller @ 207
:D pure favour for vinyl.
Ed*ard Teller @ 211
I think we should have votes on war, health care, education, economic disparity. Maybe one speech on the Senate floor pointing out why we are ignoring this bullshit — we have more important things to do. Trust the media to attack Rush. Not because of any ethics on their part. Just a matter of giving a competitor a zets.
Zets – a sharp blow.
Isn’t the Bible filled with stories about Israel loosing wars because they turned away from GOD! The Christfacisists think America is the new Israel.
So why don’t we play on that belief and work to convince the Christfacisists that we were defeated in Iraq because Bush serves two masters God and Capitolism/Money/Moloch?
Guess which God he serves more when he opposes Healthcare for everybody. In direct contradiction to Jesus saying something about giving all your goods to the poor if you want to follow him and be rewarded with treasure in Heaven.
But somehow we always have more money for the war.
By their deeds you shall judge them half of all bankrupcies are caused by medical emergencies.
I wonder how many Florida voters are loosing their homes thanks to medical emergencies and higher home insaurence costs brought about by global warming.
The Hurricanes are a Sign! Repent! your energy wasting, poluting the Earth ways, Repent! We need Christo/Pagan/Enviromentalists to preach the MESSAGE!
Hey why can’t we add new chapters to the Bible? Schindlers List deserves a chapter and maybe the enviromental movements struggles to save the planet is being written now as we speak.
Add new chapters to the Bible? It didn’t work out so well last time. Just saying.
Thanks, ET. That piece on the Confederate flag was actually a response to something SnarKassandra said-I was writer’s blocked, and she suggested something for Flag Day. I agree with you on re-enactors as well. Not the same thin-that actually IS a heritage issue, IMO.
BigMitch @ 214
I strongly agree. Also, I have some sense that treating Limbaugh the way the Republicans and DINOs treated MoveOn tends to make them comparable in the minds of casual observers.
Alright…it’s 4:30 am here in FL, and that’s late enough. My compliments to all, and the best of all possible tomorrows to you.
BigMitch @ 214
A lot of our vets got some really hard, sharp blows. So, you’d tell a group like votevets that Maybe one speech on the Senate floor pointing out why we are ignoring this bullshit …?
BigMitch @ 216
Really they tried I mean Schindler’s List has to qualify what standards were used? I never heard this before.
things come undone @ 221
It was a stupid joke by me. I am sorry. I was referring to the New Testament.
Ed*ard Teller @ 220
When you have a bill on the floor to make sure Vets are treated with the dignity and fairness they deserve, you can mention it. But Dems are seemingly on a non-stop campaign to prove they can’t accomplish anything.Must turn it around, and stop trying to be Republicans.
wigwam @ 218
So you think congress should stay out of this entirely? A number of Democrats have come out strongly on this, two GOP legisaltors, and the president has already backed away from backing the flatulent windbag.
So the legislators who have criticized Limbaugh should just turn to the next issue? Doesn’t that especially leave Udall in a vulnerable situation?
Ed*ard Teller @ 224
He’s a smart guy. Some say he’s even smart enough to be vice president. If so, he will find a graceful way out of the jam that he got himself in.
BigMitch @ 223
So Udall should think about being more creative before he jumps out there Monday? I don’t think there’s any significant Vet legislation close to being ready for floor debate? Am I wrong?
Bedtime for Bonzo.
Very truly yours,
Bonzo Mitch
Morning folks – catching up after a long day in defilate. Anything good happen today?
Sorry way off topic even for the late late thread.
Could the end of the age of prophecy

be linked to the breakdown of the bicremental mind?
SunnyNobility @ 228
I’m sure a lot of good things are happening already, and the day’s very new. Here, it just passed midnight, it is raining and in the high 30s…
I don’t know, and I assume there is not. That’s the problem Congress should address immediately. Not Rush. If speaker P and majority leader R have to call every vet organization and tell them privately that they are too busy working on legislation to secure benefits to vets, to fuck with Rush, then DO IT. But make the legislation happen, because, it is the right thing to do.
Also, and believe me — this is secondary, it is good politics. The Repusblican have for decades, at least since Eishenhower, had a monopoly on being the party that was good on foreign policy, and good for the troops. It may have always been bullshit (though LBJ lost a lot of GI lives) but it was the conventional wisdom. Now that conventional wisdom is being challenged. It is an opportunity that can not be seized with a resolution regarding a pimple on Rush’s ass that got him out of the draft so he could go on to be a fucking blowhard.
“Repusblican” was a typo, but I think I will use it again in the future.
BigMitch @ 231
I didn’t think the resolution mentioned oxybaugh’s butt, let alone what must be the awful complexion there, but I’m most interested in what Iraq Vets and servicemen and women in Iraq and that other place we keep forgetting about – starts with an “A” – think about this. The Dems should show more visible solidarity with the Vets who served nobly while hating this war.
BigMitch @ 222
No your partially right the New Testement has been misinterpredeted to excuse everything from the Spanish Inquistion to G.W Bush’s war in Iraq.
We need to go Old Testament on the false Prophets! Elijah and the 450 false prophets of Baal Old Testement!
I hate it when politicans evoke God to justify everything they do but provide no proof!
By proof I don’t mean the magic and healings the telepreachers do which any good hypnotist with the right subject could duplicate.
Hey if Bush has such faith in his church why doesn’t he set the telepreachers loose to fix our national healthcare problems? Or does Bushy lack the faith in their abilites?
BigMitch @ 230
Well, I gotta agree a respite, in any form ( reduced tours, medical ), would say a hella lot more than nonSense of the Senate shit.
Late Late night Rules! One person’s idea can lead however tangentialy to another and you end up thinking about things you almost never think about. Caffine and Cigarettes help too!
things come undone @ 235
bad diet! D: but ideas are good, I wanted to reply to your 214 but it’d take too long for me.
twȝk @ 237
Hey reply away if you want its late, late night! Space is not a consideration and your ideas are always appreciated :). But I do understand the desire to be brief and concise in writting sometimes an entire thread can pass me by before I finish editing when I have a lot to say and often I still find it to wordy. Being brief lets you join more in the conversation.
Ed*ard Teller @ 230
Thanks for the injection of optimism in response to a dumb question. I’m still in yesterday mode.

Thanks! I do prefer the terse disregard toward, seemingly, obvious malfeasance.

(CNN) — The Iranian parliament on Saturday voted to designate the United States’ Central Intelligence Agency and the U.S. Army as terrorist organizations, IRNA, the country’s state-run news agency, reported.
art.army.gi.jpg
The Iranian parliament says the U.S. Army and the CIA are “trained terrorists,” IRNA reported.
The CIA and the U.S. Army “trained terrorists and supported terrorism, and they themselves are terrorists,” the parliament said, according to IRNA.
The Iranian parliament said the condemnation was based on “known and accepted” standards of terrorism from international regulations, including the U.N. charter.
The parliament said it condemns the “aggressions by the U.S. Army, particularly in Iraq and Afghanistan” and calls on the United Nations to “intervene in the global problem of U.S. prisons in Guantanamo Bay, Abu Ghraib and secret jails in other countries,” IRNA reported, quoting a statement from Iranian lawmakers.

Good morning, pups. The NYT has Modo, Friedman and Rich. MoDo has a thing called “The Nepotism Tango” about Hillary and W. Mr. Friedman says that the country’s response to 9/11 has knocked America completely out of balance and it’s time to get things right again. (He just noticed this?) Mr. Rich asks if Hillary Clinton in the new old Al Gore.

I know no one is here but maybe for later….
I went to Catholic high school. In my senior year we put on the play “Desperate Hours.” I had a BB pistol that the drama teacher wanted to use as a prop. He told me to bring it to school and we’d use it in rehearsals.
The first time I brought it to school was 5 April 1968, the day after Martin was shot. Someone saw me put it in my locker, they went to the Dean of Discipline, a Marist Brother with very fast and very loose hands, and I got the shit beat out of me before someone got the drama teacher who told him why I had the gun.
You were always presumed guilty in Catholic school.
James people do check the comments later in the day;)
