Partisan political struggle is how the country decides what it stands for. Without it we have a mushy pile of nothing.

The fact is, many Democratic politicians privately detest the netroots’ self-righteousness and bullying. They also know their party has a historic opportunity to pick up disaffected Republicans and moderates, so long as they don’t blow it by drifting into cuckoo land.

Or: the netroots aren’t that important but Democratic politicians are so scared of ‘em they won’t go on record calling them out.

Do the Republicans think they can take out Hillary easier than Edwards?

I don’t suppose that it might have anything to do with the fact she is the first viable female presidential candidate?

Let’s assume the race and gender of our candidates were unknown, and we had only their records and positions to go by. Who to vote for?

I haven’t read Brooks since his piece just before the 2004 election, the most concentrated dose of venom, spite and hatred I’ve read. It looked like he expected to lose and thought that if he could sway just a few votes with a maximum exertion of viciousness, it was worth blowing his cutesy act over.

Democrats and Republicans are terrified by the blogosphere. If Gore runs he will embrace the blogs. You bet your ass he is watching and waiting.

He could provide some well needed balance to the political discourse and redirect some of the madness that is going on.

OKK, nobody is shoving Clinton down my throat, although they may be trying. I like her because she is smart enough to NOT let the MSM screw her over. Remember the debate on CNN when the “moderator” tried to get the dem candidates to raise their hands on an issue that involved a much more complex answer than just a yes or no? Remember when she didn’t give the easy answer of saying she would promise to meet with the leaders of Iran and North Korea? Remember Sunday, when she had the ability to line up the MSM with her schedule to get on all of the political shows? I love the idea that this woman is brilliant and has brilliant people around her. Remember, nobody can accomplish anything if they are not elected. She knows that anything she says now to pacify us lefties will be used against her in the general election. Karl Rove has met his match, and then some.

I think we’ll just have to disagree on Sen. Clinton. ;0)
